From one of my Facebook pages:

Being Motivationally Inappropriate MUSICWIRE: Coldplay breaks up, citing artistic differences from U2 - "U2 keeps moving in a direction we just don't enjoy," Cited, Chris Martin, lead singer for Coldplay, "Our borrowed artistic vision is just becoming... well we don't want to become an actual cover band, now do we?"

LMAO!!

Woke up this morning with Wind In The Trees playing in my head....love that song, finding it hard to pick just one favorite off the new album.
Cheese, I love that song too. I would love to hear it live. Galen should play the acoustic armonics while Joe is soloing. Then the three last minutes of Mike`s lovely piano solo. Hmmm it's dificult to confirm it's my fav of the album, there are so many good ones ! Wormhole Wizards is so different to Wind in The Trees, and so different to Pyrrhic Victoria, and all of them are so good ! God is crying is also growing inside me. Premonition and Light Years Away have so killer riffs ! I keep listening to all of them in the car, in the ipod, in the computer, in my Hi-Fi, on, and on, and on...

Premonition is prob my fav, it reminds me of some of the older classic kinda stuff, or even something off CP, nice to see the setlist, pretty cool song choice, cept maybe for 1 certain song

What's used for the melody in "Wind in the Trees"? is it a zvex ringtone? ...had a chance to mess around with one once, they're pretty nifty contraptions, doubt i'll have much use for it in my own setup, but some cool sounds

Blue_Moon - You're not talking about the AutoTune effect, are you? That's all over Joe's guitar on the song...

Just got my Montreal ticket! *phew*
(I was ascared it mighta sold out before I could scrape up the $$)

That autotune thing is really, really interesting. Sounds the likes of which I've never ever heard before. Wonder if you hoooked it up to the Framtone if it would be a good or a bad thing?

Tracie thanks for all and pics.

Blue Moon, DTS etc
noticed the Wind in the trees melody sound too. Thought of wah+pog but now I seem to remember Joe mentioning autotune. Must check interview. I like everything about that track.

Anybody analysed Joe's board on T's pics yet?

1st Time in years there's some Big Hair in Joe's band.

Joe mentioned the use of AutoTune on Wind In The Trees in the MusicRadar preview of the album. I'd love to hear that song live, but I don't know enough about the effect in a concert setting...is it something Joe can easily add to his touring rig?

Auto-Tune is a plugin of course so somewhat hard to use live. Have to use laptop or ProTools Venue hardware. But I just found you can use some rack hardware too. Antares Vocal Processor. May be a bit expensive to buy/bring on tour for just one song, although among many's favorites. But it can easily be added to touring rack. Let's keep hoping for Wind In The Trees live. For us musicians/gearfreaks who like new tonal horizons!

Huge National Geographic book Britain & Ireland arrived yesterday. Gonna be great reading before bed. I'm so tired of the TV.....I'm not interested in most of what's on. PBS and HGTV are OK.

It's afternoon and I'm still hanging about the house. I can't even look at meself in the mirror.......tough times. Although, nice drop in visit by neighbors black and white cat yesterday morning. We had a lovely chat and affectionate exchange. Loud purr and please pet me and rub behind my ears posture.....certain cats are so friendly and sweetie!

It's Alan McKenna's fault for living so close to the Isle of Man that has a major cat colony of tail-less kitties and the outgoing/friendly Irish horse-and-dog-friendly cats. They are a special breed! Ya know, my Dad (Joe) told me that every black cat was special because they are miniature pathers! He left this earth in January 1994 and I still miss him. He so loved cats because of his upbringing in New York State and North Carolina--lots of cats around his neighborhoods.

I feel like I'm being hit over the head with a rubber mallet--stupid headache! I wish all headaches would cease to exist.

Hello Fritz from Amsterdam--Thanks for thinking about me ahead of my receiving BSAWW!

Off to San Joaquin Valley tomorrow to see me Mom, San Fran sister and maybe the C family and my younger sister.

Happy Birthday to all the October B-Day ppls!

Found on youtube: Dream Song...love how Joe poses and smiles for the guy who runs up with his camera at the beginning of the song :)

Also, by the same person, Light Years Away

and for the gear heads in the audience, more on Joe's pedal board here

What a great show it was, I'm sitting here watching vids of it and re-living it that way...but already missing Joe and the guys and wishing January would hurry up, lol!!

Austin, we're still waiting for your review of the show, and also of the in-store happenings....u out there?

I'm shocked Surfing isn't on the setlist. I would much rather see Surfing with the Alien than Ice 9 or Satch Boogie.

and after all the coldplay crap, he should play If I Could Fly.

Tracie, I was hoping Joe would create his signature hat and sell it at concerts, that would be so cool.

great pics too. Joe went a little more casual than his usual black on black. But he has the sexiest pedalboard I've seen since THIS one.

LOL!! Just got back from dinner at my parent's house...took them a bag of Jelly Belly BellyFlops of course...and had to show them the "recipes" and flavors, etc...then had to pick through the beans to take out the one I knew neither of them would like, the Chili Mango flavor. I tried one earlier today and gagged...so I knew they wouldn't like that flavor. My dad got brave and tried one...at first he was fine and then it HIT....I had to run get him water, he was gagging, coughing...him no like chili mango, lol!! We threw them allllllll out, and I tole my lil mum to avoid the red beans with yellow splotches...very cinnamon, she can't take that. But now all the rest are SAFE!!

Told them all about our trip, the factory tour, the concert, meeting up with Joe, the concert, the weather, the concert, how pretty a drive it was, the concert.....my dad finally said..."Sooooo, you're sure you like this guy's music huh? Think yer gonna like it for much longer?" LMAO!!! They are amazed at their previously timid daughter doing all this traveling with my son, driving and flying all over the place to see shows. My mom guesses that, "That Mr. Joe Satoreeni guy must be alright if you like him so much, but I just don't really get it."

And now that my dad can really hear great I'm gonna hafta play him some Joe-tunes so he can see why we love our Joe so much...my mum is a lost cause, but she's happy if I'm happy. When she comes over tomorrow for our usual Sunday time together, she "gets" to see all my photos from the trip, woo woo, LOL!

:D I love them so, LOL!!
