Joe, Black Swan is the best album I've heard in 2010 and certainly carries the weight of your greatest albums. It's very laid back and relaxing. I love it! Well done and certainly a 10/10 album. Keep em coming! Cheers.

It gets to me too Deb...I think it's knowing that Joe wrote this song about his mom and her little house...my heart goes out to him every time I think about her passing. I just wanna hug him up. In Napa, I gave Joe an extra hug right before he left and wanted to tell him how sorry I was about his mom but....I just did the hug cuz I figgered he lives with it every day and copes in his own way, doesn't need reminders constantly from everyone. But in my head I was saying "sorry about your mom".

I know Joe will do other tribute songs and they will all be beautiful and heart-felt :)

Ohhhhh, This is fun!! Joe in Toronto, April 1990...blast from the past eh Joe?? Woo hoo!

Which song did Joe write for his mom? This album retains the same feeling from his eponymous 1995 album but the textures are fresh. Lovely in every sense.

Well scubz, here's another one fer ya Joe Satriani Interview With Stuart Bull Licklibrary Namm Show 2007...it's a fun one, but short.

The good news is, Joe's gonna keep working and performing till he's 110 years old....the bad news is, he only gets one Wednesday off during that time, LOL!! Poor guy!!

Hope yer feeling better scuba, it takes time to get over whiplash, you can't push it, u just hafta take it easy and get through it little by little.

ILoveThailand, Joe wrote "Littleworth Lane" in memory of his mom and the house she lived in for the past "few decades". Go here and choose #6 where Joe talks about that song and how it came to be.

Hey Joe Somethin in your rifs that takes me to another place entirely. My brother and I listen lots. He has every album and that's how I was introduced. My brother's name is Mark. He has been playing guitar for many years, but has yet to 'come out of the closet ' to perform live, but he can play really well.

A week ago we listened to PROFESSOR SATCHAFUNKALIS. He said it would be his dream to see you perform live. I agreed!

Things always happen for a reason and I thought that must mean you would be playing somewhere nearby and soon. Always trust my intuitive gift...not often wrong.(Like PREMONITION) So I was thrilled to see you are and bought tickets to the upcoming Toronto gig at Massey Hall!

Was in a car accident in early July so am just now able to travel.....(my fifth concussion) so struggling still with my brain injury and still off work and isolated. Music is my solace and especially yours:)

I showed him the tickets the other night and he said "This is the concert of a lifetime" and I agree...something rare you can share with a brother. He got teary.

I hope your tour is going REALLY well and SO LOOK FORWARD to seeing you. I am certain you will feel the vibe right back from me Joe. Your music is a big part of my back to wellness plan:) Keep doing it OK?...I can't even begin to tell you how important it is.....

Axeshredder and Pip: Thanks for posting your videos. Always look forward to seeing them. Great job !!! (as always).

Axeshredder: How is the new JS2400 coming along? Pip also had the privilege of playing Joe's himself. Lucky guy. That guitar is on my holiday wish list. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Grant: Sorry again to hear about your grandmother. My mother passed away 6 months ago and one of the things that helped me through it was listening to Rubina's Blue Sky Happiness over and over. I hope it can help you as well.

Gonna have to cough up the dough cuz its the second show of my four show week!!!

Question of the day: Why is a tremolo called a tremolo? Shouldn't it be called a vibrato? Tremolo is a change in volume while a vibrato is a change in pitch. Shouldn't the tremolo (unit) on a guitar actually be called the vibrato?

That question has been bugging me since the mid 80's.

Hey Tony That's deep man.. I belive that Tremolo is the best word for the unit... If you define the word,- Trem olo. The unit trem's the strings and can be used as a vibrator also because of the springs in the back.. But i could be wrong.

I was determined to fly from Cornwall England to get to the Vicar Street Dublin show. That was a week ago and I am still raving about it. Really looked like you and the band were having a blast. Worth every penny of the flight !! Thanks for such a memorable night. Malc

What a year!
AMAZING guitar CD's so far:
Marty Friedman - Bad DNA - holy smokes!!
Paul Gilbert - Fuzz Universe - killer.
Joe Satriani - Black Swans And Wormhole Wizards - simply awesome.
Vinnie Moore - To The Core - love this!
Buckethead - Captain Eo's Voyage - probably my favorite CD in YEARS! Worth going out and getting an iTunes gift card for (last time I did it was for Professor Satchafunkilus! LOL!) just for this album. Even if you're "not a Buckethead fan" trust me, give yourself a real treat and pick up this album! I'm dumbfounded by it's sheer beauty.

200!!! Holy crap!

smooches,
» Phy³
