I'm sorry to hear about your knee incident , glad to hear the Dr checking up on your knee because a fracture knee damage is no fun at all because just 2 weeks ago, I trip and fell over a cement bench and landed on a green grass ground onto my upper left socket shoulder , this took place at college campus just right after I got out of college class, they transport me to a nearby hospital, then got transferred to john muir hospital couple hours later, after 2 days, they did a surgery on my upper left shoulder, I'm recovering good and most likely won't return to college until January 2011.

Premonition and Dream Song sound really sweet. I really enjoyed the addition of the keyboard playing the melody.

Re-Authored Live in Paris DVD

I received my "re-authored" DVD and call me crazy, but, that was re-authored?! The 5.1 mix is still horrible. It doesn't sound much different than the original. Is there no quality control? Anyone else experience this? Yes, the DVD is in the translucent case with the V2 stamp on it. What's the deal?!

Pip- Thank you for sharing your vids with all of us ...such a cool experience ...every time I watch one I smile so hard I think my face will crack...lol I can't even imagine what it must been like...perhaps a lil surreal? JOES, the best, in more ways than one. :-)

TheHawkGuy- Sorry to read of your injury ...hope you get better soon.

Edit- Zenfish - thanks for posting "Brothers in Arms"...had not listened to it in a long time.....it's a beautiful yet haunting song.

Hello Everyone:

TheHawkGuy: Danny, sorry to hear about the injury.

Distorted Soul & Axeshredderjc: Thanks for the encouragement & praise.

Fort-4-Fitness (Half-Marathon) Result: 1 hour, 24 minutes, and 12 seconds. Fastest half-marathon this year for me and my 2nd fastest so far in my life. 7th place in the Age Division, 26th overall out of thousands & thousands of people.

Distorted Soul: It was a good showcase at Sweetwater. Unfortunately,my friend & I had to leave early because he had band practice, and I needed to get carb-loaded & my rest for that half-marathon.

Axeshredderjc: I did get another medal Joe. Actually, all the finishers receive one. Plus, I was on TV, which made it even sweeter.

BobCliffe -
congrats on the JSX mini-colossal!
My 7 yr old son has one as well. When I've used it I have found it to be very warm sounding with vintage overtones.
I usually leave the power sponge below 50% so we can crank the volume up to get a bit more bite/gain.
Since the mini is dirtier than the standard JSX, you may want to take the power sponge somewhere between 50-100% and not push the volume knob on the amp as high.
If you aren't getting the bass you want out of it, you may also try rolling back on the tone knob on your guitar. I have the Satchurator and Ice 9 but have only had the Ice 9 in front of the mini.

Webmaster / Jon - just picking up that whilst I can view the webisodes etc via here and facebook they're showing up blocked (for the UK at least) on Youtube. Is that something you can take a look at?

Also, is there a seperate Quicktime or other download option as we've had with the previous podcasts? I like to keep them

Thanks

Bob Cliffe...

I have the same amp, as well as a JS2400 and the Saturator. I couldn't quite get that sound either. However, I use a multi-effects unit (Line6 Pod X3 Live) and with a guitar sound that is only a bit distorted, I turned up the Drive on the unit faceboard to about 2-o'clock and that is what made the difference. The mini amp does not have a gain... it's fairly clean, but when I turn the gain up on my pedal board, it made a difference. Check out the tune The Traveler at:

http://profile.ultimate-guitar.com/logicbdj/

Actually, made of the tunes have a Satch sound to them. You may require the ICE-9 pedal for that added drive, beyond the distortion of the Saturator. Something to consider.

Hey Joe, I know right now the focus is on Black Swans and Wormhole Wizards. But as I'm sure you're aware, Santana just released a new CD of covers, anyway I was thinking why not plant a seed for whenever the next G3 gets a chance to spread its wings, why not Sr. Carlos. Could be a fun bill of spiritual and eclectic proportions.
