Wasn't the JS body design based on an original production model Ibanez guitar? I thought I read that in an Ibanez catalog a few years ago...

I would REALLY love to have a new guitar. I'm actually considering buying a new trem and some locking tuners for mine, just not sure I want to put the money into it. I've also considered the Super Vee double locking trem, but it is almost $300 and is backordered for at least 90 days.

If the JS1200 comes out in the new blue, I may save up my pennies and try to get one of those, or the Hendrix prototype guitar, as that one really appealed to me...

Did you know the man who invented the cats eyes in the middle of the road got the idea when he saw a a cats eyes reflecting in his headlights while he was driving at night. If the cat was facing the other way he would have invented the pencil sharpener.

thats a bit light to make that judgement .. have any been in the last couple years ? and gibsons are nothing like the copies or clones

here is what i would like you to do .. humour me .. next time at a music shop play a js , then grab an lp .. if you still think they sound the same .. great .. if not even better ..

I did a short piece yesterday, an instrumental with an Eastern sound (drums and bass more particularly). The lead work is done with a JS2400. I'm uncertain of the sound I would get with a 1200, never tried one, but I wanted to post this for those wondering about the 'balls' of the JS guitars relative to a strat. I do own a 79 strat, but typically don't use it for guitar work specifically... I have it rigged to a GR33 synth, for various other sounds, other than guitar.

death cube- Thanks for that little tidbit. As soon as I read your post I felt stupid for not remembering it was the Radius.

I've never even touched a JS guitar, let alone played one, so I can't comment on their sound. We only have one or two real guitar dealers in the area other than Guitar Center and nobody has ever had one in stock. Maybe if Ibanez pushes a new model this year GC will put one in the store and I can get a feel for it; I'm certainly not going to just blindly order one off the 'net.

Nice. I have so many pictures of Joe around my house, people think he's part of my family :-) A quick count and there's 10 framed pics in this room alone starting in 2000 at the EOC gig.. Funny when you really think about it. Good ol' uncle Joe. lol! Looking at that first picture with Joe, I remember I almost fainted afterward. LOL!

Great cd!
