I appreciate the comments constuctive or otherwise,as it helps me focus on becoming a better composer. With this particular tune, though, it was inspired after watching a youtube clip that a friend of mine had posted, and what you hear me playing is expressing exactly how I felt about my own lack of humility toward my fellow man. If I can find the clip again,i will post a link.

Cheers

Fatape, nice tune! I've been watching Oprah in Australia all week. What an amazing place! The scenery is soooo beautiful!! I actually had tears in my eyes a few times watching the reactions of the people to the beauty and natural wonders of Australia. The one thing that sticks in my head (besides the heart shaped coral reef) is a line Oprah asked - what makes Americans different than Australians.

Americans live to work, and Australians work to live. Family, friends, and fun first on the list.

That's what I'm effin talking about!! lol! I would LOVE for America to take on that attitude! Our vacation time from works sucks, our amount of sick days suck, our companies mentalities of 'work before family' sucks. We're overworked, over scheduled, overstressed, over stimulated with electronics, and a lot of kids are raising themselves.

Anyways, I absolutely loved seeing the sites of Australia. If i ever have a chance for a dream vacation, that would be very high on my list.

I guess for right now, Let's Dance!

Hi JR, so Hawaii & Alaska - they like the way west coast! lol! Enjoy the flypaper feeling. lol! Good times I hope! We have no Joe B. in house yet. It's gonna be all new to us. JohnE has been pushing him for years. I'm thinking I'll be kicking myself for waiting, but it'll be cool to have something new to soak up.

Skippy, at this point, I'm thinking if Joe goes to Australia, he might not wanna come back! lol! Heard the flooding situation is still causing havoc. Such a shame. It's so massive it's just insane. Very sad.

Haven't seen this one before.

Gotta Have Joe: thanks for sharing the link to I Believe. My first Joe concert was during the Red Album tour, and they played this song. Get this they did acoustic set of The Phone Call, I Believe and Look My Way. Joe, Stu and John sat in the middle of the stage and thrilled us all.

I was at the show at the Granada Theater last Tuesday night - 2 1/2 hrs. of sonic fury!!

Does anybody have the set list from that show? I am looking for this one song and dont know the name of it. If you type in "Joe Satriani at the Granada Theater" on YouTube, he is playing it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hey all :)

I recently saw Joe back in October for the first time in Birmingham, UK. Wow. I was totally blown away, Joe has been my inspiration to keep on playing guitar everyday so if your reading this Joe. Thankyou!

What I wanted to ask is if anyone out there knows when the official tab book is being released? I've figured quite a few bits out by ear to keep myself ticking over, but daamn some of those solos are tricky. If anyone has any clue that'd be great I think cherry lane usually release Joe's tabs...

It seems theres a great community of fellow Joe fans here, so great to see others who appreciate his music, and on a final note I hope you keep rocking till your 101 Joe!

Peace Lily - I am not sure. On You Tube, the song comes up and he strums a few chords real slow, pauses, grabs a pick from the mic stand, then nods to the drummer (Jeff Capatelli) then starts the song. Someone recorded it from the crowd, from the right side of the stage. It might be from the new album. I'm not sure because I havent gotten it.

I'm looking for the complete set list also.

Much Thanks for the post.

The Ron- The clip begins with Solitude...then they play Littleworth Lane. Very beautiful... have not seen a set list for the Granada but I am guessing it has been the same songs at the last few shows.

I can't believe that I've only just discovered this song: Slow Down Blues

It's soooooo sooo fun to listen to! It's instantly become one of my favourite songs by Joe. I highly recommend that you all have a listen :)

I gotta say.. I can't help but get all goosebumpy and teary eyed whenever I see Joe play Littleworth Lane.. It's beautiful.

Which reminds me... It would appear that the miracle I was hoping for didn't come knocking :(.. Looks like I won't be flying to Mexico to see Joe any time soon.. :'(

Music soothes the savage beast! That's hilarious!!

Slow Down Blues is one of my favorites!

Craigy, yer Slow Down Blues link isn't working :-)

FYI- The average Amish man takes 18,245 steps a day, and the average Amish woman takes 14,196. Other Americans, by contrast, take about 5,000.

I know I walk more than 5,000, though nowhere near 14,000...I don't think anyways. lol!

Sittin' Round. Man, that's good for anything that ails ya! Absolutely love that cd!!

Thanks Craigy! I'm on a Satch youtube kick now! Hit a few songs from the self titled, then Crystal Planet, and now Strange Beautiful Music! lol! Listening to Belly Dancer now. This Joe guy is pretty good. lol!
