On our way to Vegas to the House of Blues to see Joe on Saturday night. I got the "meet and greet" package. My husband introduced me to Joe's music and I am a fan now. We went and saw the last show of Chickenfoot a couple of years ago at Universal. Just amazing! We are so excited. My son is a HUGE fan of Joe's and when he found out we were going, I told him that I would bring him back my portion of the "goodies" in the package. I mean, I don't, obviously, know Joe Satriani, but he really seems like a pretty normal guy..not egotistical..who just loves to play music! Anyway, it's going to be a fantastic time!!!!
Thank you for sharing your gift of guitar with the world, Joe!!!

Peace, sounds like you both had a great time! It's easy to forget what yer gonna say to Joe, because after all...IT'S JOE!! I was the opposite. I had a ton of stuff to talk about, but not much time, so instead I got some Jeff time, and lemme just tell ya...that didn't suck! lol! Joe was standing right there, but he was busy with a friend, so I looked over at Jeff and said "soooo, how are the kids?" in a funny way and he almost spit his beer. lol! I think it's easier to talk to Joe one on one than in a group setting with everyone watching you. Now that you have one under yer belt, the next time should be easier. I mean, Joe is Joe *insert angels singing*, but then again, he's just Joe, a guy that plays guitar, has a wife & son, and puts his kix on one foot at a time. Then again, maybe he just jumps in them with both feet? lol! He does have the coolest kix tho..... LOL!
Why is it that when you have a headache, the sun is 10x brighter and the snow is 10x whiter. lol! OY!!
Skippy, it's your turn for a Joe tour!

Portland show was great. Joe played well and the new bass player was fun to watch. He was having a great time. On the other hand Galen might as well have been on the bus. Dude looked like someone made him play. So I tried not to look his direction. Yes the floor at th Roseland is always a bit loud. We were up in the balcony for the first time and really liked it up there. Got to hang with Fireman Ken. Very good date night for the wife and me.

Michelle- COOL interview!!!! Yes maybe next time I'll be able to ask some questions...but maybe not LOL. People had very good questions for Joe and there was alot of laughter too. Joe is not only a very real down to earth guy but he has a well-developed sense of humor too. ( as we already know) My hubs was so impressed with Joe's personality..he kept saying how down to earth Joe is etc. He is still not a huge fan of the genre but its growing on him.
civgeek- I was wondering if Galen was ill actually ...he did alot of leaning on the pole nearest to him. his energy was not up to par with the rest the band for sure. Allen impresses me everytime with his energy someday I would like to see him playing with "The Mermen" I'm definitely a fan. Jeff & Mike were on fire as well but poor Galen....
OAKLAND PEEPS- Oh how I wish I was there! Have an awesome time !!!!!!!

Wow, Peace, I feel really short posting next to you. LOL! Joe's got a great funny bone, and that's one of the things I love about him. My hubs will tell everyone that *I* am the big Joe fan, but it's allll he talks about after a show! lol! My favorite thing is to hear my husband tell someone about our experience at the shows. He gets so animated. lol! We're both infected with Satchafunkitis!

Civgeek...that's funny what you said in regards to Galen. He did look as though he half dead most of the show. Even when he got next to Joe to play, his lack of enthusiasm was still there. At least that is how it appeared to me and you as well apparently. I don't know if it's just him or what, but the rest of the band was very into the show, as was the crowd. I wish that they would turn Galen up when they play. It's almost impossible to hear the Rhythm guitar and I think it would make the sound so much fuller. I don't know, maybe Galen likes it the way they have it or something. It's kind of obvious he doesn't like to be the center of attention.

Hey Satriani fans. New here really and I figured I'd share with you all here a cover I did at my high school talent show of Surfing with the Alien. Not trying to hyjack a forum or anything just figured you'd all like it. I did make 2 big mistakes but that was thanks to the cable to the moniter going bad and cutting out. Even so I won. This was last years and only my 3rd performance ever.

...Some good new!.Checked out the formula mx properly today, and well it blew an oil line for the roatry valve whic is basically your turbo! and it needs a fuel .Pump! The still good new is I have both brand new in stock here at my place. The bad new`s I am really deffinetly now not renweing my licence and deffintely not even rideing it under my contraol slicence to get to crown land without the licence card or insurance why.I will tell You why The Hose it blew For the roatry valve has to be specific made for your machine by bombardier it was 112,000 dollars now I cut it rpelaced the bottom hose 5 years ago but not the top I still do have enough for the top hose but then what the first one replaced will go it was 113 459 dollars for the hose man about 8 years ago dont even know if I could get any more made the frenchman is closed whiet water marine out of buissness in peterborugh because the 1985 formula is the fastest snowmbile evr produced they have to put memeory in the hose! O it will be fixed right here this spring still could possibly be doing the crown land rideing thing but 114,000 gees when we need more hos A gee I dont know! so the engine is fine everything is primo I have even better fuel pump brand new here for it Mikuni like the flatslide raceing carbs raceing pump anyways so were sort of good in a way 8 pm risperdal 5 mg 5mg 8 am I wouldnt trade my schizophrenia for nothing everyone else has nothing woule be good but im rather pleased with and like my self thats candid bro wolf2.

You've done it again, great new album, Pyrrhic Victoria is my new favorite track!!! Professor Satchafunkilus hit the shelf when I was in Iraq and really brightened my tour, it wasn't long after that I got my wife hooked on your music. I've been listening to you since I was 7, when my uncle gave me Surfing with the Alien. You are the most constistent artist in my collection. I thank you for what you do!
