Mike Keneally kicking ass and taking names! (Took a while to find something with decent sound quality!) I've loved this guy for sooo long, I almost couldn't believe it when he hit the road with Brendon Small (another under-rated genius, imho) and Dethklok.
smooches,

Big difference between "worship" and "appreciate". I don't worship any one particular musician over another. Each one has there own unique "voice" so to speak.I prefer to look at their respective talent for what they "DO",not what they "DON'T". I certainly appreciate each and everyone of them as individuals.

Chunky monkey - You're right, Joe can pick whoever he likes to drum for him and sometimes it;s good to be loyal to ones friends. However, IMO Jeff is not much better than average and I think ole Flash's point (one I agree with) is that Joe's music could be so much better with a top notch drummist.

Personally my favourite drummer that Joe has worked with is Simon Phillips. Now THAT guys not only knows his way around a drumkit, but he can play just about any style you throw at him too. He's worked with just about all my favourite musicians too. He is most definitely the drummers' drummer in my books!!!!
Now...about that beer *slides huge beer stein along bar*

Jesse K....at the CF show in Tahoe, where did you stand...were you at the barrier, left side, with a backpack on the ground? If you were, my son stood next to you, and I was next to him :) Awesome show eh?
yeah Bob, I dunno how shipping works...I pre-ordered as soon as the cd's became available and it ships from Kentucky. We're about as far away to ship to as California peeps are, but their cd's shipped at least 2 days earlier, possibly 3, than yours and mine. Kentucky hates Oregon, lol!!
Ian, there IS a Best Buy in Salem, and it's super easy to get to...it's off of Lancaster Drive. Lancaster parallels I-5, you shouldn't have any trouble finding it. Call them up and ask them if they'll have it, and to reserve u a copy :)
Chelle, did Noah rescue u?

Turboian, I knew about the digital dl, but that does me no good. I'd rather have the cd with all the songs than have 2 songs floating around elsewhere. I rip the cd's I want to hear on my mp3 player anyways, so it'll get there eventually. Just hate that they didn't put the FULL cd out and be done with it. The way record companies do this with "extra songs" is ca-ca. If I have to pay an extra 2 or 3 dollars for the dl's anyways, just put them on the feckin cd already! Nice tidy package imo. Thanks for the info though.
TheBob, always better to have extra when it comes to Joe. lol!
Fatape, you deserve a hug for those two JC posts! Hi 5! Personally I think Jeff's drumming has improved over the years. As with a lot of Joe's songs, after the record is out, the songs open up a bit throughout the tour and become "jammier" and the band gets to expand on the songs a bit. Very cool imo. lol! And btw, what a lovely chainsaw. lol!
Chee, it was done raining by the time I got up this morning, but the rivers and streams are flooded. Haven't checked the news yet. I'm sure there's lots of damage. It got pretty windy to boot, so that didn't help. lol! Feckin acorns dropping on yer car hard enough to break a window. I have a dent in the roof of my car from the last storm we had. The sky turnt black for that storm, and the wind was crazy! I was driving home from picking up A from school, and it felt & sounded like somebody hit the top of the car with a brick. If it would have hit prolly 3 inches one way or the other, it might have broke my moon roof or my front windshield. Lucky I guess? Just got a nice ding in front of the plastic wind shield. And btw, A drove himself to school today. lol!
Got a big smile on my face as soon as Two Sides started. Every song I hear, I think "This could be my favorite song..." lol! This one could! lol!

Joe, what was the name of the album your mom used to listen to. Maybe you can turn us on to some of that good stuff you grew up with :-) HA! Your mom must have had it going on back in the day. LOL! Good stuff man!
edit: our total rainfall in 24 hours was 5.15 inches. Datsalottarain!

We agree on Simon Philips. (The tracks with him on Super Colossol immediately stood out among the rest for me).
Love that chainsaw! Now bring me Jeff's kit :-)

I don't doubt that Jeff is a very nice person (dimples and all) and I am not knocking him as a person. I just feel that if Joe is to seal his legacy with a truly memorable album he needs to have musicians around him when composing/recording who are also masters of their own instruments.

Dear Joe
I am a 10 years long belgian fan and I still remember the great concert you gave in my country in autumn 2000. I thank the very good friend that invited me that day to go and see the best rock guitarist who taught guitar to all the rock guistarists I also like hearing to. Autumn 2010 is here and I've just broken my money box to get the whole thing : a JS-1200 Ibanez guitar, a mini-colossal peavey amp, a digitech Whammy pedal, the four Satriani signature Vox pedals and the Electro-Harmonix POG. I'm ready for a new life. I'm a happy guy.
I also bought the CD and the DVD of your last concert in Paris. I'm now searching for that crazy weird sound I hear in the song GHOSTS. Would you please tell me how you make such weird sound and which pedal you use to do so ? And I'll be a happier guy. Thank you very much for your music.
