Going retro tonight and going to the drive-in. And a little burger joint that I lived near in the 70's. Hamburger Habit. Sorry DTS it;s better than In and Out and it now branching out a bit on it's own in SO CA. Husband and I had our first date at this very drive-in, reopened this summer.

I am so exited! I just got my tickets to the show at the Best Buy Theater in New York and I know it will be an amazing show. Mr. Satriani, if you ever read this, you inspired me to pick up a guitar. I have had no lessons and have been self taught for 4 years and I've been trying so hard to be as talented as you, learning all the scales, chords, notes, pinch harmonics, etc... even writing my own songs. Music moves me in such a way, its my life, and your music speaks to me in a way other artists aren't able to do. That is why I am so glad I was lucky enough to get tickets to your show. Thank you so much for making all the awesome music you have made and I can't wait to see you live. \m/ d^_^b \m/

Pip - Once again, thanks for the videos. Always a pleasure.

I was wondering if anyone else noticed the red JS2400. Axeshredder, how has yours been coming along. Any word about the light blue single coil version Joe played on the Hendrix tour?

Grant - Congratulations! Again!

Webmaster Jon - Is there going to be any information posted on the JS GEAR tab about the new Vox Amplug? I am sooooo waiting for this one to come out.

Take care everyone...

Rhythmsteady, sorry it's so hot for you there, that's a bit much I'd say! We got up to a balmy 80-ish degrees today, the warmest it's been in more than a week, and it was lovely out. Felt so good.

Chad, Pip got to be with Joe cuz he was a very, very, VERY good boy this year. Since it wasn't u with Joe, guess we can figger that you were very wicked, LOL!! j/k.... Hope you and the new lady have a great time at your show!

Pip, yer just such a star :)

Pip - thanks for letting us see some of the lesson footage, they all feel like a nice fire-side chat with the legend. What a great thing to do and a great gift to be able to sit with Joe and talk about music and guitar playing. And you were able to do everything he showed you, which is impressive! Stop going on about the singing bit, it was fine, don't worry about it.

I've been using my daughter's music theory books to try to learn some theory. The first part was about solfa notes and trying to sing the do-re-mi sounds which seems to be a bit similar to the interval training. It's really bloody hard when you mix them all up and you can't channel Julie Andrews to get them right.

And yes I'm back from New Zealand, had a lovely time it's such a fun place and incredibly beautiful, reminded me of Canada. Went to the Aussie Rules football Grand Final yesterday which was wonderful, even though I had been up since 2:00 am Melbourne time to get the flight home and get to the MCG.

Finally got to watch the Webisode and the Podcasts - great stuff Joe and Jon!!!!!! This record is going to be epic. Bring it on.

...!

The John Bonham tribute tonight at the Key Club was AMAZING! The concert was similar in format to the Experience Hendrix tour, but with rotating drummers instead of guitarists. Lots of cool drummers showed up...my favorites were Steven Adler of Guns N Roses, Chris Slade of The Firm (Jimmy Page's post-LZ supergroup with Paul Rodgers), and Chad Smith. And I also have to mention James Kottak of The Scorpions because he flew in from South America just an hour before going onstage.

Chad played my favorite LZ song, Achilles Last Stand, which was VERY cool to see. He was insane!

And then there was Jason Bonham. And John's sister Pat and daughter Zoe, who each sang a song.

The show ended with Jason playing Moby Dick, with all of the other drummers playing some kind of percussion...and then they all took individual solos. Way cool. :-)

JS1200... I paid $1999 plus tax for my JS2400. www.axemusic.com out of Calgary charges a bit more (about $200 I think). I went to my local dealer and told him not to dick me around... to give me the best price possible and that I'm paying cash. He called back with that price, which matches a few USA internet music store sites. I figure it was a good price considering.

Bob, If Joe does shows in these places, we're gonna do our best to be at Portland, Reno and San Fran. Looking at Vegas too but just for me, not Chris. I think we'll count ourselves extremely lucky if we get to go to Reno and San Fran :) And for everyone's sake near the Portland area, I hope Joe makes it there this tour. Dunno why it gets skipped more times than not anymore. The promoters need to get BUSY!!
