Ahh- Finally back from Oregon. What an exhausting trip, and I have to turn around and drive back on Thursday, ugh!

On the plus side, when I got back the other day I had several boxes waiting for me on the doorstep...
My PSATMOR autographed CD, two autographed BSAWW CD's, a deluxe edition of PSATMOR, and Paul Gilbert's Fuzz Universe.

I was surprised to find that the Deluxe PSATMOR I ordered is a Malaysian import. It wasn't listed as such on the website when I ordered it, so I'm not sure whether I want to keep it or send it back. I suppose there may not be any U.S. versions of that album left.
If that wasn't bad enough, one of my two autographed BSAWW inserts got mangled up inside the box when the packer folded it shut, so that one has kind of lost its luster. I may have to give Sony a call today and see if there's any way I can get a replacement.

And, finally- to complete my 'collection'; ITLIS? arrived safe and sound from Japan this morning. Unfortunately, I don't want to remove the Obi Strip, so I'll just have to stick with the low-quality version of DWCAE I have now.

Scubadaz-Funny you should mention Avenida Revolucion. I picked up the Chickenfoot tab book last week and started messing around with that song this morning.

Austin---Yes, I have a pic that the coordinator from Best Buy took of me at the table there with him, I am in the process of trying to get all my pix from my cell phone downloaded to my computer rite now. The usb chord isn't working though for some reason, gotta call them after awhile. As soon as I get it done, I'll try my best to post it here. And maaaayybeeee my pic with him from the Indio Fantasy Springs Casino Chicken Foot gig. I say maybe becuz I just hate how "I" came out in it. Look terrible.......ayways- so I am hesitant lol. Yeah---badly promoted LA Signing gig or something for sure... Im glad Im not the only one who went who feels that way. Although, when I got there (about 2hours before it started) I definetely saw a table with all of the 'Swan' cds layed out and the Guitar World Mag (Joe on cover with dvd lesson-GREAT great interview!! GET IT IN DEC!) for him to sign as well. And I believe there was a sign saying "meet Joe Satriani" type thing. It was right in the front as you walked in. Hmmmm.... And that's really sad about that experience that fan had in SF signing. Dang. LA signing was good. Nice people, coordinator was really cool too. Was he the BB coordinator or Joe's crew guy?

Turbo 236----------------I want that Deluxe PSATMOR cd! You got it on here, in the store of this website?? I must have i love that album!

Also---yeah, I thought about you as I was in line. I asked the guy next to me if he posted here hoping he was you! But he wasn't. Maybe next time. Are you going to the LA Orpheum gig in Jan.?

Also----------Ive got to try real hard not to be so nevous and giddy when I meet him again in Jan....I get that way EVERY SINGLE time I meet a famous musician I admire. I just hate it. I can barely speak, lol, its pretty funnny. But later it sucks because I begin to relize all that i forgot to say :( And wished I had mentioned :( But by his happy and suprised reaciton to me (he remembered where he had seen me before :)) it has soothed over those other regretful feelings. I am so touched by his excited reaction for placing my face with where I met him before in Indio. I was just so touching to me, and it has warmed my heart so much!! It was how he said what he said that has made me so warm inside!

This talk to Joe Section is cool but the more I visit here the more I wish it was set up like a regular message board where different subjects were separated into different threads. For example we could have a thread for people with their bonus track problems and another for people to talk about the album and yet another for show reviews and whatnot. it would be a little more organized and easier for users to keep track of what is going on. Does anyone else feel this way ?

I do have a ticket for that L.A show, but i wasn't there last week im afraid

I hope it doesn't change, forums are a bit dead and boring, and im sure ".coms" are down visitors too with the new facebook/twitter taking over the world jazz, i think if this forum changed it woulnd't be have as popular or fun, it prob is a bit confusing to follow sometimes but its fine really

I agree, I like the board just like this. To me, it's all the different sections of a message board that tend to stress me out, personally. I was just thinking about the way this board is today, thinking, it's amazing how un-strained I feel to not have to check out different subjects within different various threads. This way, I can read everything that's going on in one shot. No click here, then click there to a different forum. I hope it Doesn't change either. Ever. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Alan--- Cool, maybe can meet up somewhere in the duration of the show? Did you get Club joe? If not, would like to meet ya and others after or something. Would be fun even if it's just for a little while :) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CAN SOMEONE HELP ME: What is Joe tuned to on "The Golden Room"?

Pip55-----so envious :) How much practice, patience, mental and motor skills it must take to be able to play like that. I long to be that good someday. But I feel so hampered. Need lessons desperately, no money for them. I had lessons when i first started, learned just the basics then had to stop taking them because of, you guessed it, lack of money. And no friends etc.....to help me out since. I just feel I really need alot of help. And no way to get it. It is the worst thing to be messing around with the guitar for as long as I have, and to still NOT be consistent and good. Makes me want to consistenly say fuck it, and give up most days. But I got re-inspired by bringing Joe back into my life, and thanking God for it. THANK YOU JOE................ Any guitarists words of encouragement is gladly welcome. thanks, Suzi

Peace - thanks. I don't know what's got into me at the moment but it's just all coming out on the fretboard lol. Shame I didnt make Napa, would have been cool to hang out. Was it your first Joe show?

Rhythmsteady - I can't say my practice routine is good of late... for which Joe will shoot me. Just set little goals. I had little more than a 30 minute window yesterday so figured I'd learn a song & record it, hence the video. Just dont give up, keep plugging away. Joe inspires me too - maybe go check some of his online lessons? There are lots of amazing video (and other) resources online, all free, so try that maybe - and of course plenty of players on the board so ask away

Hey Joe- Love the new album. The Golden room and wormhole wizards are my favorite. The groove in wormhole just sticks in my head- love the drums and keyboard solo- nice departure. QUESTION: I ordered your album online with the ticket promo and I thought the CD was supposed to be autographed- please inform if you can. Otherwise I will bring it with me when I see you in Texas- will try to catch you backstage. Keep on rocking- you are the best.

Hi from Oz Joe,(tropical Newcastle to be exact).Picked up the new album Saturday and loved it (as always). An instant favourite was "The Golden Room" actually.Really enjoy your more "Eastern sound" ala " Moroccan Sunset".Mike Keneally's keyboard work is pretty special too, adds a new colour to your arrangements, really lovely.Hope you come down this way again soon, saw you in 1990 on the Blue Dream tour and haven't been able to get a ticket since.(No I'm not after a freebie)lol.20 years is leaving it a bit too long.Cheers.

Hey Joe! I am really diggin your new stuff, love the dynamics. I 'll be at your gig in Montreal on the 12th of December. I would like to mention to you that I have a special initiative going to help the people of Haiti rebuild their home. I build custom guitars and hold lotteries for them on my web site www.gunnercustomguitars.com . All the proceeds will go to the Red Cross for the Haitian relief fund, aside from guitar building costs. Right now I am trying to get various companies to donate guitar parts, pick ups and electronics to the cause and have their banners up with honourable mention on my site. I know and understand that your an incredibly busy man but I also believe you to be a conscious individual of the terrible things that happen around us. I just want to try and make a difference out there. Many people talk the talk but when it comes time to walk, you know the rest. Setting an example for my son is important to me, I want him to lean from this undertaking that the feeling of helping and giving last a life time and can be hopefully contagious. If your up to it Joe, I have a request. I would like to video interview you for my website and if you would help me to promote my initiative . It would be a blast. Now, I don't know what your PR people would say to it but I would like to think that it would be up to you. Well, the ball is in your court Joe. You can contact me at tommigunn@gunnercustomguitars.com if you want to get a hold of me. Thanks for reading Joe and I appreciate your time. See you December 12th, Rock and Roll Joe!! Cheers Mate!!

Sincerely Tommi Gunn

Rhythmsteady- I ordered the Deluxe Edition (CD+ DVD) of PSATMOR here. Like I said earlier, they sent me the Malaysian version, so it has the import stickers on the front and back inserts. That information wasn't noted on the product description, and right now it says it's backordered, but should ship in 3-10 days.

If you are looking for the autographed version of the regular album, I picked that up at newburycomics. They said stock was running low last week, so there may not be any listed there now.
