Hiya! Do The Stu and Blue Moon ... Thanks!!! Im gonna click on them right now... thanks again... :)

And Do The Stu, you should of went to the Indio gig!! FANTASTIC crazy show!!! Man, I'll never forget this guy jumped up on stage and stood in front of Chad facing him, arms raised in the air "King Kong" style, fists pumping... then security came to drag him off but Sammy told them not to, so they didn't and the band kept on playing, guy still standing there, Chad and all the guys were just smiling big loving it, then Sammy took his beer and poured it down the guys throat! It was pretty funny. For a good 5 sec I'd say he poured away... his beer down the guy's hatch...hilarious Somewhere in there (i forget which song now) Joe's equipment went out and i'll never forget his expression when it happened. Poor Joe :( but Sammy cheered him on and got the crowd going for him hooting and hollaring till he and his tech got it fixed :) Sammy says "hmmm, what shall I say now..hmmm.....i know! DRUM SOLO!!!!!!" crowd goes crazy and Chad went off. And damn can he drum!! Im definetely a fan of his now! Anyways- I see we live not TOO far from eachother, so I thought id give you the skinny on the show :) It was absolutely one of the most amazing, entertaining, funny as hell (those guys are just hilarious) rock shows that ive ever been too. I LOVE THE FOOT!!!!

So what does everyone think about the Black Country Communion album? It wasn't even on the shelf yet at the Best Buy I went to...I was there at 1 p.m., but they still had it sitting on the cart. Argh...

As an initial package, I think I like it more than the Chickenfoot release. And I like how they packaged a DVD with it the first time around, complete with live footage and interviews.

I've only listened to the album once so far, but I like it a lot. It's more adventurous than the Chickenfoot album, definitely. But I still think I like the Chickenfoot one more. We'll see if my opinion changes after a few more listens...

Steven Tyler is set to release a solo single in November. The song, Love Lives, is the theme to a Japanese movie called Space Battleship Yamoto. You can hear a clip of it here (starting at 1:15):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kr5Rq41tyP0

It sounds like what you'd expect, I guess...a ballad like Aerosmith's I Don't Want To Miss A Thing or Fly Away From Here.

turbo236 - Thanks for the info...I'll have to look into that Baked Potato gig (yes, it's the same place...the one and only).

I was talking to Chad about the Meatbats after the Universal City Chickenfoot gig last year...little did I know, the three people standing next to him were that band! So I was able to get their autographs, which was awesome. He told me they were playing an unnounced show at the Baked Potato (sitting in with someone else) the next night, but I went to another show instead (Davy Knowles at the Mint...and I think I chose right, because Peter Frampton showed up to jam).

Rhythmsteady - Thanks for the mini review. My parents live up in Northern California, so I did the Lake Tahoe show because it meant I could stop by and visit them for a few days. I'll definitely be at a Satriani show or three in California in January...maybe we'll find ourselves at the same gig.
Listening to: Dave Matthews Band - Everyday (current song: Dreams Of Our Fathers)

Hey everyone!! I'm new here, just wanted to say hi to everyone. I am a huge Chickenfoot fan, (even huge-er Sammy Hagar fan), and now trying to further develop my JoJo fan status!! So glad for Chickenfoot coming along and making me really take notice of Joe, who I must admit, was just a name that I knew in passing prior to these guys getting together. Well, I had the privelege of seeing the 'Foot play in Indio back on 09/10, and I got to meet Sammy and Chad, but no Joe!! (or Mike!). Well, just got my tix today for your show December 6th in Greensburg, PA (don't have to fly across the country this time!!), made sure I signed up for your M&G contest, and pre-ordered my signed copy of the new album!! I have really been diggin' the new single "Light Years Away", it makes me wanna dance, so groovy!! I even kind of sing along to it sometines!! Joe, one question for you... does Chickenfoot ever play "Runnin' Out" in concert? It's not on the DVD and you didn't play it in Indio? LOVE that song, don't you guys? ha!! Okay Joe, hope there's a way I can meet ya in PA and get my third Chickenfoot autograph on my CD/DVD, then all I gotta do is chase Mikey down for his. ROCK ON!! Thanks¢¾

Austin- I haven't made it through all of the BCC offerings yet, mainly just some live footage that's been posted and what came on the DVD. I wouldn't say that I'm disappointed, but it really didn't meet my expectations. Then again, I may have had them set a little high. I'll keep spinning the album and give it a fair chance.
One initial thought that I don't think will change is that I prefer Joe Bonamassa as a solo artist. Not to mention he has a very pleasant singing voice and Glenn Hughes is just a little too over the top for me.

Also, I wanted to ask you about your phone; I remember you said you have a Droid. Is it an X? My girlfriend just bought a Samsung Fascinate and is turned off by the fact that it doesn't support Flash, and I believe the Droid X does. I thought I'd talk to someone who uses one before we consider the trade-in any further.

Oh DEFINETELY Do The Stu....I am already there let me tell you and It will be my very first Satriani show! I feel very VERY ashamed and saddened I never went and saw him play when I first discovered him back in the early 90's, bought 'Surfing With The Alien' and i coulda swore i had The Extremist as well, though I cant seem to find it these days...And Im just really dying inside because I am really broke, I want to own ALL of his music, But I just do not have the funds to go out and purchase EVERYTHING..If i could, I would be out the door this very minute picking up ALL of Joe's stuff :(.anyways- so, what I am is a 'RETURNING' JoJo fan :) So, the CF show was my very first time seeing him live and then I MEET HIM TOO!!!!!! how awesome is that??? :) :) :)

I would love to meet up with you when the time comes :) ___________________________________________________Hi 302 Boss Chick.....yeah! that was hilarious! Sammy had me cracking up the whole night ! Everybody around me was laughing. And EVERYONE was into it, Foot sounded incredible!!!! I am so excited to see them again, I just cant wait for it. Okay, so since your discovering Joe, you HAVE to start with 'Surfing With The Alien" no two ways about that. It is the most gorgeous thing your ears will ever hear believe me. Jaw dropping Incredible guitar magic from our JoJo :) And one of my favorite songs is "Flying In a Blue Dream" oh is it ever just so gorgeous..... And------pick up his latest live Dvd "Live In Paris-I just Wanna Rock" whew yeah!!!!!!!

Hmmm...according to this page, everyone at the Napa gig will get a copy of BS&WW. Pretty cool.

That page also says the opener will be Carter and Bodlovich, the acoustic guitar duo that opened the west coast gigs (And all of the US gigs? I don't remember.) on the ITLIS? tour.

TheBob - The road page says the preorder presale isn't valid for Canada (there's a password listed on the page), and all of the other shows are on sale already. So there isn't currently a presale that you could take part in. Once the rest of the tour is booked, I bet you get an email.

For people who did the presale thing already, was the password something specific to you or was it generic (SATCH, WORMHOLE, GUITAR, etc.)?

302_Boss_Chick - Chickenfoot played Runnin' Out on their short North American tour last spring. It may have been played a few times in Europe (I'm not sure), but it hasn't been played since then.
turbo236 - I have the original Motorola Droid (I bought it in June, but it was released last November). Android (the phone's OS) is compatible with Flash starting with OS version 2.2. I think Google is still in the process of rolling out 2.2 across all of the phones/carriers, but once you get the 2.2 update your phone will support Flash. It shouldn't take more than a few weeks for them to bring the update to everyone...the most popular phones already have it.
js1200js1000 - I don't have an iPhone, but I think I remember roo and some other people who use his app saying that a few bugs popped up recently. I don't know if they've been fixed yet.

JOE - PLEASE consider pulling a tune out of the vault for the show in NAPA....such as LUMINOUS FLESH GIANTS and or THE MIGHTY TURTLE HEAD!

I went to see Johnny Winter tonight....sad to say he has trouble with his solos now. Check the crossroads blues festival from this summer on you tube and you will see what I mean. I had hoped he just had an off night but no , it is true. I will share my pics soon...bummer
