Who has seen a Joe show at the Grand Sierra in Reno? I'm trying to decide whether to drive 8 hrs to Reno and see that show after doing the same for Portland, or flying to Spokane to see him at the Bing Crosby instead of Reno.

Any suggestions?

Ian

Ian, the Grand Sierra is REALLY nice for a show...it's an all-seated venue, I've never done it but I think some peeps can actually eat dinner during the show, I always just wanna concentrate on JOE!

The stage is very large compared to Joe's usual venues I've been at and the acoustics are wonderful!!! If you don't mind seats, I recommend it :) But I don't know anything about the other venue yer considering, however if it helps, there might be a bunch of crazy t2jers at that show and you can get a room in the same place as the show, they're very reasonable! Plus then u can keep an eye out for the band guys, they wander around in there all the time :D It's FUN!

WHO'S GOING TO OAKLAND AND RENO!! I'm not sure we can do Portland, there is a whole day in between there and Oakland to drive but DAMN thasa lotta driving fer meh! And in the winter!!

Peace, you've got the fever, LOL!!! It's a lovely disease, really :) Satchafunkilitis, no cure but who cares!!

Correct me if I'm wrong - one Spokane ticket must surely be sold already? : ) Joe clearly listens given the Portland & Spokane dates.

Too cool Joe, too cool!

CHEESE- You know ...I am supposed to be working LOL but I take BREAKS most days to check the forum. So I am working and take one of my BREAKS and low and behold the tour announcement...

I start yelling WHOO HOOO PORTLAND!!!!! My daughter works with me in the office and I THINK she might have me committed if I don't stop carrying on about the tour & JOE.

If I did not have the grandchildren coming in that time frame ( so far the 11th looks safe)I would be hitting as many show as I could fit in and had credit limit left for ......

I am not KIDDING..... so... yes... I DO have the Satchifunkilitus bug The best part is- I am not alone in my affliction & I hope the cure is never found!!!!!

EDIT*- I forgot to thank the one who made all this happen

THANK YOU JOE >>>>YOU'RE THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!! <3

Peace Lily- You're right I believe; Snoqualmie is not too far from Seattle. I had never heard of it before, and didn't see it on the tour page. I guess I couldn't take my eyes off of Portland! That's only about a 7 hour drive for us, and my girlfriend has a lot of family over there, so we were already planning a trip over there anyway. This works out perfectly. Now I just have to decide between Reno, Seattle and Spokane for my second show.

Cheese- Thanks for the info on Reno. I figure anything has to be better than the Silver Legacy! I do remember we had chairs at the Legacy, but I am glad that he's not going back there, even if I decide not to! I do notice that the show in Portland is mostly GA. How come you're passing up your own state for the Oakland show?

I had really hoped there would be a little more advance notice on the western leg of the tour. This doesn't leave much time for planning and such before the presales tomorrow.

Oh yeah, the Grand Sierra is MUUU-HUUUUCH better than the Silver Legacy....I really don't like that place!

Edit: Peace, u shud see what my work-peeps hafta put up with, with me here "wooting" over Joe every 5 minutes, LOL! Yer in good company!

As to why skipping Portland, it's a matter of driving time...with just me driving, to go 5 hours to Portland, then the next day turn around and re-trace those 5 hours (actually prolly at least 6 in winter, there's a big ole mountain pass in there) and THEN drive the 7ish MORE hours to get to Oakland on top of the 6....yeah...NO! LOL! Last time we did a Portland/Reno show back to back, we flew outta Portland and surprised Joe by popping up the next night...only he had a tour bus...we dint, LOL!

It works out better to do the Oakland/Reno shows cuz they're closer together to drive to, Reno is a seated venue so no worries about standing in line there all day, so can relax a bit on the road, won't be frantic over the time. And if my best road-peeps come to those two shows, that rules out Portland even more. Plus...damn...not sure how we'd all get to Vegas the day after Reno, it's a helluva long drive and that's a GA show soooooooooooooooooo....

Decisions, decisions....Oakland and Reno are fo'sho'. :)

Hi Joe, I happen to play through a JSX combo and I was really blown away with the sound (all channels). The only thing that stops me from buying it now is that it's probably too loud (120 W is a lot), even in half power.

Is the 50W version of the JSX will come out soon? Also, I did not see any JSX on the podcasts (only Marshall amps). My sales rep from Sweetwater says you move away from Peavey and using Marshall now (JVM). Is that true?

Regards, Yair

Peace- I remember Webby Jon posting on here a while back that Joe had selected a few special unaffected tracks from the LIP DVD to be included as bonus features on the BSAWW release. (If I remember correctly.) I'll see if I can find it after I post this.

Tracie- I see why you are skipping Portland, but I just wondered why you are choosing to go to Oakland instead of Portland? Will that be a better show you think? I'd love to see Joe on his home turf some day, but I'll hit the closer shows while they're available.

I did just realize how close together some of the western dates are.... I am hoping to do 2 shows, but I may have to change my definite from Portland to Reno and possibly just fly to Spokane or Seattle and catch that show. Lots of planning tonight; buying tickets first thing tomorrow!

un-affected live in paris - i'm happy to report that we received a copy of an unaffected edited version of this and joe has selected a few tracks to be plucked out to appear on an exclusive version of BSAWW. details to come on that as they develop.

That was posted by Webmaster on Friday, August 20th.
