Hey Al... is it snowing there yet? Cuz it has been here. Sorry to hear about your gerbil. ;0)

Here is a nice song for a Friday, one of my all-time favorites. Soothsayer (dedicated to Aunt Suzie) Sadly Big B's Aunt Suzie passed away a little while later, then he dedicated this song ( Sail On Soothsayer ) to her memory. Possibly one of the most beautiful songs he's ever done. That boy sure loves his fambly! Songs like Watching The Boats With My Dad and For Mom , truly emotional stuff.
Have a GREAT Friday everybody!

smooches,

Yes! I Have the Anthology Cd! Soooo great and what a treat to know many of you picked those songs out :-) Liner notes cool! I am amazed at all the meaning behind Joe's songs-----I always just asumed he just picked up his axe and started wailing away and how could there be meaning behind an instrumental song without lyrics thing in my mind. Dead Wrong. Amazing..........THE EXTREMIST is one I swore I also had years back---but it is nowhere to be found. Probably the X ended up with it or something. PEACE LILY----- thanks for the linky to the Extremist video :) and your suggestion. I WILL be buying EVERYTHING and Joe's live dvds from the past as well and im sure tons of other goodies i can get my grubby little paws on :-) Just cant get to them soon enough. Gotta pay my bills, then grocery shopping then Joe shopping! Weeeeeeeeee!!

Hmmm...I didn't feel any quake here. Yeah--3.8 isnt much. Hate quakes so SO scary. Such a fear of them while im at work. I work in a huge wherehouse with tons of metal and steel and heavy freight everywhere. A big one will do us ALL in. No doubt about it. Kiss yourself goodbye at that place. It really scares me when i think about it :/

Great link Al! I LOVE Inbred Mountain.

Here is one of my favorite "weird ones", " Spokes for the Wheel of Torment " off of The Cuckoo Clocks Of Hell. Doesn't get much stranger than that, the artwork in the video is a bastardization of Hieronymus Bosch's The Garden of Earthly Delights... truly wondrous. Is there ANYTHING that guy can't play? You're right though, it's downright maddening. LOL!

Hi Joe,

Do you have problem with your JSX amps often? Maybe a silly question but mine is being repaired 4 time and most of guys say they break a lot. The sound versatility and desing is great and I wouldnt swap it for any amp but the marriage with XXX seems to be a bit harsh in terms of tech problems. Electronics seems to melt from ac voltage.

P.S Just bought your new album first 4 songs rock!:)

Good luck

I've been thinking of getting the Ice 9, but do listen to my stuff on www.ultimate-guitar.com ... user name logicbdj. I'm not sure I need it or would get much out of it... lots of drive to my sound. Let me know.

Same as before (in case you don't recall)... a JS2400 plugged into a big bad wah, which goes into a Whammy pedal, then into a Line 6 Pod X3 Live. This runs into an Eventide Harmonizer, and then into a Digitech delay, which runs into my JS mini colossal amp.

Sounds like a lot, but I don't use all of it at the same time, for the most part. The harmonizer is used sparingly, and the whammy pedal as well.

Almost forgot... I have a Saturator distortion pedal. My Pod runs into that, to give it a bit more fuzzy edge. As far as my overdrive is concerned, I get that from my Pod module.

What does everybody think of what Keneally is adding to the songs? I just watched Memories (from Dublin - thank you Chromeboy!) for the first time and holy frikkin' moley!!! Is that just insane or WHAT?! I sure hope like hell that this tour will be recorded for a future DVD because these songs have probably never sounded this way (read: this good?) before & it would be a shame to not capture this awesomeness. I'm SO GLAD I decided to spend the money I don't have to go to this show, I would have probably offed myself if I had seen these vids after not going to the show when I had the chance. Montreal can't come soon enough!

logic, my js mini is a dirty nasty lil thang without any help. i'm with scubz on the modeling stuff. just don't like the sound as well but i do understand it is an inexpensive way to go if you don't have $$$ for tube amps. cube i love my eventide mod factor. that thing can make some sound. scubz celestions all the way. my 1st marshall from the late 60's had celestions and i have loved them ever since. i wish i had kept that amp and cab.
