I picked up a CD collection of Hendrix... some obscure stuff recorded overseas, much of it live, or at least, rough recordings. Before studio fix-ups, his sound was almost rusty... something metalic and grating about it. Very raw. I wrote a short piece that encompasses a similar sound (although not quite what he had) in a Clapton/Cream type Crossroads song rendition.

Hi everyone.

Have the day off today. However, it's kind of a busy, but also a sad one. Just this morning, I received a call from my Mom, and my Grandma (Mom's side of the family) has recently crossed over. I actually figured that her time will come because she was not doing well. I'll miss her deeply, but I know she's watching down on the family along side with my Grandpa. Mom asked if I wanted to be a pallbearer, which I accepted.

It's going to be tough for a lot of members in the family, even me, but I'm glad that she has crossed over and is at a better place. I'm going to remember and celebrate my Grandma's life for what she has done for us & accomplished.

I'll miss you Grandma, and may your Spirit live on.

I'll be off of here for a few days, but I will check & read the posts on what is happening here. I'll let you all know what is happening, plus that 10K run I'll be doing on Sunday.

In chat room right now for a little bit.

\m/

Grant

QUESTION: Is anyone else having trouble with setting thier last message read? When I click on it, it seems to work, but when i log on again later, It tells me that I hav'nt set any 'messages read' so "here's messages from the last 5 days" thing----------driving me crazy. I dont know what im doing wrong. It was working fine.

Update: scratch that. apparently it's just me. worked this time. never mind,

Just wanted to thank you for sharing your talent for creating such incredible music with us! I swear the frequency of your music moves me to the core - I'd be willing to bet that after listening to One Big Rush, Friends, Summer Song there would be physiological changes in my body. Your music is vibrational medicine. I firmly believe it. I get stared at alot when I'm driving to work in traffic - people in the other cars looking weary or grumpy and then there's me...grinning from ear to ear because I totally can't help it when I listen to your music. It lifts me. Moves me. Rocks me! I was at your last show in Montreal at Metropolis. I have to tell you - I floated for days afterwards. It was as though my soul was fed after a long, long fast...and, truthfully it couldn't have come at a better time. Keep doing what you're doing...your gift to those of us who are lucky enough to know your music is one of joy & healing. THANK YOU! Can't wait to see you Dec 12th!

markTaylor Hey congrats on winng after show! Can you ask Joe or band members something for me please? Be=fore Joe cam on in London the stage hands were picking up Simon McBride's stuff, & someone got a really nasty electric shock - & as he walked off with the gear it looked like a live electric cable dangling.............can you ask if he was ok?

Did anyone else see that? Down in the stalls you must have done - I was up in the circle..........cheers luv anibur*

I like the poster's description above---rats, already forgot her name----sorry, but it was her first post about how Joe's music stirs her soul etc....and grumpy drivers and here SHE is smiling from ear to ear etc....etc...... Yup. You summed it up perfectly!!!!! He is such a gift and brings such warm feelings and inspiration to so many :-) He truly is a Beautiful Man. :-) To me, he is angelic. To meet him in person is seriously breathtaking. If listening to his music wasn't overwhelming enough :)

I finally got my pictures with Joe downloaded into my 'puter. Now, how do I go about posting it here to share? can anyone help me.

Cookies deal----ok, thanks Al ;)
