Axe- For a pedal that has been out no longer than the Ice 9, I'd say it's pretty dang good that it made it on any top list at all considering how many hundreds of options that you have when it comes to effects.
I'm sure this whole mess in Japan is going to throw a wrench into production of everything that we use that is made there. The Japanese get enough of my money from all of that, I'm not going to just hand it over for free. There are PLENTY of problems in our own country that need attention; too many to list, actually. Not to mention our government is writing checks that they can't cash; the U.S. can't afford to provide aid to anyone but ourselves right now.
The Japanese will recover just fine. We DESTROYED them in 1945 and killed almost 300,000 people and they are now one of the most successful countries in the world.
Just a few years ago, we had hurricane Katrina, which New Orleans is still trying to recover from, and last year was the oil spill in the Gulf, which has been all but forgotten about. Just a couple examples off the top of my head of problems here at home that still need our attention.
Sorry for the rant.

I'm sure a lot of donations and $$ came from abroad to help for those disasters that happened in the U.S. too. People of all nationalities and race have to pull together in times of crisis to help their fellow humans
This is a MASSIVE international disaster that could very well effect a very very large percentage of people in many ways... The repercussions could be on a massive scale... There's only a few days left before the search and rescue teams stop searching for people and start searching for bodies... Speed is very important and they need all the help they can get at the minute

Exactly right Scubadaz.
I didn't intend for my post to make me sound like I don't feel bad for what's going on over there, and I'm not one of those that feels like the Japanese had this coming because of Pearl Harbor; although there are some people living who probably do feel that way, and rightly so. However, I think everyone will agree that was settled long ago. I was just using that as an example that they can and have overcome huge obstacles in the past.
If you feel your money is best spent somewhere in Japan, then by all means send it over there. I think I was just a little aggravated that the words "charity" or "donate" never pop into many people's minds until something like this happens, and then the problems at your front door continue to go unnoticed.

Your American gas is almost 3 times cheaper than ours in Europe... Stop complaining 'bout it.
Insurance for a far less powered car in Ireland is probably double yours, and tax on an average car is about 130$ every 3 months
There is an edit button.
The cake is a lie.
On a brighter note, G.P is pretty cool. I love that cover myself!
+ Help Japan if you can.
I'm off to sleep, up playing Halo Reach all night. Just finished it on the hardest settings.... What a waste of time!
Libya is kickin' off too... Gayballs to it all.

In many parts of the world millions of people are dying in poverty from malnutrition, aids etc and the "big" countries (governments) are doing precious little to fix it. Basicly because they are not big producers of consumer goods. I have every sympathy for the Japanese people, some of whom count among my friends in what is a terrible time for them, but it doesn;t seem right to me to throw money at a rich country when millions are suffering on the 'dark continent' and other places on a far greater personal scale.
