I am so looking forward to the Uptown Theater show in Kansas City this coming Monday. Can't wait to hear Wind in the Trees (fingers crossed). I love that new album! I think it hints at earlier days, lays down some way cool new material too and sets me free thinking about what's in store for the future. All that aside, I'd be content with any piece you wanna play...just want to be there. It's my wife's gift to me for my birthday and Christmas and I can't think of a better way to spend it. See you there!

Hey Joe, I just wanted to say thanks for the music. Your song "Not of this Earth" was what got my dad into playing guitar and he's 27 years strong thanks to you. And your song "Belly Dancer" has been a large inspiration in my guitar playing as well, I've only been playing for one year, but your music has been what I aim for. When I have Kids I hope they use your music to support them as well. You Saved my Life, Friends, Always With Me Always With You, The Crush of Love, and so many songs like those have been emotionally empowering to me, so Thanks. And ROCK ON.
P.S. You should load some more lessons on Youtube Lol.

Dear Joe,
I told you this a few years ago and iŽm gonna say it again.
I appreciate all your last albums cause they are good. But in my modest opinion your two last "high quality" albums were cristal planet and Engines of creation...
You are my favourite artist so i want to give you two advices as a fan:
1) Take more time to release a new album, i wouldnŽt mind to wait three or four years if the result is another Cristal Planet album style... I mean that if you take the best two or three songs of your last three or four albums you would have one of your best albums during your career ,,, so please, take a break, enjoy chickenfoot now and release a new album in three or four years making a the best selection possible...
2) You must use more experimentation... engines of creation was something different from your other albums. Cristal Planet was different too than your previous albums. Joe Satriani was an amazing "blues and jazz" orientes album...
IŽd like you to release a new sty7le album... options? Acoustic album with all your career hits recorded in accoustic. Another option? Keep the line of Engines of creation and give a new step in that direction. Third option: re-record all your hits with a new modern and experimental arrenements and sound...
Dear Joe, youŽve always known how to re-invent yourself... you should do it again... your last albums are good and i appreciate them but all of them follow the same line and style..l.
Big hug for you and all the fans !
I love you all !
Peace.
Carlos.

Sorry, i forgot it... final option: a industrial-rock oriented album... an example of the sound i want is in the GHOST song... that part you play reminds me Buckethead sound... IŽd like to hear that short of crazy riffs with that industrial sound which are so popular in these days...
You can contract me as music advicer !!!! hahahaha LOL

Take care Satch !

Hello,
I hope Joe reads this. Excuse me for my English, i am Dutch. I want to thank you. Why? Because:
I am 16 years old and i play guitar for about 3 years now. But a year ago i got a disease. My right arm got totaly paralysed and my left arm a bit. I had a lot of pain and i couldn't play my guitar anymore! THAT was a nightmare. But slowly my arm got better. They said it would take AT LEAST 4 years to recover, i did it in 1 year. It was unbelievable. But the point is, I always thought: I only play blues music, i don't like shredders. I loved blues (i still do) and only played blues. I couldn't listen to al those fast notes. But i realised i was wrong. I heard your song: "Chords of life". I thought: MAN this is good! It wasn't sloppy shred. It was beautiful. The sound, the playing, the composition. Then i heard "Friends". I became a fan of you. You don't try to play everything fast, you play what you like. And maybe that is fast sometimes, but sometimes it NEEDS to be fast. I was so wrong. When i heard these 2 songs i was still paralysed. But when i heard you i wanted to play again SOOO much. I practised and practised and slowly my arm got better. I practised the song: Always with me, always with you. And i never had so much fun learning a song. The fysiotherapists and i think i recovered so fast because of playing guitar. So i want to thank you SOOOOO much. You gave me back my guitarplaying. I listen to your music with so much joy, and i play your music with even more joy i think. If you have time. This is a clip of me playing live at a contest i won, i try to play my heart out at the end of the first song (While my guitar...):

Thanks Joe,
You rock!

New Amp Day was pretty good. Got to play through the Mesa DC-10. The tone was badass!! Only downside was there is a bad tube some and the guy selling it wanted to make sure that it was only a tube and not something else so I didn't get to bring it home yet. But it's going to the tech today and if it's just a tube than I'll have it after lunch. Can't wait to crank it up at rehearsal on Sunday.
Oh and i need to trade out my Laney 212 8Ohm cab for a 212 16Ohm cab. So if anyone in Portland, OR or Seattle has one one they want to swap drop me a note.

My sisters due her first kid next week, I bet the kids gonna get screwed with Christmas/Birthday presents in 1 :(
Uncle al before the New year, how nice
For future reference, I'll cut a Christmas card and Birthday card in half and tape each side together, then a year later I can use the other 2 sides, GENIUS!
There's my plans for the foreseeable future regarding presents for an unborn niece/nephew
