Slan - Amomgst the serious stuff i suspect the muso travelling at the speed of light is slightly tongue in cheek, by the time the sound got fron his instrument to where his ears were the ears would be sometime in the middle of next week. Love you pushing the envelope a touch on the science front. The information is out there folks, ya just need to go looking.

Hello Everybody!
I ran my second race this year last Saturday, the 2nd Annual Kilt Run 5K, and yes, I did wear my kilt. It was a good turnout, they had about 364 that participated and I finished in 3rd place overall with a time of 18 minutes and 57 seconds, which I thought was really good 5K time to start off in 2011. I also finished 1st out of 34 in my age division. Here are the results.
I'll have another race coming up on the 26th, plus I was offered to go to Toledo, Ohio on April 17th for the Glass City Marathon, debating if I should do it or not, and I'll let you guys put in your two cents on that.
Prayers to the people in Japan and in the western part of the U.S. Some of my family (my Dad's side) has some friends of theirs that live in Japan. Hope they are okay.

no significant impact..........What would it take to be classified as significant impact ??? :(

Hey Joe,
I know you have a busy schedule but if you're ever in the New Orleans area come check out my recording studio. Plus, have you tried out the Peavey ReValver mkIII? I think it's one of the best plug ins around to put ideas together but it still doesn't beat having real amps and cabs miked.

Ah, great passage from Joe in that excellent article
Basically, I’m fascinated by the idea of wormholes. Think about the whole idea of crawling from one universe to another through a wormhole. We might never be able to do so in this lifetime, but maybe one day people will. I wish I could now. Getting from gig to gig would be a breeze!

Anibur - I fantasise that I can go through a wormhole and come out in another universe where I can PLAY like Joe Satriani! *sigh*.
Argh poor Japan. The images just get worse and worse. I think about the children terrified during that dreadful quake and tsunami and then struggling to stay safe until rescue comes, then possibly being subejct to radiation - jaysus.

My heart aches for Japan also ....I have thought many times since about how helpless the parents must feel trying to shield their children from these horrors to no avail. Its all beyond my comprehension....

Zen:Understanding science at least partially has been a lifelong hobby of mine in a bid too kill my ignorance..of course, its a fractal like music like women it,s not meant to be understood...doh
Two Shay:Sup Cappy..yea tongue in cheek of course although the Townsend Brown effect might stop you getting spread jam like by G force?¿ solutions are there but like most cutting edge science it ends up in the wrong hands

The worst case scenario i think we all know is meltdown and i really think in light of the recent news we best prepare for that news becoming reality.if one reactor goes theres a high possibility the others will as well thats 4 reactors from that one plant alone=4 chernobyle,s!! ...cant begin to think about the consequences, there are 55 operating reactors in Japan alone, whos going t control them if shit hits the fan? :S, this is a global problem, Hawaii, Canada and the west US coast would be first in line for a nasty surprise, although on that kind of scale noone on our lil blue ball would get off the hook
Japan's nuclear safety agency has said there is "no possibility" of a Chernobyl-style disaster at the Fukushima 1 plant, local media quotes national strategy minister Koichiro Genba as saying....
EH... what a Fuck-Knuckle of course theres a possibility! jaysus
