Joe, did you write Pyrrhic Victoria with your career in mind? Do you feel that your quest to master the guitar (and the many hours that went into that pursuit) came at a "Crippling" personal cost?

Pyrrhic Victoria- i love the classic blues part ..but then it really changes into a interesting Anthem melody...curious how this one will pan out..i hope their shipping them discs out...just installed a new car stereo today..:)

Joe..it would be cool to see you use these..http://www.drstrings.com/neon-strings-gallery

Hey Distorted Soul , i own (1) JS-1200 w/ new Edge bridge, (1) js-1000 WH w/ original Edge, and the new js-2400....the only one with the MoJo Pickup...and thats the biggest difference i find between all of them...though the feel of the 2400 feels precise and smoother than my others..really not by much...edge is really stable....hope that lasts...

Glitz- TV Aye?...enjoy the perks man..thats gr8

Man, I'm really enjoying these podcasts. I need to go to bed, but I want to stay up because I know the next one will be posted within the hour... Decisions, decisions.

All of this new music has really got me itching for a new guitar for some reason. I've been planning on buying a new amp for about 18 months now, just haven't set aside the money for it. Maybe it's time to start shopping again!

Just finished reading the interview with Joe that was posted here earlier. I wasn't really surprised to hear that Premonition and Light Years Away were considered for the Chickenfoot album. I was glad to hear that he's already sent Sammy a handful of demos for CF II; nice to hear the wheels are in motion for the next record. I often wonder how Joe comes up with so much material in so little time, but I've heard him mention a couple times that some of these songs have been 'floating around' for several years. I remember on the first podcast Joe said he cut the album down from 50 tracks to what it is now... It'd be pretty cool to hear those 40 others, or at least parts of them to see what kind of stuff didn't make the cut. I guess we'll just have to wait for the next few albums to hear them. There will always be 30 or 40 songs that didn't make it, though.

Are the DR strings really as good as they say they are? I picked up a set the other day to try out, but I just put on a set of D'Adarrio's right before that, so it'll be awhile before I get them on.

I was just thinking about a couple of Joe's recent releases: I hope there aren't any spelling mistakes or sequencing errors with the tracks on BSAWW!

RE: STRINGS

The only strings I use are Elixirs. They cost a bit more but damn worth every cent. They stay fresh sounding for months and i play the guitar for at least a couple of hours everyday.Never been let down by them. Hope that helps. Cheers :-)

I use Elixirs as well... great strings! Not sure what's on my JS2400 (will need to change them soon). If they are DRs, which they may be, they are ok strings... pretty good... but nothing like the Elixirs; a bit of Fast Fret rubbed on and it's like playing on glass.

OOooohhhhh LYA podcast is up - fab stuff Joe!! Even though I've already played the song 100 times the podcast is great for that little glimpse into how it was born.

It's also great that Jon loads these up in the evening for Aussies. Thanks Jon!!!
