Joe and company rocked hard last night in Houston at the House of Blues. It was there last US concert before heading to Mexico and they were all in a good mood. That was my first concert at that facility and the sound was fantastic in that room. The extended jams were appreicated by the crowd. It appears that Joe will never run out of song ideas and or new riffs. I enjoyed Dream Song very much and Summer Song. Joe is better than ever I passed on the meet and greet this time but did it on the Super Colassal Tour and highluy recommend it at least once if you can afford it.

Joe:

I'm not sure how often you get to read these postings, but I wanted to drop you a note.

I've been a fan of your music from the beginning, and I have to say that I haven't enjoyed any of your albums more than "Black Swans and Wormhole Wizards" (ok, maybe Surfing with the Alien...)

The entire album is fantastic! Thanks for keeping a long-time fan happy, and keep up the good job...

BTW, I can't decide if "Light Years Away", or "Wormhole Wizards" is my favorite... I'll have to listen through it again...

Dear "satchmo", or "smokin" Joe. I'm a first time member on your website. I have been blessed with experiencing your soulful and groovy music for about half my life and I'm only 32. You are the greatest gift to the term "musician"! Your music is soulful and emotionally driving to my ears. Your ability to create music like you do flows into the soul! You are the best, and will always be my favorite musician! I pray one day before I'm gone I'm able to witness and experience a concert of yours! Thanks for opening up my ears to your music. "Wind in the trees" is beautiful. Rock on Joe and chickenfoot.

Been a while since I popped in here (more like ages...) but I thought I'd best pass on my congratulations on the AWESOME latest album. One of your best, Joe - it's up there with 'Crystal Planet' for me. I love how there's a bit more space for the other instruments to fill too!

So how is everyone else?

I attended the House of Blues show in Houston last night. Spectacular performances! I really like the way the Orange JS sounds - why is this not available for retail purchase? I have to admit that the best sounds came from the old Red 22-fret JS with the sustainiac. It seemed a little louder and/or more powerful than the JS2400's used last night.

Have fun in Mexico!

@Peace Lily- Interesting review. It's funny, because I just watch a video that Steve Vai uploaded like two days ago. It's called "How To Be Successful". It's really inspiring for guitarists who are having trouble pressing on or continuing in their practice. It's not just a time schedule thing, but more psychological. Focuing on your goal and not letting things get in the way. And the song he chose to play behind it(Whispering A Prayer) added a nice effect.

Here's the Link How to be successful-Steve Vai

I appreciate the comments constuctive or otherwise,as it helps me focus on becoming a better composer. With this particular tune, though, it was inspired after watching a youtube clip that a friend of mine had posted, and what you hear me playing is expressing exactly how I felt about my own lack of humility toward my fellow man. If I can find the clip again,i will post a link.

Cheers

Fatape, nice tune! I've been watching Oprah in Australia all week. What an amazing place! The scenery is soooo beautiful!! I actually had tears in my eyes a few times watching the reactions of the people to the beauty and natural wonders of Australia. The one thing that sticks in my head (besides the heart shaped coral reef) is a line Oprah asked - what makes Americans different than Australians.

Americans live to work, and Australians work to live. Family, friends, and fun first on the list.

That's what I'm effin talking about!! lol! I would LOVE for America to take on that attitude! Our vacation time from works sucks, our amount of sick days suck, our companies mentalities of 'work before family' sucks. We're overworked, over scheduled, overstressed, over stimulated with electronics, and a lot of kids are raising themselves.

Anyways, I absolutely loved seeing the sites of Australia. If i ever have a chance for a dream vacation, that would be very high on my list.

I guess for right now, Let's Dance!
