Hola all! down here in Cabo for Sammy's b-day bash. show got cancelled last night cause Sammy's sick. rumors are he may not make it tonight too! so i'm thinking maybe Joe could stop in and take Sammy's place. just read that he was singing at the napa show so hell why not.

I'm pretty sure i'm the only one down here blastin the Satchman. picked up the new cd before we came down. Joe the cd is f*in awesome! can't believe some of the effects, just incredible! it's like you just keep getting more and more out of this world, like i don't know, like are you even human? just totally awesome!!

while waiting in line, on the streets of cabo the other night at about 3:30 in the a.m. i went back to the hotel to get the laptop, came back and played vids from the Chickenfoot tour and had the whole place rocking to CF at Sammy's b-day bash!! hey had to represent! got to hang out and chat with Joe's guitar tech from CF after he recognized us from the premier of Sammy's new dvd "go there once be there twice". yeah suddenly we're like movie stars lmao! kinda long story but we came down here cause Sammy's dvd producer said we had to come cause we were the featured Redheads in the film. we actually had a little spot about two minutes long and our names were up on screen with peeps like slash, alice cooper and too many to list. he even thanked US for our footage in front of the whole place. what a strange trip it's been and we aint done yet!

catch ya all when we get back to little ol Rhode Island [now made famous] lol!!! enjoy all the upcoming shows and can't wait to go through all the vids you guys are posting!! Joe rocks while we roll!!!!!!

To the folks complaining on here about those of us complaining about the bonus tracks, I think you misunderstand the reason for our frustration. It's not about having to pay extra for the two songs, it's about not being able to get them at all! It seems that if you're a fan who lives in any country in the world other than the US, you're not allowed to buy them. There is no deluxe CD version outside of the US, and there's no way for non-US residents (that I'm aware of) to download the extra tracks at additional cost. I have gladly paid extra for bonus tracks in the past for Joe and Chickenfoot - cost is not an issue. It's being deprived of them in the first place! This is not Joe's fault, of course, but the record company. Considering how many fans Joe has around the globe, limiting the bonus songs to one country seems truly bizarre. Do they not want our money, or something?! Seriously, Sony, if you don't want to give us foreigners a limited edition CD, at least put the tracks on iTunes where we can all download them easily. I'm dying to get the new record, but I won't buy it until I know for sure that I'm not going to have to buy it twice to get these songs...

CIV, PIP, and COSMIC APE--------------- Civ and Pip thank you for your words. Yeah,,dvd and on line lessons, I have a Joe lesson dvd taken from the upcoming 'Guitar World' magazine---December issue. I havn't been able to pop it in yet, not till Thursday, I cant wait. Going crazy here with work and then HOT southern California weather making it extrememly uncomfrotable to plug in which just creates more heat until I cant stand it......absolutely sucks.....small room that gets hot very quickly...Now if you could DIRECT me to any OTHER Joe lessons that would be great! :) Are they here on the website? I know there are some on youtube, ive watched a few but just havn't been able to apply....THAT is going to all change this weekend. I hope *grimace* I have made alot of improvements, MUCH cleaner, and REALLY working my fingers and bending the strings WHAT an accomplishment THAT is!!!! Im ripe for lead playing, and I really do believe that I have alot of potential, but you see.....my problem is this: Not understanding how it all comes together. And ALSO-----TUNING is a big issue. I DO have a good ear, I just dont understand how to tune if you tell me say, a song starts in Em, now tune to it.....and DROP D tuning ive been dying to know how.

CIV----------Yeah, I do know about the difference in upstrokes and downstrokes sound. Upstrokes does sound nicer. I agree. I just need one on one lessons with somebody. Understanding how melody and chords come together, and with Tuning. I CAN hear a single note, and then usually tune to that. I have a really good ear. BUT......if it's a songs begins with a chord strum---well, then I just dont get it. How to tune to it. I say im gonna quit----but that's all nonsense. I will NEVER quit. Just me being "too" hard on myself. The hampering effects that I am going thru (for years) has really done a number on me. Well, Thanks again for your encouragements!!! COSMIC APE-------------------It was just thinking Drop D with 'Wormhole Wizards" because It sounded kinda low in tone, i dunno, it doesnt sound so low in tone anymore now that i hear it more. Perhaps I was a little tipsy that night. Lol... What key (tuning) is "THE GOLDEN ROOM" in???.....Im gonna use Joe's Podcast for that, GREAT footage of what chords he's playing and what fret's he's bending at. LOOOOOOOOVE THAT TONE!!!!!!! THAT SONG IS WICKED AWESOME! !!!!!!!!!!!! Tone, Compostition, Drums, bass everything. That song is killer. I want to hear it badly on this tour....... Please Joe!!!!!! ;))

Chadders, dunno what to tell you about Fanfire, cuz I have no problem entering credit card info when I try...I wonder if there's a customer service ph # listed somewhere, u might try calling them if so to do your order directly...

As to the video camera, it's just a basic lil Flip video recorder. I'm amazed at how well it does for such a small lil thing, lol! about the size of a cell phone and can record 2 solid hours of video!! I love it!!

Pyrrhic Victoria in Napa here The person who put this up has several vids of that night, he was over to the left of the stage, I saw him there and was amazed that security never told him to stop taking video...but I'm glad they didn't, I get to watch awesome vids from that night, lol!!

I love that song, it's a wild ride....u start soaring when the chorus comes in, thinking Joe is taking you one place...then it all changes to something a lil more sinister, if that's the right word, or foreboding...love the change-up in it. Hmmm...I could prolly say "I love that song" about 12 more times for all 13 songs, LOL!

Don 1963, hope you and your wife have a freakin good time in Cabo, but sorry to hear Sammy is too sick to be there, that blows fer him and all the fans :( Sounds like you're having fun anyway!

Made for Mahavishnu Deb, that's my job and I'm stickin to it, lol! We gotta start a campaign to get pip here for Oakland and Reno...shall we chant? HEY....are you and Brian up fer a lil trip to Oz when Joe tours there next? Bet I can tempt ya into going.....nudge, nudge.....

Chelle, we reheeeally need a report on Wavey after the Disturbed show....take his pulse, hold a mirror up to his nose, make sure he's still breavin....if I wuz there I'd so go with you!! We'd be concert b*tches together, LOL!!

It's dark and cold here, I'm fer bed....nats :)

Michelle- That will be an experience for your hubs for sure...can't get much farther apart in sound than that...lol But its cool that he'll go with you . My honey is not a huge Satch fan but I will give him big points for driving me over 600 mi. to NAPA & back again, just so I could go see JOE. He did it for me...just 'cause he loves me, so that is pretty special .

Turbo- Yes ...I bought Club Joe for PORTLAND !!!!! Can't wait, I ready for another concert now....

Kind of in a mood tonight..saw my Mom & Dad this afternoon. Dads hanging in there but his cancer has spread from his arm into new tumors on his chest. The radiation he had this summer kept the cancer in check for a bit but did not kill it as we had hoped.....

Cheese - LURV the way you keep hinting at coming to Oz - we got to party girl!!!!! Would love to see you and Chrispy and any other T2Jers come over. Me, I have a firm goal to come over to see Joe in 2011, I just need some goddam notice and I can plan! :-D

scubadaz - So you're a Driving At Night kinda guy too, huh? Do you do long haul or just short trip/day driving? I drive a city bus on the "vampire shift" (by choice, actually) so I'm out at 8:00-ish pm until 4:30 in the morning... JUST the way I like it! After midnight there's almost no people.. no traffic... I'm the king of the road! LOL! Plus, I get to sleep all day in a nice quiet house, no Wife & kids.. AND I get to watch the sun come up almost every day, no chemicals required! ;0)

Here's a pic of me on the job.
(On Halloween, of course!)

Damn! I just realized that I forgot to add my name to the "attending" list for Montréal... my head would surely explode if I won the meet'n'greet thing.. that would be a dream come true. I can hope...

Show of hands! How many other T2J'ers attending Montréal?

smooches,
» Phy³

I know that this is an unusual post. I know of no other way of asking you this question. I am a baptist preacher and I am also a long time musician. And last night I was thinking of all the people that I've listened to through the years. And I wander how many people have ever enquired as to where you will spend eternity. Odd I know. But a very serious question indeed. I am not trying to be weird by no means. But I wonder how many of the bigger than life musicians know that that is the most important decision they will ever make. If possible I would love to chat with you about this. If not I will gracefully bow out of this forum.

Sincerely Bro Blue

Joe!

That better be heavy sarcasm on Twitter about them rip-off rappers! :p

Unless of course you permitted them to do this.

I am a master in law and if they didn't have permission for this, i tell you, you have a case here.

Gr!

PS I totally don't think they are 'kind of cool' either way :p
