It kind of seems like posting on T2J eliminates any chance that you'll be drawn for an aftershow pass! 99% of the time, at least.

After much consideration, I think I am most looking forward to seeing Joe perform Why on Sunday night.

I've still got my fingers crossed for a miracle "Dog" to make an appearance at one of my shows, but I won't be disappointed at this point if he doesn't show up..

...Just listen,The HEAD is cut on the Formula.Well it has a decker raceing enetrprises engine it,s ported and polished cylinders as well. What doe a cut head do? you might ask! They drop your body cornes. What it means is it first it opens the brain it does that by incresing the speed of blood though your body so your brain is just blank everything except the first few running sounds of the engine the horspower is increased by 57,000 x the speeds of power they do keep and think memory the atk has a cut head as well well it,s a team aaen very same like it does the same thing .The cords of your body whic is what houses the veins open allowing the veins in the body to open so theirs no memory but the head has a pitient programe whic is where it meters and measures the ride and puts that in the vein .And that is how a CUT !! raceing cylinder head works! with time travel of 100% or better instant almost 100 out of 100 for the little ride you thought you had you been across the planet and you only took the same amount of time as the little ride. and that is the truth on how bothe My atk My formula mx work so their is nothing wrong with me yours wolf2.

Joe: I wanted to say that I really enjoyed your show in Edmonton at the Jubilee. I thought the audience was the most lame and comatose I'd ever had the misfortune of attending with, but that aside, you were brilliant as ever. (Galen actually had to motion the audience to stand while the band was performing Big Bad Moon, since it was the last song of the main set list) I hope the lackluster Edmonton crowd doesn't stop you from coming to Alberta again.

Jeeez I was embarrassed for all Alberta. There was a scary moment there when I wasn't sure if the crowd would even encore! Pathetic.

turbo236: not so...I got the nod on the Chickenfoot inaugural kickoff show in Seattle.

Why don't you mosey on over to Ticketmaster and purchase those two front row center Seattle tickets that have remained untouched all day? Idaho ain't that far of a drive...

Satriella-sorry about your mum. I was sitting right next to my mother when she passed so I know how you feel. My deepest sympathy to you and your family.

Congrats to you and your soon to be hubby. To me, the obvious song for the wedding is " The meaning of love ". I hope you're life together is as happy as any couple could wish for.

Satriella- I take that back. " the meaning of love " might be a little to rockin' for a wedding song. I say use whatever song touches you the most.

Ranjack- That's why I said 99%; I know there have been a couple of exceptions, but for the most part, every time I look on the road page, I have never heard of the pass winner.

Also, I'd love to go to Seattle, but I'm already doing Spokane and Reno, so I've blown my Joe budget for the year!

Ian

EDIT- It's at least a 12 hour drive to Seattle from here, and I'm already planning to drive to Reno, which is 8 hours, and flying to Spokane just a few days before; so, budget aside, two trips are enough for me.

Mr. Satriani,

I am 14 and have just released my debut guitar instrumental CD. I have been playing guitar for six years.

I know is is very bold to ask, but I would really be grateful for your opinion and critique.

Here is a pretty nice Limelight article written about my CD, too.

Kayla- I would love to do a third show!! Especially one with a backstage pass, but I spent that money on a plane ticket and hotel. I'll just keep holding out for that aftershow pass for my chance to meet Joe I suppose. I just really hope the weather holds out on Sunday so that my flight can land before the show. (Noon-ish). I'm not too concerned about getting back, just as long as I'm in Reno on the 14th!

It looks like Solitude has made it into the set the last couple shows at the expense of another full song. It's a beautiful piece but it's soooo short! I saw a couple shows without Pyrric Victoria and Revelation on the list. I guess in the end it doesn't matter what songs he plays, I'm gonna have a good time and in 2 days I won't remember a single song unless I write them down as he plays them, though I'll never forget Time Machine from JS 08 in Reno and I have a feeling Why will be the same this time around...

Speaking of Why... I got a Boss PS-6 Harmonist for Christmas... pretty neat little toy. I've been messing around with the sounds of "Why" for the last few days. It's no Super Harmony Machine, but it does a pretty good job. Also traded my amp in for a Bugera 22 watt tube amp. I was going to buy a Valveking but they didn't have any in stock and I didn't want to go home without an amp, found this little guy on the shelf and decided to give it a try. Haven't decided if I'm gonna keep it, yet.

Skippy, I absolutely LOVE The Oracle cd by Godsmack!! No matter how I'm feeling, when I hear a song from that cd it never fails to take my mood up a few notches. Godsmack is also great when I'm angry, because music is the best way to vent imo. Nooobody gets hurt. LOL! This one is fun too, but it's only on iTunes & on The Oracle DVD - Whiskey Hangover.

scubs,,,it's WHISKEY! :-)

I saw your concert on Jan. 6 in Kelowna Joe. You played briliantly as usual. But I have a couple nit picks if you'd care to hear them. Your back up band SUCKED big time!!!! It kinda diminished your greatness a bit to have such a lousy artist as a start to a great show. I even noticed when he played his first song his guitar was out of tune and was swapped for an in tune guitar for his next song....I hope you pick a better back up band for your next tour Joe. Maybe someone with a bit of class.

My next beef is the loudness level...It was way to freaking loud. It actually hurt my ears. I don't know how you can play night after night without getting hearing damage . I figure you might have mellowed a bit after all these years Joe and turned it down just a bit. This is the third time I've seen you in concert and I'm one of your biggest fans, but I must say this will be the last concert I go to. I really like your latest album and must have played it a million times already. I kinda noticed that it's a bit mellower than other albums and thought your concert would reflect that. But I was kinda dissapointed by the way you thrashed it on stage.

You're pushing 60 now Joe. Time to mellow out a bit. I think your fan base is getting older too and would like to see you mellow with dignity as you enter your golden years.

All that said I'm still your biggest fan and will continue to buy your albums and listen to your great music. Hats off Joe!!

Please ...JOE never mellow out.. ...rock till ya drop...

Whats not dignified about playing with passion?

I kinda wish Dave Martone was opening in Portland... but I've never heard Ned before so it's all good.

but then again everyone is entitled to their own opinion...just stating mine..

anyway..... :-)

Pushin' 60, so best just get out yer kazoo and sit on yer rocker for the next tour. That way...it won't be to loud and scary, and ya won't be moving to fast to upset anyone, k Joe?

It really makes me LAUGH how some people explain their version of these shows. 'Oh Joe, your my favorite guitarist ever, but everything about your show sucked, but I am your biggest fan!! Can I have my money back now? Love, your biggest fan since 1986! ps - I have all your records too, but please change everything about yourself and your show and come back to Bumfuck again soon. I miss you already!!'

Maybe if you go to a show without already having the script written and have an OPEN mind and some effin common sense earplugs, ya might have an almost decent time...but I doubt it.

JOE SATRIANI is better than he's ever been, and he and his band, no matter who's in the line up, kick ass harder with every tour! He's in better shape than most guys his age, and he's a gad damn musical genius!

Maybe the sound in the venue sucked? Maybe where you were sitting sucked? Maybe your mood that night sucked? Maybe the audience sucked? But definitely your expectations and resulting disappointment sucked!

Have I said to much? Gone to far> Yer damn straight I did. Who in their right mind would wanna change THIS!!

Rule #1 going to a Satriani show - EXPECT TO GET YER FACE ROCKED OFF!

You'll never be disappointed :-)

Sorry folks, I don't take it well when ppl piss on Joe.
