Went to the show in Kansas City last night and like always it was awesome. I took my two great-nephews, 12 and 14, to their first rock concert and they were blown away. I am now the coolest great-aunt on the planet!
Personally, I just love watching someone so extremely talented who obviously loves what they do. Thanks for sharing with the rest of us mere mortals.

Thanks for all the congratulations.....my grandson was born around 9.30 pm last eve. a very long labor but mother & child are both doing great...... a lovely sight to see :-)
But in other news...my 18 year old son has contracted a nasty staph bug from the wrestling mats (most likely) affected a good portion of his right arm. I t came on quickly & is slow to respond IV antibiotics...... very worrisome..... I hope the meds start showing some improvement soon.

Here is Dream Song again from Chicago.
Hope it plays. I uploaded it to Photobucket but that little progress bar got stuck at 29% but when I went to my album, the vid was there. That might be the reason why it doesnt want to play right.
I tried to fix the other one too. Hopefully one of them works.

Snow is getting outa hand here, its about a foot deep outside now, the place is in chaos!, no bus's or planes till tomorrow morning, trains are ok, and traffic is nuts, its madness!
record lows of -17 in some places last night, worst snow in decades, kinda like it though, i havn't seen the sun in about 3 days though, i miss that vitamin d
other than that, internet is still screwed up!

Good afternoon my main man!,. how are we today?did you hear something? youres, anyways im not doing too much man still recooprerating from my rideing like a week ago were getting better slowly but shurely today wokeup!,had a kilebassa toasted sandwich and a glass of weider 90% protein some coffees then i had peanut and well not quite toast and not quite bread put 2 slices of bread in the toaster was too hungry had to pop her up it was warm bread still white peanutbutterized it and ate it.Tonight im haveing 2 homemade hamburgers nio buns on a place with a flavoured rice sidedish with some vgetables smaller turkey this year this one fits in my roasting pan perfectly! im always blowing police officers head off around here you should have seen these magets ille go get him he got out of his car some nigro breed blew his foucking head wright of 1/3 punch the other car blew his head off the other car blew his head off back to reality ! dont owe ! Own! thats all anyways oh yeah man the pigs are so stupid strong pleae! you know what I mean if shit was brains they wouldnt put up an aroma! hahaha! 21.99 for a big conatiner of 90% weider protein mix at shoppers drug mart cmha meeting not until tommorow now then after that 3 weeks this place is delnoinik hey man likeif it dont kill you it will make you stronger type shit! it,s good for you people with schizophrenia myself without being the stronget man in the world with schiozphrenia at 34 im suppose to be 54x stronger then any male in the population in the country etc etc everyone has a quote thats mine anyways moms makeing supper e nd o the moth my dissabilty willbe here between no frill,s top dollar the bargain shop i can sort of live on 1053.00 a month thats all lately just checky the body is all i do realy man stay strong and healthy may realy be quitting smokeing i cant be dumping 300 bucks on smoke man plus their all natural tobbacco so i need to save coin ! so maybe really not smoking in amonth wheni run out! anyways supper sis cookeing later wolf2.

Going to the show tonight at the Paramount Theater in Denver. This theater is old I saw the movie "Little Big Man" here when I was 14 or so. I saw Joe Satriani here when he was touring for the Flying In A Blue Dream album. May have been the same year I saw Jeff Beck and Stevie Ray Vaughan at the now destroyed McNichols sports arena. I saw Joe again at the Fillmore for the G3 tour with Vai and Malmstien, its been a while since I've seen a decent guitarist again. I love the new Black Swan album it has some really good stuff. I look forward to the live show with the keyboards. I want to see how Joe interacts and mind melds with the other musicians. The keys sound nice and clean on the album which helps the guitar sound crisp otherwise I get the two mixed up live. I am a little deaf in certain frequencies but Ive been playing gigs for 33 years now so... Anyway I hope it rocks out good and as always hope he finishes with something like Flying In A Blue Dream. See ya there I got orchestra center right behind the sound box. yay!

Excellent show in KC last night. The new album is even better when its in person. I especially loved "Wind in the Trees" and "Light Years Away". Been searching the web for local media reviews, but've been unsuccessful so far. The show-buzz is probably still writer's-blocking some. Hey listen y'all, let's bring Joe back to the Show-Me State. If'n there was a better picker strummin & jamin in these parts, he came from space too!

In the interest of saving money I would probably get the VK112 if I were to switch out amps. For now, though, things seem to be sounding ok with the Raven. My only gripe is that it doesn't have a presence buffer on the effects loop, otherwise it seems to be a pretty decent amp for the money.

OK,
Kansas City. made the 3 + hour drive back home after last night's KC Joe show. Anyone who reads T2J knows how jacked up I was prior to the show. I was at about an 11. I had never been to this venue so i didn't know what to expect. Doors were 630 and we got there at 645. Chicago Joe shows were always a complete zoo so I was surprised to find the lobby here almost empty. They had one small folding merch table as you enter but the selection was pretty slim ...The theater itself was pretty damn cool looking and is an old time renovated theater kinda resembling a mini Chicago HOB. I think I have slightly diff perspective on a Joe show seeing as how the last one i saw was 2000/EOC. That show was amazing and basically can be heard note for note on the Live in San Fran disc we all have. But that said, i dunno, I came away from last night only half excited and sadly much of the performance just didn't get me movin much at all. I don't know if it was because it was almost the end of this leg of the tour or what but the whole night had a rushed feeling to it and I almost felt as if the theater staff/security weren't all that happy/or prepared to have Joe. I was only 11 rows back but the acoustics were awful and really ruined the show for me. The biggest issue was the bands sound/tone was washed out by some kind of overlying...noise is all I can describe it as. You could hear the basic tune of the song but all the intricate nuance of Joe's work was totally washed out. We got the same setlist as Chicago and on WITT the sustainiac reverb was basically nonexistent. You lose that and the song kinda falls apart. Basically any song that had high notes like memories, Revelation, Crystal Planet, Premonition, etc. was reduced to mid tone drones. Any song with a dirtier tone like Hordes and War came off well as the setup seemed to favor that sound. Joe was trying his ass off but I think even he knew the theater was screwed up. At one point, after a song Mike Manning came out and tried to adjust Joe's setup, they bodied up to one another and joe turned his head at mike as if to say get away, mike kept fiddling with the guitar and joe( seemingly embarrassed) turned to the crowd and said : Say hello to Mike everyone! lol The whole crowd did and mike gave up on whatever he was trying to fix and walked off. But I mean there were probs all night with setup. During BBM joe walked up to the mic and tried to sing and nothing came out! So he turned towards the band saying something i think, and they played through the intro notes again without stopping. Then he came back to the mic and finally it worked. Its just too bad things weren't right. The show was nowhere near as polished as the CP tour or the EOC tour and honestly i was looking forward to hearing the new songs but the setlist has them all mixed in and I think they should be up front more prominently. Its the BSAWW tour right?! Maybe I'm just messed up but i always remember Joe's live sound to be as good or better than the CD so i really don't know what to think about last night except to say things were rushed and the theater setup was jacked up. Had a few run-ins with security: Me: Can we move to better seats if they're open? Scrty: sure. Then we're about to and they're like: people paid good money for those seats so go back. I'm like: I paid good money too! and 5 rows were completely empty! wth? after the show a bunch of us went down to the stage during tear down and they started some bs about we're kickin everyone out NOW! lol It was a weeknight, but c'mon it was only like 10:40.... I got more stories & a boatload full of pretty decent pics of Joe I'm gonna try to put up as a gallery link somewhere, but i gotta sort through em.
Michelle You were right on about scrty and cams too. The guy in the row in front of us filmed almost the entire damn show and no one cared. So that'll probly be on YT soon. lol Of course it'll be interesting to see what quality it is!

Even though we werent able to see the LUNAR eclipse this morning :-l that did truly suck. Go figure....when it DOES rain here it has to ruin a stellar Eclipse and of course one such as this one :-O
