You've done it again, great new album, Pyrrhic Victoria is my new favorite track!!! Professor Satchafunkilus hit the shelf when I was in Iraq and really brightened my tour, it wasn't long after that I got my wife hooked on your music. I've been listening to you since I was 7, when my uncle gave me Surfing with the Alien. You are the most constistent artist in my collection. I thank you for what you do!

Just wanted to say hi to everyone as I am new. I saw the Calgary concert and it was amazing. The crowd was very quite though and did not respond as I thought they would. I think we were all so amazed it blew the Metallica concert away that was in 08. So Joe hats off to you it was a great show and my son has now started playing guitar! I have being playing on and off for a long time but this has motivated me to get serious. Any chance of making a travel JS guitar little saturator would be awesome you would sell lots.

Hey Joe! Just wanted to let you know I came across a female hip hop artist's song whose melody in my opion sounds just like the melody for your song "Always with me,always with you". Check out Nicki Minaj "right through me". I'm not a hip hop fan but I'm recovering from surgery and out of work right now and was fliping through some of the music video channels and in 5 second's I thought hey that's from Joe's song! I wonder if he's heard it? If you get the chance, check it out. Take care and keep up the great music!

Joe. I'm a guitarist and volunteer with a local (Scottish) kids music project. We are just getting to the "song writing" and recording stage. One of the tracks worked up has a phrase (5 notes) similar to a phrase from Not of this Earth - by accident rather than by design. The kid involved (who is properly decent) joked we just need to check it out with Mr Satriani - so with good heart, here we are. In case you pick up, the question is "how close is too close?" We want to keep the guys on the right side of copyright and who knows maybe in years to come their tunes will be part of the stream of consciusness. Advice welcome

Mahavishnu - Nothin personal against Galen I would have called out any of them. There are always good and bad night but I as a performer part of your job is to perform and he just wasn't pullin his weight. Still enjoyed the show though!

THANK YOU! Tracie, Chris and Mc for helping make a good day one of my best! Steve and I were waiting in line to get in the theater (after getting our tickets at will call) and I saw Tracie and AL! I went over and finally met Alan McKenna! Hugs and spreading the love followed. Wow! Later Al gave me one of his CDs! A happy new year gift.....Thanks, man. ;-)

JOE--THANK YOU and Jeff and Mike and Allen for a wonderfully fun night! The beauty of the songs from the past and BSAWW album filled the theater with energy, joy and love.

What a night! I'm still floating in a BLUE DREAM and taking a walk on LITTLEWORTH LANE! Life is good!

SAMMY HAGAR Joins JOE SATRIANI On Stage In Oakland (Video) - Jan. 14, 2011 Sammy Hagar joined his CHICKENFOOT bandmate Joe Satriani on stage last night (Thursday, January 13) during Satriani's headlining concert at the Fox Theatre in Oakland, California to perform two songs — "Foxy Lady" and "Going Down". Video footage of Hagar's appearance can be viewed below (courtesy of Eliseo Soto).

Smith recently confirmed that he won't tour with CHICKENFOOT this year in support of the band's second album due to scheduling conflicts with his main group, the RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS.

Although Smith plans on taking part in the recording sessions for CHICKENFOOT's second album, he will be enable to go on the road with the rest of the band — Hagar, Michael Anthony and Satriani — because RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS will be touring in support of their long-awaited new album.

CHICKENFOOT's self-titled debut disc came out in June 2009 and was certified gold for sales of more than 500,000 copies.
