Joe, i dont really know if you read the messages or its someone else, nevermind. I just want to say that you itself, are awesome and well, i can adulat you all the message long, but im not writting for that.

Joe im mexican and i am very happy because you are coming to mexico city en 2011, but, you know mexico city its not the only big city in our country, maybe its more interesting due to it is the capital of my country, but i was wondering if you, or your manager are planning to visit Monterrey or Guadalajara. Im from monterrey and have to tell you that you have a Very big amount of fans here that are just dreaming of seeing you in on stage !

maybe this is not a worthy mail, but i have to take all of my chances if i want to see you here

IT WOULD BE JUST AWESOME

i hope you read this, Joe, and please, one concert here in monterrey its all we are wanting since ever !

keep your musical ideas flowing, a few of the guys that i know say that you are not the same satriani, i dont know what they want, im very happy with you new work, they are right, you are not the same satriani, but, somehow, you still have that esensse that makes you unique, you still blowing our minds and you still blowing our minds to the confines of reality, and thats the satriani we love to hear.

(im mexican, so, sorry for the bad english)

Wow that was an amazing concert!!!!!!

Didint see Davy Knowles on stage unless I must have missed it.

Joe was on fire as usual. New songs sounded great, old songs sounderd even better.

No The Golden Room BOOOO!!!!!

Got to meet Joes manager and Merch Manager...

Souvenirs where expensive (got an aoutographed poster, decently priced)

2 Bigest problems

1) The majority of the people toward the back (where I was) didnt know the material (people were sitting down, seemed uninterested) I was waving my hand in time to every note. But sometimes I swear (I was 1 of maybe 2 African Americans [Latinos] there. There were way more Latinos than African American, good to see some diversity) there. you Caucasians make me feel like I'm in night of the living dead with how unresponsive to the music some of you are. People in the front kept it going the whole time. Next time I'm going Club Joe. This is like my 7th Joe concert but I swear I had more enthusiasm than most of the people where I was at.

2) Too damn far away for me to get any good pics. I have about 2 good pics that came out; one of them is a clear shit the other one, something wierd happened with the space time continuum adn it came out with this wierd blury trail effect. It would make a good T-shirt/poster/album cover lol.

I really didnt know how to work the camera (the flash really) so I had to leave it on intelligent shoot. This caused about a second delay when pressing the shutter button to actual snapping of the picture lol. I totally didnt know how to work the video part of it. by time I figures it out it would be past the beginning of the song. I got some shredding in there though, I think. THe camera also aoutomatically had aouto shut off and I didnt know how to take it off so that prevented the capturing of a lot of potentially good shots.

But all together a good show. I would have paid the money twice over to see it.

I wil try to post those pics as soon as I figure out how to work this camera better.

Not a review, just my experience...

Peace

Forgot to mention, some Club Joe cats made a banner on a sheet, with the Surfing With The Alien, Silver Surfer on it. Joe held it up at the end of the concert.

That was cool

THEY'RE COMING TO GET YOU BARBARA!!!

Oh Finally, When I did eventually figure out how to half way work the vid on the cam I had a problem trying to stand still, I kept wanting to dance to the music lol. So that as well was a deterrent to getting any good vid. HA HA !!!

Hey I started playing guitar in 1991 !!! was 11 years old. My parents bought me a used wannabe Les Paul that played like shit, and a Peavy solid state 10 watt amp.

That damned guitar. The action was so high, you would swear I was playing Eric Sardinas' guitar. The tail piece on that was so high...And it had a warped neck lol...The amp worked well until it got a short in the power chord. But I had people (rich kids) with tubes jealous of my tone. Didnt know how to make actual music on it though lol

But that's what I learned on...

Then being left handed and having to learn the opposite way was a challenge as well. It didnt dawn on me to flip the guitar over and string it the other way. I must have forgotten all about Jimi. But I guess I wanted a challenge as well. Plus I knew that If I learned from somebody, chances are they would be playing the "proper" way. I never til this day learned from anybody. Well mabe studying joes phrases by ear didi a lot of bit for me.

But anyways, on Christmas, I make 19 years of playing...

I must be super geeked from that concert.

I remember when I was a kid and sitting in front of the TV with my guitar, and amp (cerca '91 '92) waiting for this old school Sony comercial to come on. Let me see if they have it on youtube...

I didnt know the name of the song then but I use to say to myself whatever this song is, its my favorite song. And I would try to copy the main theme on my rinky-dink foogazy ass guitar.

This was before the internet was popular. "You damn whipper snappers with your 8 track music boxes"

Anyways, Come to find out it was Summer Song

Here is the commercial

That's so funny it's advertizing portablle CD players and boomboxes. So old school. Now its all about those young Ipods and MP3s...

So wow I was a Joe fan and didnt even know it in '91 '92. (the one they played on my TV didnt have who it was by on it)*poops his collar and dusts off shoulder* lol

Just checked it out...The extremist came out in '92 so I was a fan in '92.

Gotta Have Joe

let me say to not sound like a stalker but I remember your first post on here somewhere between '05 and '07 (I think). I remember you where like 13 and I was like who's this N00b lol but seems like you are becoming a fine young woman and have a fine taste in Music.

But yeah, does that mean we are ambidextrous.? I open jars with my right, use scissors. and not like I have a choice, but take pictures with my right as well. I started practivcing writing with my right and so far I've learned to do simple shapes with it, circles and triangles lol

Uh Oh don't make me bust out with the Micheal Angelo Batio lol

Joe,

I was in the Meet and Greet at the Filmore in Detroit Thursday Dec. 16. Someone posted my "God is Crying" video from YouTube to satriani.com and you posted it to your Twitter account. I just wanted to thank you for that and I am very pleased that you liked it enough to post it. I also took lots of still pictures at the show. If you are interested, please contact me and I will forward some to you. Again, thanks for your post and, as always, for your great music.
