Two Shay, thanks for asking. Nothing new on the memory front. We've moved on to just getting letting go of old habits and things of that nature. (mainly me) Because whenever I start a sentence with "You used to" like, dislike etc., the reply is the same. Well I don't remember so I don't know. Whenever we feel resentments coming on, we have to communicate with each other openly. I could go on and on, but It's a new year.

Happy New Year Joe, lookin forward to seeing you again in Oakland and Reno :) Safe travels on the next leg of your tour, break a leg!!

Oh, and just so you know, my lifesize "cardboard Joe" from your mini colossal amp display....now resides over in Chris's new apartment, lol! Prominently displayed in his living room, along with his home theater stuffs....his 2nd bedroom is set up as his studio and he's been playing a lot lately, trying out his hand at writing. Came up with a really cool Spanish-sounding song on the acoustic yesterday, and says he's been working on stuff from your lesson with him :) He's pretty darn happy! And that, of course, makes mom happy :) But I do miss my cardboard Joe, LOL!!!

Hello Mr. Satriani,

My name is Sarah and I play electric, acoustic, mando, bass and keys. I am 12 and perform original music with my sister Charlotte. She is 15. We just booked Hard Rock in Seattle and Nashville Bluebird on April 10th. We love performing but my favourite part is learning riffs and scales so I can solo onstage! I do everything from mando solo's to shredding with my 72 fender american strat. My goal is to show that girls can rock it out too!

We are coming to see you on the 4th in Edmonton! Can NOT wait!

Happy New Year!!!

...And a question about pickups!

I have an Ibanez S570B (H-S-H). I want to put better pickups in it.

I like the sound of these 3 a lot:

Neck: Fred, "F" spaced - Middle: Cruiser Bridge - Bridge: Tone Zone, "F" spaced -

Would they sound good in my guitar???

Knowing that it has a thin and light mahogany body, is it going to sound "thin" ???

Have a good evening!

em hmmmm!.Rotax must have called!.my mom took care of me for them. Now I seriously might be buying abrand new ski-doo hey joe.I been looking for a couple years .This is importtant man p unlintine puninlin or what you want to call it .I invented this for them when I was alittle kid man it,s called r.a.ve. R.A.V.E. rotax adjustable variable exhaust. the reason why it,s putelin is because you dont have to touch it joe you here me the rave valve makes extra horsepower it opens and closes the exhaust with revloutions per minute RPM so shes constantly just exploding full compression man unlike my old rotax with just a regualr export and tuned pipe ,the rave goes into atuned pipe silencer combo.Rave was the first exaust port modifier in the world other foreinghn companys jappnese other companys have their own but their 9-11% efective as the rave I invented it when I was about 11 years old I still dont have anything with the rave valves i inveted on it I do own roatx and their good people their they paid me .The actaul first engine rave was ever on was in the 1995 atk 250 260 liquid cooled rotaqx powered dirtbkes thats why i invented it then developed it into other engines like the snowmbile and stuff. Now april is spring break for ski-doo my guy said 500 deposit to order I wont have the total amount saved by them.I plan on paying full and in cash and in person and haveing dunfords of havelock delievr it here this wouldnt be until the begining of next winter .real nice on their this model i have been watching closel 600 2 stroke ROTAX R.A.VE. carbuerated mxz t`nt.Sure i could go to the bank but why not just continue saveing that way i dont have to deposit into my saveings with my mom anyways this is real she has to be a rotax nothing else will make it to where i need to go Maybe yamha thought about yamha i own it hey man but this rave thing is important to me anyways you bet this is real. it,s either a new sled or build or buy ahouse wolfie new sled possible deffinetly wolf2.

Hi Scubadaz!

Tonally, what do I want... ???

First of all, I don't want anything too heavy-metal! The heaviest I'd want would be in the style of Satch, Vai, Andy Thimmons, Alex Hutchins, ...etc, types of distortion.

I like melodic music. I like to play clean a lot, but want something different from the "quack" of a Strat, the "Twang" of a Tele and the cleans/crunch sounds of an ES-335.

I want fluid modern sounds for a light, comfortable and ergonomic guitar that is back friendly. Cristal clear cleans, ambient sounds, nice crunch tones not as bassy as a Les Paul, nice lead tones with loads of sustain... similar to what I hear from the guitarists mentionned above!

My amps:

-Hugues & Kettner Edition Tube 25th anniversary -Laney Cub 10 -Vox Pathfinder 15R -Fender Mustang I

Pedals:

-Radial Tonebone Trimode //when the toggle switch does work! :( -EHX English Muff'n -EHX Black Finger compressor - MXR GT-OD - Modulation single effect pedals... and/or a Boss ME-25

Guitars:

-Fender Classic Player '60s with Vintage Noiseless p-u. -Tele with NoiseFree p-u from Wilde/ Bill & Becky Lawrence. -Es-335 clone (by Crafter)

It's hawkward - to describe a sound, and English isn't my first language, it's French - but this is the best I can do to describe what I want... ;-)

Quick questions.

we have the Club Joe tickets for Tuesday night in Edmonton. I am assuming by the description cameras are allowed. Are there any limitations on cameras some other artists shows I have been to It has been posted cameras are allowed but then venue security won't allow you in.

Also is there an opening band? if so who is it??

Thanks!! Looking forward to seeing Joe. last show I saw with him was Flying in a Blue Dream tour. Been way too long!!

Questions about guitar necks...

I'm wondering:

How the distance between the frets on the neck is calculated to build a guitar???

When we fret the strings, we don't get the "perfect" frequency of the notes we are playing. It's always a bit sharp or a bit flat... That makes me wonder if more accurate necks can be built or, in other words, can a guitar neck be inaccurate???

I woke up this moring with these questions in mind!!

Quote: "choclati:-don`t know whether you`ve tried using this little tool on the dimarzio site

also to get a more varied opinion try posting on the ultimate guitar forums.....just copy and paste what you`ve said here into a new thread in the guitar gear and accesories sub forum. (just watch out for the idiots, but you will get some good advice from the majority of peeps.

personally i think the tone zone is the wrong choice after hearing the audio samples on the dimazio site, maybe a evo2 might be a better choice, get some more opinions first though."

scubadaz, I think I would be happy with either the Evo 2 or the Tone Zone... I like them both! ;))

I think I'll do what you suggested me: I'll post the question on the Ultimate Guitar Form!

I tried the "Pickup Picker" tool but still, it's not like hearing a demo! I'm listening to all the clips/videos I can find to help me take my decision!!

Have a good day!

@Fuzzball,

Thank's!

But... Why 1/16th instead of 1/12th ???

edit: I think I found the answer.

I think it's 1/16 of "delta" scale lenght which must be the same of 1/12th of scale lenght...
