Mahavishnu, class act! Way to be!

PL, That's what it's all about after all. Paying it forward. The best thing about having time with Joe is that sometimes you get to share the goodies :-) Very cool of Brian.

Al, the luni list is getting longer..

Thanks for the birthday wishes for my boy!

Civ, how ya been? I'm good. Both kids in college now. It's a whole new world up in here. lol! Loving the new cd. Lots of good music released over the last few weeks. Disturbed, Godsmack, Sully Erna, Satch, and the Bombastic Meatbats on the 19th... absolutely loving it all!

BadNomad, ha! Not a day over 25...in my head. The rest of me didn't get that memo. lol!

Oh wait.... I do believe Joe's boy ZZ just had a birthday? HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZZ!!

Great news. My daughter has been invited by the Arkansas Ambassadors to participate in a European concert tour. This is quite an honor . The membership is by invitation only. Students from around the state are chosen by their band and choir directors. The students do not know they have been nominated until they recieve a letter from the staff of directors. Students are evaluated based on charachter, maturity and musicianship. The Ambassadors will tour with a choir and concert band and will perform several concerts at famous venues throughout Europe. The itenerary includes stops in England, France, Switzerland,Liechtenstein, Austria, Italy and Germany. Concerts will be performed at the Victoria Embankment and John Wesley's Chapel in London, The Luxembourg Gardens and St Severin's church in Paris, Crans Montana in Switzerland, Olympic Park in Seefeld Austria and the town Square in Rothenburg, Germany. The school has started fund raisers to send the six students. Now it's up to me to make sure me or her mother can go. So I have extra work to do between now and Nov. 14 which is the deadline for parent participants. I am so exited and proud of her and the others who will make the trip. So I guess for me this is as exiting as an athletic minded parent to be chosen for a state all star team. I only wish that my school would have had a music program when I was her age. I am stoked to say the least. Hope all is well. I trust all are enjoying the new Satch record. I keep up with most of you on FB when possible. Best wishes all.

Joe, Are you using Drop D tuning on 'WORMHOLE WIZARDS'?

Your such a remarkable inspiration, having fun trying my hardest to play to your new tunes. I am determined to learn some of your songs, but I need lessons still.

Someone knocked my door last night. I opened. They were Black Swans followed by Wormhole Wizards. I let them in and offered place in my hi-fi. We are getting to know each other and having good conversations. It seems a lot of things were always exist around in the time space continuum but I just was not aware of them as they were not articulated in any tangible form. Now they all show up through Joe’s playing. Amazing and most important it certainly leaves footprint in my soul. Cannot say more – what is a point to discuss about brushes, paints or colors when the picture so much resonates with feelings…

Woke up this morning with Wind In The Trees playing in my head....love that song, finding it hard to pick just one favorite off the new album.

It's been fun in the past to be at the last show of a tour, the energy coming from the band is a bit different than it is mid-tour or a few shows to go...I've always preferred that last-show-feeling...but ya know...now we've been to the "first" show of the tour and it's a whole new level of energy and vibe! So much fun to feel that coming from the stage, the guys and especially Joe are so pumped to perform and get this thing going!!

I forgot to mention that, with the exception of Joe using his signature acoustic for the intro to Andalusia, he used his 2400 guitars exclusively for the entire show. The white one, and a kind of red-orangey one. It's not candy-apple red like the 1200, definitely has a more orange hue to it, esp in the stage lights. Chris is in love with the white one so now has designs to some day get a white 2400, and the CA red 1200 :) I just tell him...."work, Work, WORK!!"

Mike, sorry about your dad, he's found peace at last and I hope you find it as well now. Hugs.

Burly, awesome news for your daughter, and this will be the trip of a lifetime for her!! Congrats to you all!!

Civgeek....I would so love to add Portland into our Wormhole tour schedule, but that show is 2 days before Oakland and I've got peeps flying into San Fran ahead of time...so hafta be down there instead. We'll miss hanging with all the Portland gang for sure....wish the show was just a coupla days earlier. Hope you have....wait....what am I saying...I *KNOW* yer gonna have a fantastic time!!!

Guitarman77897....the beanies for sale are not like what Joe wears, he wears bucket hats. Beanies are knitted and fit close to the head. They are all black, with Joe's name and I think Wormhole tour both embroidered on the front and back...I can't remember exactly what it says cuz Chris snatched it right up and stuffed it in his pocket so he wouldn't lose it at the show, lol!! But they are cool! No posters at the Napa show, but I would bet money that by the time the tour really gets going there's going to be many more BSAWW goodies for sale. I just don't think they had time to pull a lot together for this show.

As to Joe's singing on BBM, he does a great job, doesn't seem scared to put some volume behind his voice and just lets it rip along with the song. It was a GREAT way to end the show...Summer Song ends the main set and then Joe comes back for 2 encore songs. Crowd Chant and BBM finally got the crowd to their feet!

Peace, glad you checked in, that's all the lil Satchlings home now, safe and sound :)) Brian tole me at the show what he was planning to do for you, I thought it was incredibly kind and thoughtful of him but he and Debbie just got it like dat, LOL!! Glad they found you before you all scattered outta Napa :)

Thanks for the reminder chelle...HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZZ!!

Oh, and with that ZZ podcast episode, NOW do u see why the Bubba teeth??? HMMMMMMMM????? fer goo'ness sakes.....

elpp....sorry, the official tour t-shirt just says Dallas, Austin, and Houston, along with Mexico City at the very end. So hopefully you can make one of those shows in Texas, you shouldn't miss this if you can manage!!

Picture the BSAWW album cover shot of Joe on a black tee...he's kinda outlined in a soft grey skinny line for contrast against the black shirt....make it big and there you go, that's the front of the t-shirt. The back is just all the tour locations written in white.
