Kayla - they sure are. I was thinking yesterday if it was me who had somehow managed to survive the tsunami (and my family) what would I do? There's no transport, power, food, water, heating or showers etc. There are some relief centres where people are sheltering but not much food or water and little sanitation.

I thought I would sift through the rubble and see if I could find running shoes that fit me, Mr. Skippy and the kids and I would just start walking out of there, just start walking on the road headed west away from the carnage (or south) and even if it took all day to walk 50km then I would be in another town or suburb by the end of the day and just see if a family could house us and we could presumably have a better chance at buying food, getting transport to friends etc.

I heard there are 550,000 people who need shelter and assistance. If they could move those people to other parts of Japan then maybe the world's biggest billet system to homes in Japan would be better than what they are putting up with now - snow FFS!

I posted this on Monday from what was given to the networks on Sunday night. This is what the authoritys wanted you to believe...

Japan's nuclear safety agency has said there is "no possibility" of a Chernobyl-style disaster at the Fukushima 1 plant, local media quotes national strategy minister Koichiro Genba as saying....

So much for that! Meltdown is happening and now there are little nuclear particles floating across t the US west coast...lying toerags..no surprise tho

Good post Michelle,Good on Marty Friedman, now theres a decent bloke!

Echelle : thx for JB's link. In fact, i don't know why Beck says that he has not modified the Strat. Coz he has. He has worked onto the elaboration of new single coil pickups set, has changed the top nut for a better used of the tremolo arm (it's built with small marbles to reduce the strings' friction), and his Strat gets tuning keys with blocking clockwork.

I also bet that his maëstra of the feedback required a specific wiring & shield, that a simple standard one doesn't get. I've got once a strat JB signature inside the hands. My statment is this one : signature series guitars are not the original model. They often get out of an industrial process, while the original guitars are between the hands of some personnal guitar tech.. the man behind the man, or the man inside the man..

Matt King : yeap, i know what you mean.. i personnaly get a very basic home studio.

Roy : Sure Sciences get a huge importance for our human life. But their crossroad is outrageous. Scientism is not for me. Old myths are too old for me. & relativism becomes absurd when it's the absolute space. So what? Music. Yeap. Music.

Zen:Science is fine so long as theorys are allowed to grow and evolve. Its when we take theorys as the truth we stagnate and die.One look at whats unfolding in Japan confirms that, we have clean technology, new science that would resolve all 3rd world energy problems, greed to control power geo-politically is far more important to the wealthy that saving a few million starving africans... i mean...pick a country

Roy : Behind every Sciences is one prob : the research financing, more interested by economic exploitation of the result, than by the result itself.

Japan? "They" are one of the more seismic country. Maybe the most. & "they" are one of the more nuclear country. I'm so sorry for all this poor people. But the current prob, the nuclear one, that concerns all the earth, now, & all the countries, is not the result of the seism. It's the result of their nuclear politic, despite of their geologic knowledge.

You know what, we get 3 nuclear reactors (14 reactors exactly) here, in France, at around 30 miles of my home. At around 400 miles of Barcelone. The 3 built over a seismic fault. So what?

Humanity is chasing his downfall. Oh, yeah, there's serious reasons to get the Blues.

Good Point... Kevin Dunn, in Tokyo, writes: "Why is the western media so focused on the non-event that Fukushima is? An expert on the Chernobyl aftermath on BBC tonight said, "nothing has been learnt from Chernobyl by the media", it's the same sensationalist, stress and anxiety inducing scaremongering. The lessons that have been learnt are in action now by Tepco power company. She says that they have done everything "by the book", and she "very much doubts" anyone will be seriously effected by the damage of the plants. The Fukushima nuclear power plant situation is not the disaster, the real disaster is further north where tens of thousands of men, women and children have died, millions are homeless, hundreds of kids are now orphans. We have made donations and hope to volunteer. The Japanese people need our help, not for us to run away and abandon them to their fate

@michelle- wow. That was a fail on my part. lol It's a good song to listen to either way, though. I occasionally confuse Scottish with Irish, even though I'm 30% Irish.
