I bought the Ice 9 pedal. It does add a bit more warmth/depth/edge to the tone. However, when used with the Saturator, the gain needs to be kept in check (at 9 o'clock), or else it gets a bit shreddy in the tone. Even on its own, with my other gear, I can't crank it too much or it has a trebly effect to it. I'm using so many effects, including a Line 6 Pod X3 Live, that that could be the cause. Nonetheless, I'll likely keep it.

Stu Hamm's latest solo album, Just Outside Of Normal, is done. You can hear samples at CD Baby:

http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/stuarthamm2

Included are two songs with Satch on guitar, and Stu's solo rendition of Led Zeppelin's Going To California that we know from the PSATMOR tour.

You can buy the MP3 album at the above link now. Physical copies should be available from there by the end of the week, and autographed copies should be available from Stu's website soon.

Hi. Need some help. I have "meet and greet" tickets for Dec 6 show in Greensburg Pa., but haven't received any info about where and when to meet. If anyone could provide me with the info or some guidance it would be greatly appreciated. I will be driving 400 plus miles with my daughter to the show (most likely in the snow) and would be a lot less anxious if I knew where/when to be at the theatre to meet Joe. Thanks !! CoyoteWV

CoyoteWV....well, it seems that Club Joe-ers are reporting that they're getting the email instructions, but often don't get them until the day of the show, which is pretty hard on the peeps who have to travel quite a ways, like you. The best advice we can give you is, whatever time doors are supposed to open at your show, plan on being there 3 hours earlier at the latest. If it were me, cuz I'm just this way, I'd be there 4 hours earlier and put up with the wait. You might end up standing outside for a bit, but that way you likely won't miss the tour and Q&A with Joe. Lindsay Long is the Club Joe coordinator, Galen Henson is the tour manager...they both have a facebook page so you might try contacting them that way to see if you get a response. Do you have a cell phone with internet so you can check your emails the day of the show? Or maybe find an internet cafe once you get to town, if possible.

Good luck with everything, I hope it all goes very well for you and your daughter....you're going to be totally blown away by the whole experience :) Be sure and come back here after your show and let us all know how it went, k?

PS, when you get to the venue, find the box office or a security guard and start asking where you're supposed to wait. Someone there should be able to point you in the right direction...usually you wait near the public entry doors but ASK to be sure :)

Yeah....PEACELILY--------IT MIGHT GET LOUD is so cool to say the least. I have it, I am a HUGE "anything" Jack White and White Stripes fan. Jack has his own style, eccentricity going on that is just fascinating. Love him to death... Possible White Stripes Reunion on the horizon!!!! Huge Arcade Fire fan as well....

I saw Arcade Fire last tour mind blowing f'n mindblowing.... I had a really cool "fan" experience with Win Butler that I shall never ever forget!!!! Similiar to my experiences with Joe in how greatly it made me smile for days :-) and still :-)

saw The Dead Weather a few months ago. NO WORDS... Just incredible.... And Alisson Mosshart? that lady kicks ass.. she is incredible. The band as a whole, incredible. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dont' know if anyone has posted about this yet. Havn't been around to read all the posts. Saw this in the latest issue of Guitar World below:

Vote Now at GUITARWORLD.COM/READERSPOLL

"Can Gus G. overtake SATCH as Best Shredder?"

Ha. I know Joe doesn't consider himself a "shredder" but thought i'd post for amusement :) I'll vote for our Joe

Gus G. is pretty f"n amazing no doubt.....but i"ll still vote for JS :-)

Dear Cheese101 -- thank you for the advice. Unfortunately, will not have easy mobile access to email. However, we could be at the venue by noon on Dec 6th barring weather difficulties. Also, took your suggestion to contact Lindsay Long and/or Galen Henson. There were too many Lindsay Longs on Facebook, but we were able to find Galen's website and sent him an email. Hopefully we will get a response. I have seen Joe live a couple of times but my 14 yr old daughter has never seen a concert close up and I would hate to shell out $600 bucks for premium meet and greet tickets and end up missing it. Thanks again !!

CoyoteWV, here is Lindsay's facebook page:

http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=523799629

I believe you can send her a message there, much good luck to you! Your daughter's gonna LOVE this show, as will you I'm betting, LOL!

And btw, Lindsay is a very efficient Club Joe manager, so I know you'll get the info sooner or later. It's just in the case of peeps having to travel so far, and especially in bad weather, it doesn't hurt to try to get the info a titch early :) Lindsay is a doll, and Galen rocks, lol! Joe's got good peoples around him :)

Rhythmsteady- I really enjoyed "It might get loud" Every time Jimmy Page was playing you could see the years roll away from his face & His eyes lit up & "Rock n Roll" attitude took over.....it made quite an impression on me.

Cheese- Thanx for the pointers you gave CoyoteWV...I was wondering how the meet n greet logistics played out myself.

:-)

edit-Just read the Grammy nominations...pretty much a joke. Justin Beiber .....Adam Lambert ..Lady Gaga.....blah blah blah...ad nausea-um.....

Jeff Beck got a couple nominations..but 1 is for best POP instrumental.... Jeff Beck is POP??? POP??????? :/

Joe last night in Atlanta: Was a great gig. Actually its been a long time since i enjoyed a Satriani gig as much. Beautiful set list spanning the early stuff from Not of this Earth to several from The Extremist album - War, Friends and of course the newer material.

I REALLY enjoyed it.

I was thinking it is my 20th year since first attending and meeting Joe in Scotland in 1990. I still wear my 1990 T-shirt to every gig. I guess I have seen and met Joe at least 15 times and he is always so humble and nice. His gigs have changed in 20 years. A bit more formal than they once were but his talent and niceness is always evident.

Ronnie
