Hello Joe Satriani! I am an 18 year old guitar player who has just recently been accepted into Berklee College of Music. I am a huge fan of your music. I have 10 questions for you. I understand if you dont see this message or are to busy to answer but i figured it was worth a try! Or if you feel you don't want to answer some! It would be an honor to receive advice from the musician i look up to the most. Thanks. Daniel

1.How do you let go of all judgments of your creations? Just let them be? 2.Do you follow any spiritual practices? 3.How do your melodies express so much feeling and emotion? 4.How do you take criticism? 5.How do you balance your music life and family life? 6.Is it difficult to work with certain musicians at times? For example, one who is constantly criticizing other artists works. Or even you're own. If so how do you get past this? 7.Which is more important: music education or a creative and free mind? Or maybe they are equally important? 8.When you write are you thinking about something in particular or do the ideas come and you follow them and eventually realize what they are about? 9.Do you ever dread practicing guitar? If not how do you approach it? 10.How do you keep creativity flowing and not allow other to stop or hurt it?

T2J "This section is sort of a free-for-all stream of consciousness that all registered members can post to." Being a newb, ( as a member, not to Joe's music ) I guess I foolishly assumed this was for people who had a common bond, with JOE and his music being the common denominator. Not for some 1,026 year old mentally challenged dude who lives with his mom and is of a certain Chinese descent that is known to be psycho and eats like 20 loaves of bread a month man and describe his shit pains caused by the vibration of his snowmobile etc. MICHELLE - You go girl !

I was just thinking the other day about how when I started posting here a couple years ago, wolfies posts were a little more few and far between than they are now. He seems to be stretching the limit on the free for all stream of consciousness that is this place. I can't make heads or tails of most of his posts, and it just makes it a pain in the ass to catch up on a few pages of new posts when every third post is from wolf2.

My point is that it would be nice to have a filter option, like Facebook for example, so that you can block certain people from your "news feed". That way, those of us that don't care to see his ramblings don't have to sort through them, and those that don't mind them can decipher them. And most importantly, nobody has to leave the forum!

Do we even know if wolf is a real person or not, or just a really committed person yanking everyone's chain. Or a computer?

Random EOC article. Probably hasn't been posted here in a few years; I stumbled across it yesterday while searching for Joe's "Borg Sex" setup. This led to the the ultimate birth of the "Borg Sex Octave Machine". How about it, Joe??

*EDIT- The author of that article, Matt Blackett, is now a familiar name in Guitar Player magazine.

scubz, take a pill man. Misdirect anger much? How many times have others come on here and said the same thing ferchristsake!

TN Joe, just skip the posts like 99.4% of us do. I did stand up when i read God Bless the Queen. lmao!

TurboIan, ya think ya have 27 posts to read, but really it's only 9 because the rest are jibberish nonsense. It would be a shame for Webby Jon to a put post limit on the site again for one person, but a warning to his personal email account would be lovely. As for who he is, it's a mystery if he indeed is a true gem of Canadian society, or just one of the fucktards from t2j who have nothing better to do with their time but act like a...a...a fucktard? Who knows?

Now will everyone please stand...sing along! My country 'tis of thee, sweet land of....well it fits right in there, now doesn't it!!

scubz, find me ONE person who doesn't know at least ONE person with mental health issues. That being said, it doesn't give that ONE person free reign to have a free for all and do whatever whenever. Anyways - lets move on...

Even Jim knew.
