Does anyone know what inspired Joe & Crew to schedule a road trip across the Great White North in the dead of winter?

Yeah can't remember the reason behind it, at least the venues are seated so no waiting around in the weather i guess

the EU tour was a good time, didn't even bring a jacket to the show!

Joe, I have always loved your music and had the chance to catch your show in Greensburg Pennsylvania in December. I have to tell you that I was very disappointed with the play set and the sound system. While I like the new album, I think the majority of people who go to your shows expect to hear some of the songs that made you what your are today. Didn't happen. Also, get a new sound man...the amps were so overdriven the sound was terribly distorted. I love you man but do not see laying out the cash to catch your next show unless I know the set. BT

Yes most of Queensland is under water at the moment, terrible situation. A couple of people died when washed away in their cars trying to drive through it apparently.

It will take weeks to subside.

Kayla - have a great time at the show, hope you get to meet Joe and give him a big double-hug from me when you do - that way you can give him 2 hugs :-)

Just got an email from fanfire to go through meet and greet purchase process (at $0). This is for the Portland gig. Anybody get the same email? I hope it leads to another email soon that tells me where and when to meet up for the momentus event.

Also, what time have most meet and greets been starting?

Thanks,

wow!!! I can't believe it's been 25 years since Ireland's greatest musical genius passed away!!! I had the enormous pleasure of seeing Thin Lizzy play live on the steps of the Sydney Opera House in 1978 with Gary Moore on guitar.I have the concert footage on DVD and everytime I watch it,it's like I'm transported back in time and I feel like i'm right there all over again. To hear them on radio/tv is one thing, but to see them live was absolutely amazing!!! Phil was just an awesomely charasmatic presence to behold and it is something I will never forget.

RIP PHIL LYNOTT. You may be gone but you're not forgotten!!!

Hmmm, I can agree that some of his lyrics/poetry were inspired and I suppose that opinion on whether something is genius or not is subjective. However, I still cannot think of him as a musical genius. But that's just me and my opinion.

Hi Joe..

I have sad news, glad news and a request

SAD

I had a call on the 22nd December to say paramedics were called to my mum, I drove over and spent the day with her in hospital but at 9.30pm she died.

I always thought I could never cope with someone dying or seeing a dead body, but you know what, having been with her for the day, seen her struggling with the nurses and the faraway look in her eyes...hearing her only words of the day "please just let me die" ... that was hard although we reassured her she was in the right place etc...when I saw her dead...it was almost a relief for her...i think she was sturggling because she didn't want treatment...she just wanted to give up on life as she could hardly see and had lost her partner two years previous and could hardly walk around...she had had enough.

R.I.P mum

GLAD NEWS

Dave Walker who I met on this very site 3 years ago asked me to marry him!

We hope to get married at the end of May.

REQUEST

Will you come play guitar at our wedding?

If you cant come, what tune would you choose for us to play, because we just can't make up our minds!

Hope everyone here has a great 2011 and who knows you may like me, meet the love of your life here!

Hugs Satriella xx
