Hi Joe. This message it more to the guitar teacher side of your talent. I'm a 60 year old rocker who walked away from the guitar for twenty eight years. I know it was a bad decision but when we are young we make some of those. I picked the guitar up again a couple of years ago and things came back pretty quick for the most part however lately i'm sort of stuck in a rut and am getting frustrated. My hope was that you may have some suggestions to help me move up to the next level. My ear is still pretty good but i seem to be having trouble figuring out some of the blues chords and my fingers don't alway's want to cooperate with what my head is telling them to do especially in the descending direction. Any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated i don't want this to stop being fun that's what made me quit thirty years ago. Thanks and keep up the great guitar work.

fatape - LMAO!

Well the Boxing Day test is on the telly, slowly cleaning up from the festivities yesterday, which ended with me, my 2 sisters-in-law and a bestie all watching Love Actually at midnight, shouting at the TV "don't answer your phone you silly twit!!!" to the girl who brings Karl back to her place haha!

I have some new Rolling Stones and Hendrix to listen to, and a couple of guitar books to read on the way down to the beach later.

Life doesn't get much better.

Hey Joe, guess you're right in the middle of Xmas Day now, would be great to see some blue when you've had a rest and a chance to relax. Hope Santa filled your stockings!

I have 3 lovely framed Bill Graham Satch gig posters that Mr Skippy gave me, they're going in my music room here

Mr. Satriani, this is the first I post at this site and I hope you read my post. I just want to say that in my opinion you're the greatest guitarrist after Jimmi Hendrix(R.I.P) and I would give anything to lear how to make music just like you. Oh, and one more thing... Are you going to do any show/concert in Brazil in 2011? I would love to hear Summer Song, Always with me always with you, surfing with the alien and many more alive.

Cordially, Felipe.

Joe, Thanks for you and your bands' awesome contribution to rock 'n' roll! I've always loved "Flying In A Blue Dream" in its entirety! I enjoy many songs from your other albums and what you did with 'G3"! It is really amazing what you can do with a guitar in your hands! It seems as if your soul-felt passion for music breathes through your guitar! Music moves my soul! I turned 51 recently and I purchased a Gibson Les Paul Studio Guitar. It's a beauty. Some may think that I'm getting started pretty late, but I believe it's never too late. I have small hands, but consider it a challenge not an obstacle or issue. There is an absolute plethora of information on the web. For now, I'm practicing chords, scales, and just stretching out my fingers and hand. If you have any advice for a beginner, that would be appreciated! First things first, but one day I could see purchasing an Ibanez JS2000 and an Eric Johnson Fender Stratocaster! I sincerely hope your son gets well soon! Congratulations regarding your grand daughter! I certainly look forward to more music coming from you and your band!!! Thanks so much! Hugh

wolf, nice of you to shave the turkey, but did he wear his Sunday shoes to dinner?

Awww yeah, east coast time for a blizzard! "With wind speeds of 30 to 40 mph, and gusts of up to 55 mph, there could be whiteout conditions." Even the EAGLES game is canceled!! I don't want a whiteout, but I really don't want a Blackout!

Joe,

Hopefully this message finds you. I was poking around on the internet when I came across two amazing tracks of yours I have never heard. They are titled "Talk to Me" and "untitled" or "heart of the sun". I really think you should redo both of these or put them on some kind of release. These are two great songs I had never heard. Maybe a Joe Satriani rarities CD is a good idea. I have been a fan of yours since the Extremist when I was 12 and have just about every song of yours. When I heard these I was amazed. I think every Satch fan who's never heard these would love to add them to their collection.
