I love a great ending!!

IMO, she could have given him a stomp or two while she was at it!

Hope she wasn't hurt to bad.

Achoo - glad you had a great night. I thought Davy might join Joe on stage but he must have watched from the side.

Crystal Jammer - love the way you are excited before the show. I reckon you should go down there and see what's happening at the venue - you never know. Have a great time.

Satch rules!

Great concert, I need to know the name of the song he played after Light Years Away. He did some sweep picking I gotta learn.

There was a Joe inpersonator in Chicago, I dunno if he is a roadie or something. Was he at other concerts? He came out right before the encore. I noticed his shirt was different than Joe's and I laughed so hard when the REAL Joe came onstage and took his guitar and shades back.

I got to meet Distorted Soul, that was pretty cool. Saw you taking some pics, hope you got some good ones.

60" TV gets delivered tomorrow, our countertops were installed today. Carpet was installed saturday. The house looks brand new, just in time for Christmas. It's our turn to host Christmas this year and I'm SO excited!

Happy Holidays Guys!

after some youtube research, the song I was looking for was Memories. I never heard that song before the concert.

Thanks for the info on the amp Scubadaz.. I can't decide whether or not I wanna keep this Raven or not. I can get a pretty good sound out of it if I use a Digitech RP70, but otherwise I can't really get anything pleasing dialed in. I have until January 31st to return it, and I thought about trading it for a Peavey Bandit or a Valveking (if I trade it at all).
The only problem with the Valveking is that it's just a little out of my price range. Might have to make it a Christmas request...

Speaking of the Valveking; was that what Joe was playing in the Guitar World (or GP) magazine vid that Cheese posted the other day? He was playing a bit of Soap on a Rope and Turnin' Left.

yeah...I was at the show last night at the Chicago Theatre...and I can understand that people get excited about seeing Joe live...but when I went to see Joe at the house of blues and at the riviera...people stood up the whole time because there are very little or no seats...but at the chi theatre everyone has a seat..and to stand the whole damn concert is not only rude but stupid...if some person thinks "white people" don't get into the music you are wrong...I thought we could sit there and enjoy the show even though I had to work the next morning...but I guess some people don't give a shit about other people who spend good money to go to these shows...still I liked the show what I could see of it...

OK markt4658, not gonna argue with you. People at the concert dont have to stand the whole time but as I was saying they appeared to have no clue what was going on, and so they appeared as Zombies standing/sitting there with no expression. Unless everybody was that in awe. That could be a possibility but I doubt it.

An example was when Flying In A Blue Dream came on. Nobody in the back knew it was that song exept for the people in the fornt. So again just to coutner act the problem of the zombies. Next time I'm going club Joe. I went Club Joe before it was even called Club Joe and I guess I will shell out the dust to do it again.

But I have experienced that zombified expression at all the predominatly caucasian functions I've been to. From Joe to Vai on down to Megadeth and King Diamond. I understand that everybody is not a die hard fan but I say at least do a little homework before one comes to a concert.

And dont give me that I had to work line. I'm a full time student and I work.

GO BEARS !!!!!!!!!

I'm gonna try to uplad those crappy photos now.

Here is the vid of Dream Song from the show in Chicago, horrible camera skills, gotta polish those up...

I could not stand still lol

Some

Pics

of

Joe

Satriani

Really crappy but...

I think that the last pic would make a good album insert or something like that. It looks like Joe is leaving his body and turning into spirit form with his god like playing.

Mr. Satriani:

Caught the Cleveland show w/my 10 year old nephew...his first real concert. He's always admired you and now you guys have him hooked. He now practices his drums without me telling him to!

Thanks for a great show!

My wife and I attended our first Joe Satriani concert in Chicago on December 19, 2010. We did the VIP meet and greet, and it was awesome! Joe, Mike, Jeff, and Allen were awesome! I left there wanting to see him again soon, just in another locale. Thanks Gents for an awesome experience. Jim

Turbo236.... I love my Valve King VK212!! 100 watts of all tube happiness and LOUD!! If you do go that direction I suggest checking the tubes to see what ya got. The factory used what ever they could buy the cheapest. I switched my tubes out for the Electro Harmonix primary and preamp and I am very happy!!! It will be interesting to see what Marshall does in the next few months to follow.

Make it a great day!

gone!

Achoo1..thanks for the pics. When I tried to open 'Dream Song' I got this very strange message.

The action that you were trying to perform has failed...don't they mean the action THEY were trying to perform??

Typical PC schmuch!

Went to the show in Kansas City last night and like always it was awesome. I took my two great-nephews, 12 and 14, to their first rock concert and they were blown away. I am now the coolest great-aunt on the planet!

Personally, I just love watching someone so extremely talented who obviously loves what they do. Thanks for sharing with the rest of us mere mortals.

Thanks for all the congratulations.....my grandson was born around 9.30 pm last eve. a very long labor but mother & child are both doing great...... a lovely sight to see :-)

But in other news...my 18 year old son has contracted a nasty staph bug from the wrestling mats (most likely) affected a good portion of his right arm. I t came on quickly & is slow to respond IV antibiotics...... very worrisome..... I hope the meds start showing some improvement soon.

Here is Dream Song again from Chicago.

Hope it plays. I uploaded it to Photobucket but that little progress bar got stuck at 29% but when I went to my album, the vid was there. That might be the reason why it doesnt want to play right.

I tried to fix the other one too. Hopefully one of them works.

Certainly nice meeting you in KC last night. The set was way better than Glasgow. All of you sounded very "comfortable" with the music.
