Austin- I just remember you saying you had a Droid; I wasn't sure how many models were produced prior to the current line-up. I do remember reading that Android 2.2 will support Flash, but even the Samsung Fascinate does not have 2.2 yet, and it just recently hit the market. She is wanting to return it for a Droid just to have the Flash capability, but it may be worth waiting for because otherwise that phone does everything we throw at it. It's kind of sad that it plays Youtube videos faster than my computer!

Napa People- If anybody decides they can't make it to the Napa gig please let me know, I may try to squeeze that giant trip in if someone needs to offload a ticket. Not that I expect anyone will back out, but in case something comes up I may be able to absorb the cost of a ticket. Otherwise I'll stick to my plan and wait for the regular west coast shows.

Michelle- I was actually listening to the radio earlier (which is very rare for me) and heard a Disturbed song that I really liked- 'Another Way to Die' was the name of it, I believe. I was excited about it and I know you really like them so I had to rush on here and tell you about it!
I really should listen to the radio more often. I'll be the first to admit that my taste in music is probably too limited. I guess I just stick to the songs that I love. There was a song right after Disturbed that I liked too; Shaman's Harvest- 'Dragonfly'. I've never even heard of these guys before!

Restringing today; in the mood for change so I'm putting on 10's for the first time in about a year. I always like the transition back to 9's after using the heavier gauge for a few weeks.

Ian

Joe,

I am a 62 year old drummer (a month younger than Sammy) and just wanted to comment that Chickenfoot is one of, if not the best, Rock group to come along in at least 30 years. With what you have done in the short time you guys were together it says to me that if the group stays together it will become iconic and be talked about for many years to come. I'm hopeful that something can be worked out with Chad to make Chickenfoot a staple on the rock menu for many years to come. If the second album keeps up with the momentum the first album initiated it could break this thing wide open.

Thanks for the first album! Now I need to see you guys in Chicago!

Stone Temple Pilots Delay Tour Following Scott Weiland’s Onstage Rant

There's a video clip at the bottom of the article...Scott says he's drinking again. In early 2008 he canceled a string of Velvet Revolver dates to go into rehab. I hope he can get himself straightened out, for good this time.

TheBob - I should say I don't know for sure that you haven't been passed up, but I think my reasoning makes sense. How can you have a presale password for a show that doesn't exist yet...you know? Hopefully it's cleared up soon.
neve - Welcome! Tell us a bit about yourself...
turbo236 - This article tells me 2.2 will be coming to the Samsung Fascinate in late October-ish.

If you can return the phone for a Droid without paying any extra fees aside from the difference in cost, it might be worth doing...it's an awesome phone and I love everything about it. But it doesn't hurt to wait for the update to come to a phone that you're already familiar with.

OK Go - White Knuckles Now that's a great video! LOL!

TurboIan, I got the Disturbed Asylum cd the day it was released :-) Thanks for the heads up though. Another Way To Die is another song that's sad but true. Be sure to read the lyrics. Great cd too. Make sure you get the cd with the dvd in it. They have some good Pantera stuff in there.

Never heard of Shaman's Harvest. Not bad! I hardly ever listen to the radio myself. We live in a suck-tion zone and none of the good stations come in here. Just one bobo honkin' local station that might plays a few good tunes on a Saturday night.

From the Black Wizards cd - Littleworth Lane sounds pretty cool.

BCC sounds pretty decent from the samples. I never heard Glenn Hughes w/ Sabbath, but can see him fitting in with what they were at that point in time (knowing how The Eternal Idol, Headless Cross, and Tyr sounded with Tony Martin)

Wow...the samples sure came and went pretty quickly. I listened to them all two times through as soon as I saw the link. The podcasts should be starting any day now, though, so we don't have long to wait. From my initial impressions it sounds like there's a variety of musical styles on the album, kind of like PSATMOR...but I'll save other comments for podcast time.

michelle - I just bought my ticket to the Bonzo tribute on Saturday. I'm going wine tasting up in Malibu with some friends earlier that day...hopefully I can get back to Long Beach no later than 6:30 so I can make it up to LA for the gig on time. Keep your fingers crossed for me that day, yeah? :-)
