thanx for the reviews people!!!! watched a couple quick vids too! glad everyone had a good time. we know someone from RI who was in the front row with you all and all reports said the same thing, the show was awesome as usual. i guess alot of people are surpised with the Wabo's. i'm not, we have been seeing them play since summer 97 when sammy, vic and jesse did an acoustic show at Aerosmith's club Mama Kin. got the audio from it and it's awesome! keeping my fingers crossed that Joe and maybe the rest of Chickenfoot will show up for a show in Cabo. 25 more days!!!!

...You probably never bought a brand new husqvarna dirtbike in the 70`s before have you? probably not so you dont know what they do.Just listen what I have is from my Husqvarna 1975 400 WR and I have had it since I was about 12 or 13 it,s called zuskarvarn frebzilone! .It,s when the body strengthens the brain ,like a zuskavarna whic was like an actual husky dog when the brain becomes strengthened their,s juic sometime,s in the brain they call this weloin whic is what is a disinfectant it kill,s everything in the brain saratoinin dopamine etc everything gone.Then you wehline whic is where you just are suppose to be something different! then normaly you go to the doctor then you take vallerzoik whic will then occasionaly like the zukavrana dog run wild when proper circumstance of power allow the release of the wild!And that my friend is how a swedish husqvarna dirtbike realy work,s believe me after that I bought Husqvarna sweden and I own husqvarna italy bmw whic i own owns the dirtbikes now anyways 8pm risperdal time later wolf2.

Hey Joe!

I've been trying to mimic your awesome tone on "The Souls of Distortion" if you are able to read this message and answer I'd love to read on how you achieved it! :) Take care! I love your music and you are a great inspiration.

If anyone else has input I'd be very grateful too :D

Cheers to all Satch fans!

thanks for the link to the music radar article (Joe's top 10 Hendrix songs) - I find most of them right on the money, though I'd push All Along the Watchtower a bit higher than #7. Machine Gun & Voodoo Child absolutely belong.

appreciate the heads up on the new Death Angel album. I only have Act III (back from '90) but always enjoy listening to it. Stagnant (especially the intro!), Seemingly Endless Time, and A Room With a View are my favorites on that one, but the whole work is solid.

Scuba, thanks for the summary of the radio interview with Joe today, us peeps who couldn't listen appreciated it :)

And appreciated Mr. Pipster who gifted us with Dream Song :)))

Chelle, I TOLE u he was on fire! LOL!!

Love Dream Song Joe...I feel in my bones this album is going to be extra-special, and that's really saying something cuz I've loved just about everything you've ever done! There's just something about the vibe of this album so far....I can't explain it right, but I'm definitely feeling it.

Austin, my score was totally shameful, so bad I can't even remember what it was...maybe somewhere in the 70's or even 80's? I think I blocked it out ferever, LOL! Chris was in the low 50's, he had a lot of scores of just.....2 per hole, the lil turkey gizzard!! You sound like yer dad, brother, and u were very evenly matched :)

Can't be too much longer now for the podcasts to start, album release is 3 weeks away...21 days....and if Joe covers all 13 songs, maybe next Monday or Tuesday??

I'm fer bed, still recovering a titch from the drive yesterday. But man if I could, I'd do it every day to see Joe &/or Chickenfoot!!

How long did it take everyone to get the mp3 download after you preordered the cd?

I pre ordered mine last week and haven't seen anything about the mp3 yet. Can't wait for the cd to come out! I will also be getting the itunes version, as Joe said it will have a bonus track.

Just finished listening to the Dream Song excerpt and while not quite as quickly hooked as I was on Light Years Away & God Is Crying, the way this song/exerpt builds and develops in complexity, depth, and melodic direction will make for a great road trip soundtrack. I like the change at the 1:30 mark in the sample.

Thanks for the post, Pip!

all - if you haven't already picked up your free mp3 of "Light Years Away", check it out now at http://satriani.com/lightyearsaway -- we're giving it to ya for a tweet or facebook post to see how that works to help spread the news of the new album :}

do the stu - ended up missing the dmb show due to car failure (long story). joe's rehearsal for the tour starts at the end of the month so i think you still have some time to make your suggestions for songs :}

logicbdj - you can send things to Joe Satriani Music, PO Box 2830, Santa Rosa, CA 95405 but understand he doesn't have time to listen to everything sent to him.

Guitarman77897 - it sounds like you may be having some problems with cookies in your browser. try clearing them all out and see if that helps.

Pip55 - we're just putting the final touches on the first podcast episode and i think you'll love it-- it'll be released soon!

the foot laid it down big and loud in tahoe! - hope everyone who made it out had a blast. i can tell you that we did and the band was having a blast -- you could see it was a treat for them all to just have 2 shows in a row to unleash and have a good time and the back stage vibe was more of the same. we have some good video archives of the show and backstage shenanigans which we'll be browsing through for doing something with later on...

Plz suggest how i should start about learning musical theory properly. i have just started learning scales n modes n pentatonics but i am having a hard time in mixing them up while soloing. i am self taught hence i have a learnt at a slow yet steady pace. i know m a long shot but its my love for music that makes me take these steps.
