Joe, awesome show last night as usual in Detroit! Can't wait to see what you come up with next!

Maybe less photographers next time, one dude was driving me nuts all through the show standing up! He must have taken 2,000 shots! Anyhow, still loved the show, I really enjoyed the songs you haven't played in awhile!

Are there any REAL JS fans out there or just people chatting with eachother about their personal lives ? Let's hear some feedback on this post from 12/14

OK Funkilus fans, let's have some fun ! I have an idea to show our loyal support to Joe with a tatoo for the die hard Club Joe members. My 16 yr. old son and his friends are obsessed with Joe's music and are allready onboard with my idea. It was awsome to turn them on to Joe when Super Colossal came out and to watch them grow in Joe over the last few years. They like the deep cuts the most. I propose people submit a tatoo design and have a contest to pick a winner. Once a winner is selected, we can print the design and take to our local tatoo parlor. My idea would include the phrase " CLUB JOE " on top, an image of Joe with guitar under that and the phrase " MEMBER SINCE 19?? " on the bottom. Maybe Satch HIMSELF can design the image ! That would be sooooooo cool. I'm not sure how to set this up or even if Joe would approve. Maybe someone can take this idea and run with it. PS : BSAWW is awsome ! TNJOE in Powell Tennessee, US

TN Joe, Damn tattoos? Thats deep...

Ay, I cant wait, 2 more days 'til Joe is in Chicago. And what is this I hear about changin the setlist? It hope it contains Thte Golden Room (and Time Machine, and Down Down Down for that matter lol). He doesnt even need real percussionists up there for TGR; he could just blow the dust off someones mpc2000 and sequence it. Or just use a backing track like he did for the ITLIS in-stores back in '04

I almost never heard him sound better then with those backing tracks or maybe it's 'cause it was so intimate. He even took the glasses off for that one.

My favorite concert of his was An Evening With Joe Satriani tour, all deep cuts. What was yours?

To get a concert like that, we have to catch him in between albums and not on tour with Chicken Foot. I eagerly wait for that day to arise again.

Today is a Super Colossal day...I realized after Watching "Satriani Live" that I have neglected this awesome album....blissing out on " A Cool New Way " right now ......

Skippy - It always helps to wrap prezzies with the appropriate Satch on .... Bet your busy getting stuff ready for the "Joey's" Christmas. Hope you and your's have a blessed one.

Tn Joe - I don't do tattoo's but if I did it def would be a "Joe' one. And as far as being a REAL Joe fan...actually I 'm just here to STALK the other fans....... bwahahaha ;-)

Anyway good luck with your idea ..its a good one.

' *Tikimon- Probably sounds better 'cause its got double "Joe Power" now.... ( or would that be triple ?) Lol !

Hey Joe, I am so excited about your Portland, OR show! I bought tickets to your show as an anniversary gift for my boyfriend. He is your biggest fan; he actually taught himself how to play guitar listening and watching videos of you (he's an amazing guitarist becasue of you). We will be at the concert and I was lucky enough to win seats at area 101, the Bing lounge. We would love to meet you, but I hope we get a change to at least shake your hand! See ya in January!

I'm 46 and only have 2 tattos. Got the last one probably 20 yrs. ago. Maybe it's a midlife crisis, but if I do get another one it's gonna be of JS. His music just makes me feel soooo good in a way no other music has ever done. His music taps deep into the soul and never gets old no matter how much or how long you have been a fan. I like to share that with people who never heard of JS. Just recently sent some JS cd's to our hero's in Afganistan in a Christmas care package. I do understand that a " club Joe " tattoo would " seem " like a club/gang thing. Believe me, I'm anti-gang. Born & raised in Philly. If people don't like the idea, that's cool. To each his/her own ! Could not afford to see Joe this time around in Atlanta or Cincinnati. My son and friend really wanted to go. We agreed to set up a JS roadtrip savings for next time he tours. Been in the Knoxville area for 5 yrs. and have to travel to Atlanta or Cincinnatti to catch a show. Did get to see the PSATMOR show last year in Atlanta and it was awsome !!!!

Just watching the Johnny Cash movie on Film4, he started poor & very shy on stage, became rich & able to support wife & children better - got tempted with lots of other girls..& drugs.

Sad ;-(

So pleased Joe has his wonderful family to keep him level headed, (well he's such a good guy anyway), & well, ya all know what I'm getting at, I'm not so good at words! x

TN Joe, I'm just bustin' yer wienie. I have a bunch of tats, and one is the words I Believe written above an angel. I got the angel first, then after a show I had Joe write I Believe on top of it so I could get it inked. Well, as some of us know, Joe's handwriting isn't the best. lmao!! It actually pretty much wore off overnight anyways, so I picked out a font I liked and had it put there later that week. What you need to know is that as much as you love Joe's music, the man behind the music is is one of the most incredible guys you could ever have the pleasure to meet (and some day I hope you do). He's the most optimistic person out there, he's humble, caring, has a huge heart, and is a feckin genius when it comes to knowing everything about music - pretty much all around the best guy in rock & roll - hands down. He's just...the best.

Sorry you & yer peeps didn't get to see Joe this time around. Check youtube for some vids from this tour. There's some killer vids from Dublin! Ahhhh, that's the goose bump shit right there :-)

So, 46 and from Philly. I'm 46 and an hour from Philly. lol! My hubs and I are huge fans. Welcome to T2J!

Donkey, I'ma save that for your signature.

I represent that mid-west straight from The Chi, North Pole baby (trying to sound as cool as Michelle. I guess it looses it's effect when one is halfway serious about it =p)

TNjoe or anyone who is interersted...

I suck at the link thingy but... http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn227/achoo822/1030102051.jpg

But instead of that box she is crouching on I want them to turn it into an amp (heven't decided which one, perhaps a Mesa) and add a guitar standing next to her. Perhaps I'll get a js1200 on the right.

That would make a pretty nifty tattoo.

Michelle, I was trying to fix it but didnt pan out as I had hoped.

Anyone that wants to check it out will just have to copy and paste. I know that makes people less interested but trust me it's a cool tattoo. "Aw man I have to copy and paste? Booooo!!!" Yes people....

Detroit Fillmore 12/17. Have been fan since first album. I believe the Fillmore is “potentially” a great venue b/c of its small size. However, the evening was poorly planned/managed. Assuming the prospective of gaining new fans while maintaining older loyal fans; I might have run the show a bit tighter. The newer fans are younger and looking for a crisp/clean organized product they identify through their most important media source, internet. The huge talent and range of JS has the potential to capture this audience. The product begins with media presentation and the website is good and offers the techy younger crowd an avenue to search and learn more about JS. Once curiosity is triggered they might attend a concert which is key to success for musicians today. The younger fans aren’t buying cd’s, their downloading--free. This is where JS holds potential for great revenue in live performance. Once they buy the ticket and attend they are the ones most likely to spend more money or attend another show and buy JS stuff-- advertising!! So, JS needs to entertain from the minute they walk through the door. Catch their eye with a huge Satch poster at the entrance or music playing. Whatever it takes to engage them from the very beginning. Once seated they’re looking for stage presence; clean, colorful, shapes, deep contrast and instruments--- something to catch their eye and look for the phenom they’ve discovered that no one else knows about. For the Detroit show the staff wasn’t even wearing JS shirts. On arrival, only the billboard listing outside said JS, nothing else to feed my brain for what it wanted to see and hear. Even the “memorabilia” table was shabby and reminded me of a second rate scam outfit. This is a potential revenue generator and for sure, young people wearing JS shirts triggers new fans. But again, nothing to tempt the appetite to dig in and engage the upcoming performance. If you can engage them before a note of music is played the music will sound that much better and hook the potential fan—the customer, the food on the JS family dinner table. So, I was escorted to my seat, (front row box) by a nice staff member—probably the classiest part of the show (outside of the guit playing). Next, the stage appearance. The stage was cluttered and colorless (outside of the lights which themselves poor). There is a difference b/t cluttered and drab and “small/quaint” venue. The former a lack of creativity, the latter a potential barn burner. The warm up band, OMG, I had to check my ticket to see if I was in the right place. JS, unless offering a opener, should by virtue of his years on stage do a solo show with perhaps an intermission. Much like Rush. I took my daughter, 12 y.o., a musician, and a first timer at a JS concert. She looked at me concerned. I think worried that the whole show might be like the opener. I reassured her. However, no disrespect intended to the opening act. They worked hard and gave it their best. On to the main act. As I recollect, they ran out to positions, no drama, no JS chord. The rhythm guitarist’s instrument was the first guitar I saw. Not well staged or managed. Billed as an ultimate guitarist, the opening should bring him in, if not by site, by sound, organized and not drowned out by poorly managed lighting and support sound. Another quirk was the poor overlit backlighting non-high def. Even the stage equipment was overbearing. Joe? Well, you are an awesome performer and artist with brilliant stage presence!! A good set list with a mix of the old stuff and new. The old stuff also had refreshing updates. Clearly the problem doesn’t lie with JS, but management. It was as if they threw together a tour for the new release put in a cheap opening act and ran on the road to sell the album. An updated management approach is needed to keep the diehard fans, like me, bring in a new generation of “Alien Surfers”. Sincerely, Michael M.
