Ice9mike - I think you are right about the money since the GA tickets were only 35 dollars.

Turbo236 - I 'm happy to have Joe finally play here after moving here 4 years ago. One show will never do though, I know you agree. At the Roseland you have to walk through a metal detector and then get patted down....comes with the territory I guess.

I haven't posted in about a week. I just watched all the podcasts at once. I really understand the feel of "Pyrrhic Victoria". I makes you feel like your moving forward and looking back at the same time.

But the song that really got me was "Solitude". I really can't stop listening to it. It's just so.........there. If you know what I'm talking about. I feel like I'm in the middle of a forest, sitting next to a quiet pond. Calm, yet sad and truly alone. Meditating, but not really thinking about anything. This song sits deep within me. This song is.........................powerful and tame all at once. I can't find words to truly express this song's connection with me.

It reminds me of another one of Joe's songs. Same tone, and same sad feeling. Can somebody remind me????

Mahavishnu- The Reno presale requires a password that you get if/when you pre-order the new CD..

I got my code as soon as I placed my order, so you may be able to put in an order and cross your fingers that you get it in time because many others here have had troubles with that. I would just give you mine but I'm gonna use it in the morning!

oxley11- The first time I listened to 'Solitude' I felt the same way I did when I first heard 'Day at the Beach'. It's not like me to admit this, but I actually shed a few tears the first time I heard that song a few years ago; just hit me the right way I guess.

I can see putting Solitude on repeat with Z.Z.'s Song, Brother John, and Baroque... maybe Tears In The Rain too

I can hear a little bit of the rhythm of 'New Blues' when I listen to 'Solitude' as well. Kind of a stretch, but I can hear it. As far as feeling, though, it reminds me more of 'Day at the Beach'.

@turbo236- it did sound like A Day At The Beach to me. Except it sounded more lonely. But Distorted Soul reminded me of what I was thinking of. Baroque sounds very similar to it. Except Baroque has that Renaissance feel to it. But it does certainly remind off A Day At The Beach. I don't know but it's like everybody has a similar response to it. It's like an intrinsic emotion that we all have after we truly experience Joe's songs.

Joe! A guitar instrumental gospel song! Wow, ballsy! What else can I say, I'm totally stoked to hear the whole thing!

As a music lover, I like to try and combine all sorts of music into mine, but I never would of ever touched that style haha, right on.

The presale code for the majority of the shows is a 15-character code that you should have received when you preordered the album. It's a mix of letters and numbers that is unique to each preorder and has a four-ticket limit. If you preordered the album before the first shows went on sale (August 23), you probably received your code immediately.

If you preordered later than that, your code probably hasn't come due to an error on Sony's part. I posted a link earlier (http://www.sonymusicdigital.com/joe-satriani/contact/new) where you can contact Sony customer service if you need a new code, or your old code re-sent. It may take them a while to get back to you, so if your presale is tomorrow morning you might be out of luck.

Preorder codes aside, some shows have presales through the venue, a promoter, radio station, etc. Those presales have their own passwords, but they're usually easy to guess. BLACKSWANS, JOE, GUITAR, and WORMHOLE have been passwords for some shows so far.

Mind you, I never received a code after I pre-ordered the CD, apparently because I don't live in the U.S...........

Just out of curiousity, if you were going to interview Joe today (tomorrow or yesterday, wherever you are), what would you ask him?

The Golden Room is very nice, very spiritual, just shows how versatile the whole band is. No wonder Sammy calls Joe "Ghandi" lol.

Is there a thread to the veganism Joe adopted I wonder.
