GG2, It just kills me, and I'm so glad you and Steve spoke up. The Bush's have had 20 years in office to F up the US, and the minute Obama (or any Dem) gets in it's all his fault. Are people really that ...ignorant? Really? They listen to idiot hate mongers like Karl Rove, Rush Limbaugh, and Fox news (a channel for high functioning retards IMO), and believe all the bs being created for the good ol' boys to keep their control of the US and keep everyone in FEAR of what will happen if they're not in control. We have a "truth meter" on our news program that goes over what the politicians are spewing in their commercials. The half truths and total fabricated crap they put on these commercials should be illegal - on all sides! Anyways, that's enough of that. No secret where I stand. I'm just so effin tired of the fear tactics they're using against Obama. So lame. I don't know how the spin doctors sleep at night. I hope they all piss in bed :-) lol!

Go Niners!!

:43 secs left - tie game

ahh well, Saints won. lol!

turbo236 - Thanks for the note about the new Bombastic Meatbats album...I'll have to pick that one up when it's released.

I don't know any more than you do, but I doubt the slightly different name means anything. The Meatbats grew out of jamming as Glenn Hughes' backing band, so they go back a few years.

Rhythmsteady - Hi...you might be the only T2Jer who went to the Indio show. A few of us saw the next night's gig in Lake Tahoe, though.

Here is my earlier post with instructions on how to hear Dream Song.

The "BC DVD" you're asking about is probably the bonus disc that comes with the new album from Black Country Communion. That album comes out tomorrow (Tuesday) in the US. It's not related to Satch in any way, but it sounds great so we're all psyched.

Listening to: Gin Blossoms - New Miserable Experience (current song: 29)

Meatbats More Meat pre-order. The album is US$9.98, and ships the day before release date, or you can pay $25.00 for an upgrade and have an autographed copy shipped on Sept. 28th and also receive a digital download of the entire album the same day. Even the track listing sounds funky!

Austin- I noticed on their Myspace page that they have a show Oct. 26th at the Baked Potato Jazz Club in Studio City. Not sure if this is the same Baked Potato you posted a pic of your dinner on FB the other night from or not, but I thought I'd throw that out there. There are a couple other shows in L.A., I believe.

@GoldenGirl2- she was right about Obama being a communist, but what does she mean America has been "hell in a handbasket since 1945"? How old was this lady that she knows so much about it? She makes it sound like America was a utopia before World War II. I wasn't alive at the time, but I was told Ronald Reagan was an excellent president.

Anyway, straying from politics, I made a song off of a backing track and I've been working on it for the past few days. I'll upload it for everybody in a couple of days, becuase I still need to work on the tone I want, and the riffs, and where they go. Yeah. So a few days from now it should be up. And this is the first song I've ever written, so I want some constructive criticism. And It's called Lightning the Superhero.

Hiya! Do The Stu and Blue Moon ... Thanks!!! Im gonna click on them right now... thanks again... :)

And Do The Stu, you should of went to the Indio gig!! FANTASTIC crazy show!!! Man, I'll never forget this guy jumped up on stage and stood in front of Chad facing him, arms raised in the air "King Kong" style, fists pumping... then security came to drag him off but Sammy told them not to, so they didn't and the band kept on playing, guy still standing there, Chad and all the guys were just smiling big loving it, then Sammy took his beer and poured it down the guys throat! It was pretty funny. For a good 5 sec I'd say he poured away... his beer down the guy's hatch...hilarious Somewhere in there (i forget which song now) Joe's equipment went out and i'll never forget his expression when it happened. Poor Joe :( but Sammy cheered him on and got the crowd going for him hooting and hollaring till he and his tech got it fixed :) Sammy says "hmmm, what shall I say now..hmmm.....i know! DRUM SOLO!!!!!!" crowd goes crazy and Chad went off. And damn can he drum!! Im definetely a fan of his now! Anyways- I see we live not TOO far from eachother, so I thought id give you the skinny on the show :) It was absolutely one of the most amazing, entertaining, funny as hell (those guys are just hilarious) rock shows that ive ever been too. I LOVE THE FOOT!!!!

So what does everyone think about the Black Country Communion album? It wasn't even on the shelf yet at the Best Buy I went to...I was there at 1 p.m., but they still had it sitting on the cart. Argh...

As an initial package, I think I like it more than the Chickenfoot release. And I like how they packaged a DVD with it the first time around, complete with live footage and interviews.

I've only listened to the album once so far, but I like it a lot. It's more adventurous than the Chickenfoot album, definitely. But I still think I like the Chickenfoot one more. We'll see if my opinion changes after a few more listens...

Steven Tyler is set to release a solo single in November. The song, Love Lives, is the theme to a Japanese movie called Space Battleship Yamoto. You can hear a clip of it here (starting at 1:15):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kr5Rq41tyP0

It sounds like what you'd expect, I guess...a ballad like Aerosmith's I Don't Want To Miss A Thing or Fly Away From Here.

turbo236 - Thanks for the info...I'll have to look into that Baked Potato gig (yes, it's the same place...the one and only).

I was talking to Chad about the Meatbats after the Universal City Chickenfoot gig last year...little did I know, the three people standing next to him were that band! So I was able to get their autographs, which was awesome. He told me they were playing an unnounced show at the Baked Potato (sitting in with someone else) the next night, but I went to another show instead (Davy Knowles at the Mint...and I think I chose right, because Peter Frampton showed up to jam).

Rhythmsteady - Thanks for the mini review. My parents live up in Northern California, so I did the Lake Tahoe show because it meant I could stop by and visit them for a few days. I'll definitely be at a Satriani show or three in California in January...maybe we'll find ourselves at the same gig.
Listening to: Dave Matthews Band - Everyday (current song: Dreams Of Our Fathers)

Hey everyone!! I'm new here, just wanted to say hi to everyone. I am a huge Chickenfoot fan, (even huge-er Sammy Hagar fan), and now trying to further develop my JoJo fan status!! So glad for Chickenfoot coming along and making me really take notice of Joe, who I must admit, was just a name that I knew in passing prior to these guys getting together. Well, I had the privelege of seeing the 'Foot play in Indio back on 09/10, and I got to meet Sammy and Chad, but no Joe!! (or Mike!). Well, just got my tix today for your show December 6th in Greensburg, PA (don't have to fly across the country this time!!), made sure I signed up for your M&G contest, and pre-ordered my signed copy of the new album!! I have really been diggin' the new single "Light Years Away", it makes me wanna dance, so groovy!! I even kind of sing along to it sometines!! Joe, one question for you... does Chickenfoot ever play "Runnin' Out" in concert? It's not on the DVD and you didn't play it in Indio? LOVE that song, don't you guys? ha!! Okay Joe, hope there's a way I can meet ya in PA and get my third Chickenfoot autograph on my CD/DVD, then all I gotta do is chase Mikey down for his. ROCK ON!! Thanks¢¾
