Are you sure it's background noise from outside or other? I ask since I did mic an amp with absolutely no problem. In fact, I had to add a boost to my computer recording software to hear the guitar enough. Consequently, it would be very difficult to pick up anything beyond the mic. What may be the problem is the grounding of the mic, the quality of the cable it's hooked up to, or even whether your mic is turned on properly (high or low impedance). I'm guessing here.

Kayla - Good luck on your essay for your scholarship !

In all seriousness >do have someone proof read it for you...these things matter when it comes to being granted a scholarship.

I just went to a meeting to learn about this with my son.....who is the process of doing some applications himself.

All the best & happy writing to you ! :)

Thanks for the piemalet interview. It's interesting to note at around the 6:45 mark that there's a PEAVEY 6505 in front of Joe's Marshalls. Is it his or Mike Kenneally's, i wonder????

JOE

Any insights on the above mentioned Peavey???

Oh My Gosh..

Sine it has been recomended for me on here to try out Buckethead I've been looking into the plethora of stuff this dude does and I came across the First Praxis Album...

Certainly not what I was expecting but the sheer awesomeness of Bootsy and Bernie Combined with Bucket is Mind Shattering needless to say copies of this album are rare and go for a good amount of dough but I managed to snag a used one that is missing the front insert for less than ten bucks...but some people out there in the internet want waaay to much money for this, I could have gone the digital download route but I prefer to own physical cd's

I have to say that I would not have warmed up to all the funk so well had it not been for Joe being such a versatile guitar player himself, there are some nice funky moments on BSAWHW and for that I am greatful

Hello Joe,

My son and I have tickets for the Atlanta show Dec. 1 which also happens to be my son's birthday. This will be his first rock show and I want it to be the best it can be. He will be 14, which I think is how old you were when you started playing. Wayde is an accomplished violinist now playing in the Philharmonic Orchestra and has recently started playing both acoustic and electric guitar. I really believe he needs a good shot of inspiration that he will surely get when he has the opportunity to see a true master wield his instrument. What would be the coolest birthday party ever is if we were able to come backstage either before or after the show and meet you and all the cool musicians. This would certainly be a lifelong memory that might have him playing till his fingers bleed, tape them up and go some more. We are already getting our heads rung for missing school and work on the Thursday following the show, and a backstage visit would surely make all the discomfort easy to endure. We have been wearing out the youtube videos and are ready for a night of the real live music. Thanks for staying true to the spirit of music both by playing and helping others play. Good Luck on the tour, be careful and we will see you the first day of December in the ATL,

Great to see all the lovely posts from new T2Jers from Joe's European concerts. Sounds like everything on this tour has been a great success.

I took some Satch music away with me this weekend with a bunch of mates and tried a bit of Subtle Satchification - to which one said "Is that your Joe Santorini music?" LMAO!

They still don't get Joe, but a few are now interested in coming to the States with me to see Joe next year, well not to "see" Joe but to occupy themselves (shop) whilst I go to the shows on my own - at least I'd have some buddies there LOL!

Congrats Ian- I hope you go for Love Thing, I remember reading an quote from Joe on that one - he mentioned his wife was away and he really wanted her to be home and he wrote Love Thing about it - that's 100% love mate.

to QuestorThews and the other fans that waiting for Joe, after the concert: I don't know if Joe meets the fans every day of his tour...perhaps he was simple tired! I would be tired too, after weeks of tour. :) Don't be disappointed, there will be other chance to see him. ;)

About new album: I'm a nearly "just arrived" Joe's fan (I have discovered him 5 years ago :P) , but I have heard his past albums. I like when an artist change a little from his guideline style. I think it is a demonstration of the heart and emotions behind each album. I like this!

Just wrong.
