I think John Entwistle was a far better bassist than I ever gave him credit for.

Hi Everyone.

Joe, thanks for the blue and sorry for the loss. RIP John Carter

Hope everyone is well, just the usual here.

Work has been a roller coaster at the Marriott. My boss walked out, plus two of our servers got terminated, so we're a little short-staffed, which is why I'm putting in more hours. More hours there would mean less time to run/condition/train. >:-/

I ran a 10K Race last Saturday. Won my age divsion and finished 7th out of about 300 overall. Had a time of 40 minutes and 36 seconds. Not one of my best times, but it was okay. It was really warm and it was a hilly course, plus the course was changed before the day of the race. I have another race this Saturday and it's a 5K, and I'm running my third marathon this year on June 4th (Sat.) in South Bend, IN.

Ibanezplyr: Long time, no see. Congrats on the work.

Michelle: Hope Loki is doing well for you and the family.

Peace Lily: Deb, hope your Dad is well. Sorry to hear about Ten. It is hard to lose a pet that you had for so long. It was especially hard (eight years ago) for me and my folks when we had to put down Molly, our golden retriever. We had her from when I was in preschool to when I was a senior in high school.

DavidFord: I read your post on your friend. That was totally awesome what you did for him. :) You are a true/real friend.

In Honor: Hi, I read your post and I want to say I'm sorry for your loss. I hope you are doing well.

Hope everyone else here is doing well.

Grant

WHEN IT'S MIDNIGHT ON THE MEADOW AND THE CATS ARE IN THE SHED AND THE RIVER TELLS THE STORY AT THE WINDOW BY MY BED

IF YOU LISTEN VERY CLOSELY BE AS QUIET AS YOU CAN IN THE YARD YOU'LL HEAR HIM IT IS THE PONY MAN

WE'RE ALWAYS THRE TO GREET HIM WHEN HE TUMBLES IN THE TOWN HE LEADS A STRING OF PONIES SOME ARE WHITE AND SOME ARE BROWN

AND THEY NEVER SEEM TO KICK OR BITE THEY ONLY WANT TO PLAY AND THEY LIVE ON CANDY APPLES INSTEAD OF OATS AND HAY

AND WHEN WE'RE ALL ASSEMBLED HE GIVES A SOFT COMMAND AND WE CLIMB ABOARD OUR PONIES AS IN A ROW THEY STAND

THEN DOWN THE ROAD WE GALLOP AND ACROSS THE FIELDS WE FLY AND SOON WE ALL GO SAILING INTO THE MIDNIGHT SKY

AND AS WE GAILY ROCK ALONG BESIDE A RIPPLING SEA THERE'S TOM AND DICK AND SALLY AND MARY JOE AND ME

AND THE PONY MAN IS LEADING 'CAUSE HE'S TRAVELLED HERE BEFORE AND HE GIVES A WHOOP AND HOLLER AT MR MOON'S FRONT DOOR

AND THEN WE STOP TO REST AWHILE WHERE THE SODA RIVER GLIDES UP TO THE SLIP COMES A PIRATE SHIP TO TAKE US FOR A RIDE

AND THE PONY MAN'S THE CAPTAIN AND THE CHILDREN ARE THE CREW AND WE GO IN SEARCH OF TREASURE AND LAUGH THE WHOLE NIGHT THROUGH

AND WHEN THE HOLD IS FILLED WITH GOLD AND THE SAILS BEGIN TO STRAIN AND THE DECKS PILED HIGH WITH APPLE PIE WE HEAD FOR PORT AGAIN

AND DOWN THE WHIRLING STAR CASE SO SWIFT OPUR PONIES FLY AND WE'RE SAFELY IN OUR BEDS AGAIN WHEN THE SUN BEAMS KISS THE SKY

WHEN IT'S MIDNIGHT ON THE MEADOW AND THE CATS ARE IN THE SHED AND THE RIVER TELLS A STORY AT THE WINDOW BY MY BED

IF YOU LISTEN VERY CLOSELY BE AS QUIET AS YOU CAN IN THE YARD YOU'LL HEAR HIM IT IS THE PONY MAN

Too Shay- I am doing well ....how about yourself??? Hope your daughter is doing good & your precious grandson also. Dad has not had his arm removed as of yet..but he has a raging infection in it now...on high powered antibiotics but even though he is bearing up well. He always does...just keeps on going.

Really feeling for the people in the Midwest right now.....getting slammed terribly :/.............................

Edit_ Glitzman - Congrats on your run & good luck on your upcoming runs. Ten is doing good ..she had her surgery and is almost good as new. :-)

Peace - Good on the old fella and i'm glad you're doing OK. I'm feeling much better after my recent work stint. Got my grandson at home today, daughter is back in hospital, bleeding again. She'll have a scan this morning to see exactly where the placenta is but they seem fairly sure it's just where they don't want it to be. Seems to me they're expecting a big bleed at any time as they have been double checking her blood type and have a canula in all ready. She's at 29 weeks now though so our new granddaughter has every chance of making it.

Two Shay- Have a great time with your grandson today...time spent with the little one is precious. I have been so fortunate to have my grandchildren live close but my youngest grandchild will be moving halfway across the USA in a few months... When my son goes to college his girlfriend will move with the baby. Of course that is how it should be but Gramma Deb is gonna miss the lil guy terribly... he has been living with us since birth. So my youngest is flying the nest ....& taking his lil guy with him.........really gonna have empty nest syndrome...lol.

All the best to your daughter ...praying that things will work out for the best result for mother and child...she really has been though so much already.

Glitzman: I've been on infrequently because my big bro is really sick. He may still have to have his leg removed. Prayers for him still. Just went down to see him and he was kinda dejected with all this stuff. The whole family kinda recharged his "CHI." It's what he really needed to handel this next round with the doctors. He's a rugged person. Work will bring me back slow so I don't start back up for a week or so. Kool enough.

Okay Cappy and Peace, this is gittin' scary....I also live in Oregon AND absolutely love Calvin and Hobbes to pieces!!!

Is it the water here? lol! Anyway, let me chime in to both of you that I hope your daughter and baby are okay Cappy, she's such a trooper with everything she's gone through...and Deb, still sayin my prayers for your sweet poppa and his challenges.

Meanwhile, can someone please clone me? Having Chris in the same town is wunnerful, truly but.....I'm so TIRED!!! Running raggedy all the time, sometimes it's for my folks and brother but mostly....for Chrispy. I need a nanny...for me, lol!
