I've tried to find anyone doing a cover of Edgar Winter's "Frankenstein" - none to be found. Possibly because nobody could do it justice?

I tried to think off the one person I'd like to hear do it...

JOE!!!

so it's really weird to be having a texting conversation with my sister! When I joined this site I was 14 and she was 4. She will be 10 on the 28th of this month and it just blows me away! I still have the paper she wrote Joe's name on when she was that age! She was so upset to hear that my dad took his crazy gf's son instead of her! I tell ya if I had a way to have gotten her to spokane from belingham (spelling) I definitely would have taken her to meet Joe!

she is still a joe fan and I do believe she wil be for a long time!

Turbo----

Yeah, I heard the news....Ima fan of The Stripes :( and I love Jack White :)

I was going to see them in 2007 and then the big cancellation happened. And so....I will Never see them now. Really sucks, but......I will always go see Jack whenever he's in the area. Saw him with his last band "The Dead Weather" last year, they ripped the roof of that place! Jack came out with a bottle in hand, he was sloshed but sounded incredible as always. And so did Alisson Mosshart, that lady kicks ass big time.

Cheers!

oh yeah-------I heard Joe mention somewhere that one drummer he had in mind for CF was Tommy Lee. That would be killer.

Soo... Best Buy has the Satchurator for $99.99, but I don't believe I would qualify for the $30 mail-in rebate as they are not an authorized Vox dealer. Then I started thinking about which I would rather have (of the Satch pedals), and I'm starting to really consider the Ice 9. Though I'm honestly not unhappy with my SD-1, just seems that the Ice 9 would give me much more tonal control.

The DS-1, on the other hand, could stand to be replaced. But, of all the reviews I've read and the demo vids I've watched of the Satchurator, I don't think it's the right pedal for me. The Big Muff Pi with tone wicker is standing out at the moment.

Thoughts, anyone?

Turbo - I agree, it's always best to try everything in your price range before making a purchase. You might find something you love that you hadn't even considered before. That's what happened to me when I bought my amp - I was looking at an Orange and then when it had sold out on the big day, I tried a Vox and loved it.

the ice 9 would pair much nicer with the sd-1

ive a keeley ts9 and a fulldrive, both fantastic pedals but kinda would like something with a bit more bite sometimes, ice 9 and sd-1 would be a nice contrast together prob

finally forced to upgrade to the new MSN aka windows live, bill gates ruins it every year, its all his fault

got my internet half sorted here, have a 3g mobile phone network stick for the lappy, works suprisingly ok really, should have fixed wireless installed next week

I've decided that a lot of my birthday gifts from now on are going to be charity gifts. Water.org gives water for life to one person! The Southern Law Poverty Center is also a great place, as well as The American Red Cross or any soup kitchens or shelters in your area. Also Koko or any animal shelter is very cool. Noah's Wish is also a fantastic organization.

It's just the right thing to do. Giving in the name of someone that has what they need - or in memory of someone is pretty cool. The people & animals in need are always the ones that are forgotten.

Think about it.

I really love this comment from an interview Joe did

Q: Where do you come up with your album and song titles? A: Everyday life provides more inspiration than I have time to work off of. I think we all like to celebrate the good times, and we have to learn to deal with the bad times, and I think my music is all about that. There are ways to interpret them. Some are serious, and some are fun. I can daydream situations and turn them into songs that are good for your body and soul to help you forget about daily life. And other songs, I dwell on serious subjects. They definitely help me deal with those situations, and I suppose I spread those out with my fans. One of the things with instrumental music is you're not forcing people to hear your story through lyrics, and with an instrumental song, something that I could play to reflect a tragedy could be interpreted by someone else as a message of hope. That's the beauty of instrumental music. It can take people to different places.

It is so true JOE!!! YOUR MUSIC TAKES TO DIFFERENT PLACES!

Well, from what I heard we had good luck with the cyclone. No loss of life, and fairly localized damage. Amazing. And great news.

I sat down to play last night and after a bit it was getting late so I brought it down with all the tapping and acoustic stuff. Found some really nice tone all of a sudden and couldn't stop playing. Fantastic when you get those little surprises. Love my setup. Looking forward to trying your new Marshall head Joe, looks fun! :)

I like my LM6100 though!
