Suck A$$ about the Chromie being stolen. But keep the faith. Those are a rare, hopefully it will turn up soon. Took a year and a half for mine to come back.

Stumptown is a nickname for Portland, OR

Stumptown was coined in a period of phenomenal growth in Portland after 1847. The city was growing so rapidly that the stumps of trees cut down to make way for roads were left until manpower could be spared to remove them. In some areas, the stumps remained for so long that locals whitewashed the stumps to make them more visible, and used them to cross the street without sinking into the mud.[15][16] Captain John C. Ainsworth commented that there were "more stumps than trees" in Portland in the early 1850s

Looks like I had better be getting my bags packed for Spokane!! I hope the weather holds for a couple days this weekend; I fly up there the day of the show and fly back the morning after. The extended forecast is calling for snow :(

I've been anxious to see what changes have been made to the setlist for the last leg of the tour. A little part of me was holding out for DWCAE, but I don't think that's gonna happen...

Hopefully there are no fights at either of the shows I go to. I don't mind folks having a good time, but quite a few of them just go to a concert to get insanely trashed. Why waste the money on the ticket?!

Hey JS1000 was nice to meet you as well, my head is still ringing, i feel like i got run over by a rock band. Fantastic concert, the addition of Mike Kineally makes for an interesting dynamic, plus he's entertaining as hell to watch. great musician, heads just a swiveling around, rubber neck would be a good nickname for him. the opening act was in my opinion not that great, he can play but his sound was terrible, very muddy, no definition in the notes when he played a run, you could hear the first and last note of a phrase and in between it was just noise, maybe he was having equipment issues. i havnt down loaded the camera yet, we were at the jubilee for 7 hours, time well spent. and Mr. Satriani drew a serpent on my already doodled 91 JS1. looks cool. Thanks Joe,

...The Fucker`s they got me again.Well I am suppose to use my own dicretion if i am too strong for a licence hey man wether it,s to get one renew one etc .Like i may have got away with it if the renewal was couple years ago but today my strength just united. They only tell you once hey the MTO ministry of transportation .Like If i do go renew my licence they will give me one but I know and they know Im too strong wright then for the full licence period and 4 years after your never ever allowed to call or use the police.if you dothe mto shuts you down like your dissabilty cheque mail etc and can even imprion me for 9 years Now lets say the mto decided not to pursue the cops can then be activate vitated furthe like instead of just common assault assault and battery whic the court can give me 10 years foror 4 years for a death threat that lead to assault or time for anything groups of people have done that have awareness of me! .I am only suppose to do things that are free even this compuetr at home im not suppose to have it im supposes to use my learn provided by the ministry of transportation for free at the library im only suppose to do free things and only suppose to e non cometic means free traveling like crown lan and my ATK.I did 24 months before or i thing it was 27 the mto put me their they decided i wa too strong not even a charge like they make free things for me etc but seriously I am too strong for alicence and if I do kill the police and Im driveing they can document and possibly cherge me with non agressive tolerance did 18 onths for that before anyways and thats what I am going through the reason why I said the fuckers got me wa they gave me a 7 years licence or something and my strength just united before the renewal at the end of febuary these mother fuckers are too smart normal licence is 5 years anyways later wolf2.

scuba, i love the coil tap on the js. it gives it a slightly sweeter tone very reminisent of an early firebird or les paul jr. i don't use the high pass filter too much i must say. it gets kinda tinny to me. i love the js through my twin reverb running volume at about 6 or 7. it also sounds good through the legacy. when i run the amps in stereo both the jem and js sing. just enough diff in tone that they harmonize really well.

CHadley, you could have used some of our Philly bouncers. lol! They're on ya at most venues - most of the time.

I remember seeing Jeff Beck & Carlos Santana back in the day at an outside venue. I think it was Camden, NJ. . Carlos was talking about love and peace and all this amazing stuff, and these two idiots having a pissing contest finally went to blows. They eventually got booted out, but they fought the entire time and at one point broke free from security to get a few more punches in. It just goes to show that some people shouldn't be left off their front porch.

Anyways...

First of all I would like to apologize that I have never understood the fascination everyone who loves you has.... My husband likes your music so I bought tickets for the Edmonton show on the 4th of January. I thought I should bring a book it might be a long night (again so sorry).... From the moment you played I understood, felt and heard the passion, magic and pure genius of your music. Thank you. Your music is truly magical, mesmerizing and it's llike your guitar speaks words as you play. Thank you so much as I now have your music in my heart and soul. If anyone ever asks me what I think heaven would be like... I would tell them it's like seing Joe Satriani live....truly. Thank you so much for this experience and I've just added more of your music to my collection. :D

Bratnahalf- I love your post! Bless ya for coming here & 'fessin up about bringing a book to the concert.Joe's gift is amazing! Glad your one of "US" now. Welcome to t2j. :-)

Axeshredder- Your welcome. I enjoyed that interview. I had never heard the story behind Joe's contribution to "Repentance"...always wondered & as always Joe is entirely too humble when it comes to taking any credit where his "students" are concerned. It has been hard to find a good link lately, been watching old youtube vids ...just to get my Joe fix.

BadNomad- Thanx for the prayers.....he is one lucky kid..just about back to normal.

Hey Joe: Think you could ask those guys in the first rows to sit down? I had a young fella with me, we were at the meet and greet on Jan 5th in Cagary, he was the young kid with the guy who looked like a linebacker. When everyone stood in front even standing he couldn't see. Hell I couldn't see, because when I stood no one behind me could see... So I was the guy who took the upset kid out, with 5 songs to go. I really don't see why people can't sit and enjoy, so EVERYONE can sit and enjoy. All I got to see was saggy middle aged dancing asses, with the occasional brief glimpse of you. I guess for 500.00 I kinda wanted to see you play, nor could we see any of the band. Sounded awesome!!!! Loved the songs, but ....... could you not ask people to sit?
