savoie2008 - lucky you!

Here's a little interview which answers one of my burning questions for Joe - what are the top 5 songs on your ipod? Interview

Jimi
Rolling Stones
ZZ Top
Jeff Beck
Emerson Lake & Pamer

Wow the Jeff Beck "Nessun Dorma" is fab, I'd never seen that before...

Oops.... and a short piece about Chickenfoot having 14 songs on the go already HERE

Another report from your overnight news Satchaholic, Skippygirl :0).

Redecorating my kids old room today. Scraping off the old wallpaper to see what's underneath. Hope there's no surprises. Should be nice to have a fresh look. It's been the same since this ol' house was built back in '64. It's definitely gonna be a 'woom wit a view' today! Wish me luck!

;-)

Alan, we got the wind last night, and it's supposed to continue today with up to 40 mph gusts. Thanks for sharing.

I'm hungry.

Hi Joe how you doing??....My name is Alex and i write you from Italy....I just had surgery on his left hand, the tendon of the 4th finger to a stenosing tendonitis (trigger finger). As you can imagine I play for many years and is the first time I have this problem. Now I have a little afraid it will not come back all right and I was wondering if a musician like you always play has never suffered from these problems. Sorry if I have not done the usual questions about aspects of musical technique but is due to the fact that I can not play And then I grew up listening to you and so do not know what to ask! Finally I say that the show in Milan last night It was great ..... your performance as usual superb and the choice of songs very guessed, memories, etc. hordes of Locusts. I'd listen rubina .. beautiful and relaxing maybe the next tour in Italy. thanks for letting me spend some of your tempo.-Alex Canali 17 november 2010 Ascolta Trascrizione fonetica

Jon - the new video is awesome! Love the Hubble pics, truly takes the listener to where Joe is talking aboot!

ATTENTION AUSSIES! - That 1 Guy is playing in your neck of the woods... trust me on this one, I've seen him something like 11 or 12 times and the man is simply a genius! You won't pay too much to see him, so even if you don't like it you're not out that much $$$. He converts the entire crowd every time, it's stunning to watch. When he starts everybody looks like deer in the headlights, by the time he's done the whole place is rocking, at the Folk Festival here I thought they were going to crack the floor they were bouncing so hard! And that's a "folk" crowd!!! Trust me on this one: Go see him!!! Make it happen! Be sure to meet'n'greet with him after the show, he is THE nicest guy on the planet (well, next to Joe I suppose!) and also be sure to tell him that Phydeaux_3 sent you, that will get him smiling!

smooches,
» Phy³

Received the Jimi Hendrix Anthology (West Coast Seattle Boy). Worth every dime. His playing is truly different, as most of you know... to watch him on DVD (worth the price of the box set) is awe inspiring... his natural movements is beyond what anyone has produced today. Many may be more technically advanced, but the fluidity and naturalness (he plays like the guitar is part of him) has been unmatched.

ICEMAN II - I first saw Journey in the summer of '80. For many years we were lucky enough to have shows at the Oakland Coliseum called "Day On The Green". I went to many, many of those gigs and saw Triumph, UFO, Gamma, Ted Nugent, Foghat, Aerosmith, The Who, Rising Force, The Rolling Stones, Nazareth, etc... At that first Journey gig it also featured Cheap Trick, Black Sabbath, & Molly Hatchet. In May of '89 I saw a certain guy named Joe Satriani (my 2nd. Joe gig) along with The Grateful Dead, Tracy Chapman, John Fogerty, Los Lobos, & Tower Of Power. Aaahhhh, those were the days. Anyway, Journey was very good and Neal Schon in particular was fantastic! Speaking of Journey, Steve Perry is a huge Giants fan and was part of their World Series parade a few weeks ago. A very good Giants song was done by a fan to "Don't Stop Believing". Sorry, I don't know how to post a link. Do a youtube search of "Ashkon Don't Stop Believing". Even has vintage concert footage of the band. The best Journey moment that I know of though is when Rodney Dangerfield cranks up "Any Way You Want It" in Caddyshack, haha. "That man's a menace!".
