Dear Joe, your music is really too much beautiful to make it run so fast! Thank you for last night in Milan! Listen to Adrian Belew was great too!
Thanx also for the night in Masada. I know you weren’t, but I was there last August, in a hostel, at the foot of the mountain. We had planned to move at four next morning, walk up to the top and see the dawn from there. That night I couldn’t get a wink of sleep. I got up and started reading, trying to get some, but nothing to do. At two I suddenly realized I had some of your music in my cellular phone. I took it and went upstairs, out on the terrace. Why should I’d fallen asleep? I took a chair, put my feet on the table and earphones on…That was fine! The gentle insomnia, the friendly bad cough, the black and white cat looking for something to eat was rumbling rummaging into the trashcan, hot wind blowing, pale stars dimmed by damp, silence all around, your wonderful clear notes filling the black wide sky and running jumping thru all the Judean desert, from top to top of rocky dunes…I think those stones still remember "The forgotten"! What a great night!...and after having seen the dawn from there, I went up to the top of Masada smoothly and easily by cable car!
Many kisses, Caterina.

Peace - thanks for the link the translation is hilarious.
And yes I had a great weekend, and when my buddies sober up they might even remember that they were interested in coming on a US Satch tour with me next year. They'll probably still call him "Joe Santorini" but that's OK :0).
Glad your son liked GIC, that's cool. Best to sneak up on them with Subtle Satchification isnt' it?
You gotta get a load of this song - it's the opening song to the True Blood series, of which my buddies and I watched the whole first series over the weekend. Every time a new episode started we were all rockin to this tune.

Hi Joe, PLEASE HELP!!!
I know this isn't a direct question regarding your music but it is extremely relevent to all fans who are also dedicated musicians! I heard Flying In A Blue Dream when I was in my early teens and experienced exactly what you described happening to you when you first heard Jimi Hendrix. I immediately knew that I NEEDED to play guitar and for that I truly owe you my deepest gratitude for the rest of my life! As you have always been extremely generous with your advice to guitarists and your music is largely responsible for me embarking on my journey as a musician, I was hoping you could shed some light on how you avoid repetitive strain injuries while forging your physical technique and performing every night while on tour. I have always practised a lot over the last 20 years but have rarely managed to strain anything but I recently developed minor pain in my fretting ring finger tendon practising legato. Medical advice was anti-inflammatories/no playing at all. I have since healed but I need to insure that it doesn't happen again. I teach guitar for a living so if I can't play I can't eat! I have been reading several books on the subject but any personal advice to all of us on how you avoid injury while maintaining your olympic level finger fitness would be appreciated beyond words! Thanks!
Sincerely,
Jason
PS - I can't wait to see your show when you head through Calgary, Alberta in January! Thanks for that in advance!!!!!!!

Hi Joe,
My son and I are coming to your concert in Oakland on 1/13. His guitar teacher Craig Johnson is also coming with us (I think you may know him). My son is 15 and loves your music. He does a pretty good cover of Always With Me, Always With You. Any chance we could come to your soundcheck and he could run through it with your band one time and you could critique it? I know it's a lot to ask and I understand if it is not possible, but I know you love to teach so thought I would ask. My email is hrees99@yahoo.com.
Best Regards
Hugh
