That 50 greatest riffs list leaves a lot to be desired, but I'm rockin' the shit out of some of those tunes right now :-) LOL!

#25 'Sing a Simple Song' Sly and the Family Stone (1968)

Man I love that tune!

Peace Lily n Civgeek..no big deal , I just like Galen.

The show in Reno was off the chart cuz so many of us were there!! What were the odds of us all getting tickets for the 3rd row pit aa buying the tickets from three different states....it is incredible.

Joe and company , thanks for the memories....

I will share my pics soon.

Joe Satriani at the Limelight, 1987 Have we already seen this?? It was posted in Sept 2010, but I don't remember ever catching this vid...fun to watch again even if so.

JJ and Mc are at the show in LA right now, Joe is prolly close to going onstage....I know they'll have a fantastic time!

Brian, can't wait for your pics, they're always so good. I'll prolly get mine up tomorrow as well, we'll see.

Mostly tonight is devoted to being in my own bed for the first time in a week....dunno how Joe manages with his touring schedule. A person can do anything if they want or have to for however long it takes and get by, but yer own bed just can't be beat. Plus now I won't have to listen to any snoring...if I snore, I wouldn't know and it doesn't bother me :)

Hi. I am new here. My son's(7 years old) first concert Jan 9 in Spokane WA. We drove down from our little mountain village of Kimberley B.C. to witness the show. I felt good knowing the music would be great learning experience for a youngster. I love the new line up and sound and the improv that takes place with the new stuff. Thanks for keeping Campo in the line up. He is really showing his style and that works wonders for the new approach. Thank you Spokane. The Bing Crosby Theater is cool. And to the snow gods. Thanks for the wicked year! Satch. Check out the Kootenays in British Columbia next time you go riding..the snow is HUGE!

Finally made it back from Nevada about an hour ago. Like Tracie, I am looking forward to sleeping in my own bed tonight! Although I do pretty well on the road thanks to Ambien, lol. I've been taking it every night for about 3 years now, but there is no plan for me to come off of it, so I'm not too worried about it. Same applies to the basket-full of other meds that I take. I wouldn't be too well off if it weren't for those, but indeed some doctors do simply see you, write you a script, and send you on your way. It's all about establishing a good relationship with a good doctor.
Aaaaaaannnyway....

Part of me kind of didn't want to come back. The weather was SOO nice in Reno, and we went to Tahoe today and had lunch at the Cabo Wabo. Now it's back to Boise with rain and upper 30's..

I'll try to get my pics from Spokane and Reno sorted and posted tomorrow. Unfortunately my attempt at a "bootleg" of the Spokane show failed miserably, so that went straight to the recycle bin. Thinking about investing in a Zoom H2 Handy Recorder or something similar for that purpose.

JOE! Thank you for such an awesome show last night and for signing my psychedelic guitar. If you want me to find you one, I'd be glad to peruse the net and get you the hookup on your very own trip-tastic guitar too! I'm sure the dude I got it from makes the JS model shape if you wanna keep your guitar rig uniform lol. I know you had a busy night with meet and greet VIP's and I just wanted to say thank you for the extra 5 minutes you spent with a couple of fans that were not able to snag VIP passes. Herman Li was at the show too and was awesome enough to pass some mojo on to the guitar body as well as Mike Keneally!

Cheers and keep rockin' in the free world!

-Kenny

Last nigts LA show was killer!!! Joe you were just on Fire last night!!! My very first Satch show and from the 2nd row to see those magic fingers that close up fly across that fret board the most amazing 2 hours i have ever experienced in a live show ever!!!!. Because your such a phenomenally gifted and beautiful guitarist, words do not convey the feeling!! Beautiful!! The end of the show was fantastic in that finally the crowd stood up on their feet with "Big Bad Moon" and this time the tight ass security guards didn't say shit. Pardon the language, but the only thing that was a downer last night was the rigidness of audience ettiquete. I guess I failed, and the girl in front of me to the side in the 1st row. Sorry, but I coud of swore we were at a "Rock" concert. I was very ticked off to say the least. And this man had the nerve, the same man that was sitting in MY seat when I got there, taps me on the shoulder to tell me to sit down "i cant see" when Joe took the stage. I ignored him and stayed on my feet excited to see Joe. Then here comes Mr. Security guard to follow up. Wtf? And to the girl in front as well...seriously pissed me off. We werent there to see a freakin symphony!!! Is THAT how ALL Joe's shows are?? wow.... Anyways- besides that I had a fantastic time and AUSTIN so sorry I didnt see your email in time :( Would of been so nice. next time for sure :)

Im so excited. Joe told me that my fav The Golden Room wil be on the dvd coming out at least :-) I told him that I hope he's able to add it into the set list in the future and he goes "oh one of these days!" like he felt some frustration over it or something lol.... During the Q&A, he said some songs he just cant play live, meant to be only heard through your stereo at home :) I wonder then, how it will be included in the dvd if he hasnt played it live? A video maybe? or maybe they tried it once already live, during a filming, and he was dissatisfied with it... Interesting... If I can figure out how to post my pix here, i will post them :) The encore was simply amazing! All the guys in the band put down there instruments and clapped and cheered and got us all pumped up even further while Joe wailed away! I hope someone filmed that :) that was just awesome What a show!! Absolutely cannot wait to see Joe again with the Foot!!!

love you Joe!!!!! :)

lol.. I guess that didnt really come out how i though. LOL.... I just think that if I had more peeps I could go do more stuff. It wouldnt be anything fun to take a road trip by yourself not only that but as a young girl ALONE, it would be scary to stay in a different place your not familiar with in a big city.

Can't talk about campos style and taste enough. He really impressed. Very studio cool and jammin live with the "new" guys perfectly. The Rhodes sound and a pick on the bass...wow! I play Sonor and I have to say those DW's match perfectly with the Marshalls...nice gear Satch Band. I wish Camporelli spaghetti was lettin loose in the Foot band. Here's to big BASS drums!
