Golden Room sounds wonderful! Maybe an 'Andalusia' for BSAWW, even though I remember Joe saying he wasn't going to write any more songs like that. Who knows; it's waaaaaaaaayyyy too early for me to be analyzing anything.

WHY HASN'T MY CD SHIPPED?!! It just says "Processing- ships on or before Oct. 5th" I am leaving for Oregon on Sunday, so even if it ships today it won't get here in time. I'll just have to stop at a Best Buy on Tuesday and pick it up.

I shouldn't complain, it sounds like I am one of the few who actually received my presale password like I was supposed to. I am grateful for that.

Grampy I got lots of beer, usually from Belgium. Prosecco wine, Scottish Leader and Jack D whisky. A bottle of vodka of the brand "Heavy Water". Guitars, drums, keyboards, bass. I suggest you bring a couple of sluts in case we get hungry for holiday snacks.

Who brings an egg to court?

And now the yolk's on him

Egg tossed in court gets Ill. man 90 days in jai

WHEATON, Ill. — Tossing an egg in a suburban Chicago courtroom has gotten one man a 90-day jail sentence.

DuPage County Circuit Court Judge Blanche Fawell handed down the sentence Monday against 40-year-old Agim Demiri, who pleaded guilty in August to damaging state property.

The egg narrowly missed Judge Timothy McJoynt when it was thrown in March. Prosecutors say the mess caused $616.78 in damage.

The Daily Herald in Arlington Heights reports that Demiri also was ordered to pay restitution for the cleanup.

Prosecutors say the Naperville man had appeared before McJoynt numerous times before as part of an ongoing child support issue.

Skip we're planning Christmas. We have time on our hands since we're not really occupied by eager waiting for Joe's new pop.

Interview: Joe Satriani - Into the Wormhole

~ premierguitar.com ~October 2010 ~

*an excerpt from the end of the interview~

Any surprises for the upcoming tour?

(JOE)- I think the whole tour is going to be a surprise. As I look at the set list, we’re playing a lot of the new album, and we’re pulling out a lot of songs that either I’ve never played live before, or haven’t been in the set list for years. For those people who’ve seen us live, they’re gonna see a lot of surprises.

* Congrats Cheese & Do The Stu....on the AWESOME seats for RENO!!!!!!!!! :D

I just finished watching all of the podcasts (thus far) and I must say that I'm impressed with the level of diversity in this album. Dream Song sounds amazing, but Pyrrhic Victoria is certainly the attention grabber. The chorus made me think of a hollywood blockbuster (ala Armageddon) where some cataclysmic event had just been averted by some hero type.

Hey, maybe they could pick up that song for the Silver Surfer movie that has been talked about for about 15 years or so. :)

The Golden Room is one of my favorites thus far. It reminds me of "War" from the Extremist album, but I'm sure that's just the phyrgian modes playing with my senses.

Peace Lily - Great interview...thanks for sharing!

I'm curious about this part:

It’s a melodic groove fest that blends the stuff fans really like with elements they’ve wanted to hear more of: High octane guitar playing, a looser rhythm section, and group interaction

It's not a quote, but I wonder if that's the interviewer's own interpretation or if it's based off something Joe said.

And for people wondering about the switch to Marshall:

Part of the problem I had with Peavey is that after the amp initially came out, the changes that I wanted to see made to the amp were way too slow in coming. During the production of the Chickenfoot album we were working on a 50-watt head, and there was just no progress. It was grinding to a halt and I was wondering, “What is going on with you guys? How come there isn’t an engineer working on this stuff for me?”

I suspected that might have been the problem.

Mahavishnu - Where are the AA seats? A bunch of T2Jers are in AA row 3 seats 1 through 9, I think it is. So if you're close to that, keep 'em.
