Hi PIp! can't wait to see Surfin again - at work now so will catch up at home tonight ;-)

Another great review here ...As the show progressed, it dawned on me that Satriani, amongst all of the technical prowess that he is known for, has the ability to inject emotion into his music. There is far more than random noodling occurring here, this guy is not just rattling off scale after scale at warp factor 10, as some see it.

It's only just dawned on him that Joe has emotion?? That aside - it's a great review!

Oddly enough, it's supposed to be 73 degrees here in PA today. :-)

almost forgot - Brian, hope yer feeling better soon!

I know I forgot a bunch of stuff this week, so if yer sick- get well, if yer down- get up, if you did something spectacular- congrats, if yer driving and texting - you'd feel really stupid if you hurt or killed someone over an OMG text - STOP IT, if you just got a hair cut - you look amazing, lost/gained 2 lbs - life goes on, just saw the best band and Mr Joe Satriani - hi 5!!

Well, that covers a bit...

Now let's all have an almazing day!

Hey Joe - Here are 3 news articles about my site that just came out in the past 24 hours that reference Chickenfoot (80 Rare and Unreleased songs from VH and "The Van Halen Circle" including Chickenfoot, Sammy Hagar, etc.)

http://www.musicradar.com/news/guitars/van-halen-over-75-rare-unreleased-tracks-now-online-287727?cpn=RSS&source=MRARTNEWS

http://magazine.dv247.com/2010/10/25/rare-van-halen-tracks-released/

http://www.antimusic.com/news/10/oct/25Over_75_Rare_Van_Halen_Songs_Now_Online.shtml

As you know there are 2 of these videos at the Chickenfoot Fan Videos page - 1 of the 3 featured is my "Down The Drain" vid and one of the most recent added is my "Going Down" vid from the first Chickenfoot appearance, before album production. "Mr. Fantasy" I may also put a vid together for. Here's my 'Foot page http://ChrisGossett.com/CHICKENFOOT.htm .

Neil Zlozower has given me written permission to use his Van Halen photos. I need to ask his *(or yours? (:}) ?) permission to use the Chickenfoot photos.

So I write you to let you know of the extra exposure I think you'll get out of it, I also write to ask permission to use photos of the Foot...

Oh, don't forget my concept to think about; my suggestions for your next Foot album and the first video.... Call it "Spontaneous", or "Spontaneous Organization", or "Spontaneous Organi-mation" or "Spontaneous Animation". See, "Down The Drain" is the coolest, spontaneous production I've heard and the story behind it INSPIRES this concept. I think the band should make a video looking like they are holograms, coming SPONTANEOUSLY out of a "future age" disc player. The band spontaneously (seemingly in the video) comes up with this grand bombast, while their images look like they are coming out of the ether above this "cd player of the future", casting images, not unlike that of the one R2 presented of Princess Leia.

God Bless You, God Blesses You now, and sheesh God BLESSED YOU !!!

Take It Easy!

..The shell garage is bothering me to work again hey Joe.well about 10 years ago I got diagnosed with my schizophrenia they wee constantly bothering me to work right well because im a certified welder right qand alicenced mecahnic but it,s the MIG welder they need plus only a welder is allowed to stock parts starters alternators etc.Now i give the job to this dude loyd i guess hes not cutting it man and the gas pumping job to this other guy charlie but loyds mechanis uses only no welder anyways. sometimes i go in and do oil orders or brakefluids antifreeze book cars to get fixed etc .Today I go to get air in my bicycle tires and check to see if my oil is in i ordered and they had a new sighn their work starts at 8 am it said i didnt pay no attention to it and left .Just listen man it,s against the LAW IN CANADA FOR ME TO BE PHYSICALY EMPLOYED WHERE IM PHYSICAL THE GOVERMENT LETS ME OWN BUISSNESS WORK ONLINE WORK FOR MY BUISSNESS BUT IT,STHE LAW THAT IM NOT ALLOWED TO DO ANY FORM OF LABOURE BECUASE I HAVE SCHIZOPHRENIA it,s also the law that they give you dissaqbilty that turns into old age pension. It,s the law from wellparliment that each province must show signfigance to those with the disease of schizophrenia well banning physical employemnt! even if i wasnt on dissabilty it would still be against the law man so hopefully this sighn wasnt directed at me i do all the oil orderes ever season boat oil ruck oil spark plugs etc anyways wish they would leave me alone you see people with schizophrenia need balance from their muscle not to be used thats why it,s against the law for physical labouer but all they see is me and dollar sighns! you know! anyways later wolf2.

Michelle---The Happy Meal at McDonalds?! You've gotta be kiddin'......Gotta hear it from Al. He knows the geography of the land and where the best to get a bite to eat.....

Al--If you aren't the Prince of Ireland, then you must at least be the Prince of Dublin! ok.....I'll give Solitude another listen and also Enya's beautiful music. Hang on, Joe's Littleworth Lane is real nice and Two Sides To Every Story is so amazing and relevant. ok.....it's time for YOUR side of the story--The Prince of Dublin story or your ideas about the best Irish food. Please.

Listening to Alter Bridge-Blackbird. Not a bad album. May need to pick up the new one.

Mahavishnu - if you want up front in Ptown, find me. We will mash to stage together. I stood right in front at the Megadeth, Testament show this summer.

GoGi2, Al eats more Chinese food than the Chinese do. I'm sure when you go to visit him, he'll cook you a nice meal. He brags about his cooking quite often. He's a real man's man...I mean ladies man.. So um...yeah.

Speaking of Al...Well, yer lazy, ya just stay in bed...

Thanks for the heads up on the new Buckethead album - Captain Eo's Voyage! (iTunes) I downloaded it Sunday night and it's awesome... mellow/spacy, and a bit ambient. I've always liked the little bits I've heard of his music, though at times I've thought he was not as "accessible" to the average listener. I do play guitar, so I appreciate him quite a bit more I think.

I went ahead and picked up the only copy of Monsters and Robots at FYE and it's bada$$. Les Claypool is a freak, so who better to play with Buckethead?

Any recommendations for my next one?

JOE, is there any chance of getting BUCKETHEAD on G3??

btw - JS is still my favorite, just nice to listen to someone way out in left field :)

js1200js1000 - that's cool, and your opinion :)

I must say, a bucket on your head is a lot less offensive IMO than some of the current popular bands/groups in metal, pop, R&B, rap, etc....

One of my top 5 guitarists anyways, regardless of what he wears
