civgeek - yah, that was an awesome live version of Night of the Slunk!

BUCKETHEAD for G3 I say!!!!

I'm sure since Joe taught Larry Lalonde of Primus, and given BH's extensive work with Les Claypool and Bryan "Brain" Mantia of Primus, it might be just that much easier to hook up to jam. (Buckethead has listed Joe as an influence, at least according to Wiki)

Now you guys have got ME watching monkey vids.....then I also saw this one, awwwww

So cute u'll never need sugar again, lol!!

Chris got a Joe Satriani Chrome Dome pick set in the mail today from some nice person :) He's loving it and the difference it makes in the sound as opposed to a regular heavy, plastic pick...

Another nice product Joe :)

Why does my spell check underline Satriani? Have I not written that at least 5 million times already? You'd think it would have a fit and then just get over it!! Add it to the dictionary already!!

Here's one for u Mckenna...an ostriches eye is bigger than it's brain....

.................I know some peoples like that....

Skippy- I've been waiting for a reply from Sony for about 2 weeks now; one of my autographed booklets got damaged during shipping. From the sound of things, I shouldn't expect that they'll do anything to fix it. It's a shame that they just gave you your money back rather than send you a replacement, even if you would have had to wait until Joe comes off tour to sign a new one. I'm sure you're not the only one whose CD got lost or damaged. They should have kept 40 or 50 extra signed booklets in reserve for such an occasion.

I've gotten myself so worked up about that I don't remember what else I was gonna post!

Turbo236 - I can't believe my bad luck. How hard can it be to post 2 CD's to Australia? I receive items from Amazon and Barnes & Noble no problem. The weird thing is they reckon they shipped it on the 29th, yet it never came into Australia. I guess someone pinched it before it left the US.

The auto-email-bod-webform thing is a bit annoying, but they did respond after a couple of days, with an auto-email-bod template reply. No offer of sending a replacement, although I would imagine they posted all the signed CD's and didn't have any left. So I asked for a refund and they did it inside 24 hrs. It would have been better to have a phone number so you can discuss it with a human but large scale fulfilment means they automate everything.

*SIGH*Dammit**bugger*bwaaahhhhhh*sheesh!*FFS*

Blue Al - yer I bought one at the local music store, it just isn't signed. I bought the one with the bonus tracks on ebay and amazingly, unlike Sony, it made it all the way from the US to Australia inside a week.

Scube - LOL, just remember to put a return in after your last sentence cos it drops the marketing plug text straight after.

Its our turn for a tour Joe!!

anibur - That's a cool Squares anecdote that you found...thanks for sharing it.

I have an MP3 of that song (Follow That Heart)...I can share a link if you haven't heard it. Last time I posted it here Joe even chimed in with some comments about the band and Andy Milton (click "Joe Messages"...it's at the bottom of Page 6).

Cheese- I picked up one of those Chrome Dome picks a while back; it also came with a set of Joe's signature picks. Probably the same pack that Chris got. It made some neat sounds with pick scrapes and such, but hard as I tried, I couldn't really get in to just playing with it. It was just a little too thick for my liking. And the JS logo wore off after a couple days!

I'm really enjoying the Brain Picks- switching between the .88's and the 1's. I am a fan of the Planet Waves Smart Picks as well, but the Brain Picks have a hell of a grip on them, which is important to me because I get a lot of pain in my hands when I play. I probably focus more on holding on to my pick than I do my playing, lol!

Pee silly - Apologies not accepted, basicly because there was no need for them in the first place! I didn't think for a second you were having a 'go'. I sometimes over explain when i'm a bit tired and emotional. :-) Annyhoo, have a rocking good day.

Donkey - Utilising all my knowledge of colloquialisms, metaphors and linguistic quirks and summoning from my vast array of wit and repartee, Piss off you red nose clown! :-)

Edit

Two hunters are out in the woods when one of them collapses. He doesn't seem to be breathing and his eyes are glazed. The other guy whips out his phone and calls the emergency services. He gasps "My friend is dead! What can I do?" The operator says: "Calm down, I can help. First, let's make sure he's dead." There is a silence, then a shot is heard. Back on the phone, the guy says: "OK, now what?"

Are there any restrictions for photo cameras? Can I take a small, non-professional camera to a concert and take photos with it? I ask about the gig in Cologne (if there are restrictions which were made especially for particular gigs).

Pick your poison!
Dweezil (Zappa, of course) swears by these bad boys. He's also one of the few people I've heard say that a player's tone starts at the pick. All I can say is: "Try it! You'll like it!".

DistortedSoul - Excellent songs, I remember when those hit the street, way ahead of Slaughterhouse On The Prairie, we (the bots) were all drooling all over them. There's also a tribute to George Gervin called "The Iceman" on that album. Big B has a huge basketball fetish (Jordan? Hello?? LOL!) and sent those out to LeBron James on his Birthday. Nice.

civgeek - Ah yes.. Praxis... can't go wrong when Laswell & Big B join forces, there's a ton of excellent Praxis material out there but I'm partial to the "new" one Profanation (Preparation for a Coming Darkness). I really like the guest appearances, so many of my favorite artists, like Mike Patton on Larynx for example, simply incredible. I love to listen to that album (like all my favorite music!) start-to-finish.

p.s. - DAMN THOSE MONKEY VIDEOS! STEVE! (my favorite monkey!)

smooches,
» Phył

I cannot believe Satch is coming to Kelowna, BC!! I used the member website to ensure I got tickets in the pre-sale even before the local radio station's pre-sale. Thanks for the early purchase option :). It meant I got two seats, ten rows from the front in the exact middle - small venue so up close show. So looking forward to watching and listening live!!
