Skip we're planning Christmas. We have time on our hands since we're not really occupied by eager waiting for Joe's new pop.

We got 'em! Our codes worked right away, too.

Third row, Tracie and I got in right next to each other so our seats are together...woohoo! Third row! :-)

Hey Joe please come to Saskatchewan I can't find anyone to go road trippin' with me to Calgary or Edmonton. The last Edmonton show you did with Mountain was too awesome.

Interview: Joe Satriani - Into the Wormhole

~ premierguitar.com ~October 2010 ~

*an excerpt from the end of the interview~

Any surprises for the upcoming tour?

(JOE)- I think the whole tour is going to be a surprise. As I look at the set list, we’re playing a lot of the new album, and we’re pulling out a lot of songs that either I’ve never played live before, or haven’t been in the set list for years. For those people who’ve seen us live, they’re gonna see a lot of surprises.

* Congrats Cheese & Do The Stu....on the AWESOME seats for RENO!!!!!!!!! :D

I just finished watching all of the podcasts (thus far) and I must say that I'm impressed with the level of diversity in this album. Dream Song sounds amazing, but Pyrrhic Victoria is certainly the attention grabber. The chorus made me think of a hollywood blockbuster (ala Armageddon) where some cataclysmic event had just been averted by some hero type.

Hey, maybe they could pick up that song for the Silver Surfer movie that has been talked about for about 15 years or so. :)

The Golden Room is one of my favorites thus far. It reminds me of "War" from the Extremist album, but I'm sure that's just the phyrgian modes playing with my senses.

Peace Lily - Great interview...thanks for sharing!

I'm curious about this part:

It’s a melodic groove fest that blends the stuff fans really like with elements they’ve wanted to hear more of: High octane guitar playing, a looser rhythm section, and group interaction

It's not a quote, but I wonder if that's the interviewer's own interpretation or if it's based off something Joe said.

And for people wondering about the switch to Marshall:

Part of the problem I had with Peavey is that after the amp initially came out, the changes that I wanted to see made to the amp were way too slow in coming. During the production of the Chickenfoot album we were working on a 50-watt head, and there was just no progress. It was grinding to a halt and I was wondering, “What is going on with you guys? How come there isn’t an engineer working on this stuff for me?”

I suspected that might have been the problem.

Mahavishnu - Where are the AA seats? A bunch of T2Jers are in AA row 3 seats 1 through 9, I think it is. So if you're close to that, keep 'em.

...Austin...

Thanx Phydeaux3...thats a funky tune ...I clicked on the interview link too

love this excerpt ~

(interviewer) Are there any moments you can remember that someone has told you about your music or about you that has shocked you or surprised you in any way?

(Joe) Usually, it’s strippers who will come up to me after a show. I’ve never been to a strip club, so I don’t know what they do in there. But I get that a lot, believe it or not. Strippers come up and tell me how they love my music and they use it in their routines all the time. I think that’s pretty cool (laughs).

LMAO!!!!

@scubadaz - yeah, the sites getting hammered, it's pretty overwhelmed at this point.. just give it some time, should sort itself out once demand goes down a little.

Bored? Wanna shoot up some web pages Asteroids-style? Here you go. Works great.

Tracie- I'll be right there with you guys. Pit AA row 3 seats 8 and 9. Like I told Austin, I would love to have got seats in the BB pit in front of Joe, but I didn't wanna risk waiting for those to come up, and ticketmaster wouldn't do the presale over the phone. Brian must have got pretty lucky picking those up, but it would be nice if they would sit with the rest of us! We've almost got row 3 wiped out!

Ian

*EDIT

Peace- I just saw your post about Joe's 'fresh' set list... certainly made my day!!! Maybe this will be a Dog With Crown and Earring tour... I should have bought a ticket for Napa, too!!

AAAAAAAAAND- MY CD SHIPPED!!!! WEEEEEEEEEEE!!
