Sad news, the world of rock has lost another. I have a lot of great memories seeing these guys play all around The Bay. RIP Phil.

Man this stinks. Y&T was huge here on the west coast and I went through HS listening to them nearly everyday. I was so excited when they rereleased their albums on CD cause my vinyl was wearing out. If you haven't checked them out before do yourself and favor and do so now. Dave still has a great voice and plays some of the sweetest leads.

Hello everyone and happy new year. Just wanted to say how good it was to see Joe in Denver at the Paramount on Dec. 21. I have seen Joe live before 3 times with the G3 tours and once with Chickenfoot, but this was the best--22 songs of his best stuff!! If anyone that was at the Denver show can remember the entire set list please let me know; i have only been able to remember about 18 of the songs to make into a cd mix. I just wish i had the money and time to go see him again in Vegas or Reno before this great tour ends. The meet and greet package is the way to go. Got my picture taken with Joe!

@Joe: We are counting down the days until your concert in Portland and getting to see you up close at the Bing Lounge. Are you giving away any backstage passes for the Portland Concert?

It kind of seems like posting on T2J eliminates any chance that you'll be drawn for an aftershow pass! 99% of the time, at least.
After much consideration, I think I am most looking forward to seeing Joe perform Why on Sunday night.
I've still got my fingers crossed for a miracle "Dog" to make an appearance at one of my shows, but I won't be disappointed at this point if he doesn't show up..

...Just listen,The HEAD is cut on the Formula.Well it has a decker raceing enetrprises engine it,s ported and polished cylinders as well. What doe a cut head do? you might ask! They drop your body cornes. What it means is it first it opens the brain it does that by incresing the speed of blood though your body so your brain is just blank everything except the first few running sounds of the engine the horspower is increased by 57,000 x the speeds of power they do keep and think memory the atk has a cut head as well well it,s a team aaen very same like it does the same thing .The cords of your body whic is what houses the veins open allowing the veins in the body to open so theirs no memory but the head has a pitient programe whic is where it meters and measures the ride and puts that in the vein .And that is how a CUT !! raceing cylinder head works! with time travel of 100% or better instant almost 100 out of 100 for the little ride you thought you had you been across the planet and you only took the same amount of time as the little ride. and that is the truth on how bothe My atk My formula mx work so their is nothing wrong with me yours wolf2.

Joe: I wanted to say that I really enjoyed your show in Edmonton at the Jubilee. I thought the audience was the most lame and comatose I'd ever had the misfortune of attending with, but that aside, you were brilliant as ever. (Galen actually had to motion the audience to stand while the band was performing Big Bad Moon, since it was the last song of the main set list) I hope the lackluster Edmonton crowd doesn't stop you from coming to Alberta again.

turbo236: not so...I got the nod on the Chickenfoot inaugural kickoff show in Seattle.
Why don't you mosey on over to Ticketmaster and purchase those two front row center Seattle tickets that have remained untouched all day? Idaho ain't that far of a drive...

Satriella-sorry about your mum. I was sitting right next to my mother when she passed so I know how you feel. My deepest sympathy to you and your family.
Congrats to you and your soon to be hubby. To me, the obvious song for the wedding is " The meaning of love ". I hope you're life together is as happy as any couple could wish for.

Satriella- I take that back. " the meaning of love " might be a little to rockin' for a wedding song. I say use whatever song touches you the most.

Ranjack- That's why I said 99%; I know there have been a couple of exceptions, but for the most part, every time I look on the road page, I have never heard of the pass winner.
Also, I'd love to go to Seattle, but I'm already doing Spokane and Reno, so I've blown my Joe budget for the year!
Ian
EDIT- It's at least a 12 hour drive to Seattle from here, and I'm already planning to drive to Reno, which is 8 hours, and flying to Spokane just a few days before; so, budget aside, two trips are enough for me.

Mr. Satriani,
I am 14 and have just released my debut guitar instrumental CD. I have been playing guitar for six years.
I know is is very bold to ask, but I would really be grateful for your opinion and critique.

Here is a pretty nice Limelight article written about my CD, too.

Kayla- I would love to do a third show!! Especially one with a backstage pass, but I spent that money on a plane ticket and hotel. I'll just keep holding out for that aftershow pass for my chance to meet Joe I suppose. I just really hope the weather holds out on Sunday so that my flight can land before the show. (Noon-ish). I'm not too concerned about getting back, just as long as I'm in Reno on the 14th!
It looks like Solitude has made it into the set the last couple shows at the expense of another full song. It's a beautiful piece but it's soooo short! I saw a couple shows without Pyrric Victoria and Revelation on the list. I guess in the end it doesn't matter what songs he plays, I'm gonna have a good time and in 2 days I won't remember a single song unless I write them down as he plays them, though I'll never forget Time Machine from JS 08 in Reno and I have a feeling Why will be the same this time around...
Speaking of Why... I got a Boss PS-6 Harmonist for Christmas... pretty neat little toy. I've been messing around with the sounds of "Why" for the last few days. It's no Super Harmony Machine, but it does a pretty good job. Also traded my amp in for a Bugera 22 watt tube amp. I was going to buy a Valveking but they didn't have any in stock and I didn't want to go home without an amp, found this little guy on the shelf and decided to give it a try. Haven't decided if I'm gonna keep it, yet.
