I checked out some of those amps and even used they're still $700 and up, I am in college and paying $2000 a semester and have a part time job paying minimum wage. After I get a real job I will get better equipment.
American TV just called and said my amp was brought back from the dead, he replaced the tubes. so it looks like I'm not gonna switch them out with JJs yet. I might later on but for now its all good.
I just took it in yesterday and they said a minimum of two weeks and it might be ready this afternoon! and it was under the $65 quote.
at last a bit of good luck.
Thanks for the tips JemJVM

Dear mr. Satriani,
I am writing to ask you for a huge favor on behalf of my boyfriend Ian. On June 2nd 2012 it will be his 30th birthday. (I know it’s a bit early to be writing you about that now, but you never know how long it will take for this e-mail to reach you among all those other fan mails).
He’s absolutely mortified at turning 30. Why, I don’t exactly know. But because he’s feeling so bad about it I wanted to give him a huge gift. At first I thought about giving him a motorcycle, he really wants a Harley Davidson Sportster, but he wouldn’t be very happy about that because it would take away the pride of buying one himself. So I thought, what else would he be really excited about? Then I was listening to Black Swans and Wormhole Wizards and it dawned on me that it would drive him nuts if he would receive a birthday wish from you. So, the reason for my message: Would you please record a video message for my boyfriend Ian to wish him a happy birthday?
He is a guitarist himself, has been playing for nearly 20 years, and is very talented (if I may say so myself). He’s a big fan of your work. Has all your albums. And has been greatly influenced by your style of playing. So it would mean the world to him if he would receive a message from you for his birthday, while it would cost you less than 15 minutes to record something.
I hope this request reaches you and you will want to help me to reduce his disappointment at turning 30.
If you choose to do so, I'll provide you with an address to send it to.
With gratitude,
Yours sincerely,
Anja

Does it matter if I replace the pickups one at a time, I ordered the Mo'Joe but I am gonna wait a while before getting the PAF Joe and Pro Track pickups.
that way I only spend $80 right now instead of $200.
Is this a good idea or not. Hopefully its not a big deal.

Guitarman77897- To answer your earlier question about the Pro Track p/u in the middle; the blade-type pickups don't have the individual pole pieces like the regular humbuckers do, so you don't have to worry about F or Regular spacing. If you do need a good new all tube amp, I am selling my 55 Watt Bugera head for $300. It's only about 4 months old. (I just want to upgrade to a bigger Bugera and need that money to pay for it!) I would even consider shipping it for free. You would have to invest in either a 2X12 (recommended) or a 4X12 cab to go with it, though. You can get a 4X12 for $249, which is what I have, and love! Good luck with your BBW!
Randell- So sorry to hear about your loss. You will be in my thoughts. A Train of Angels shall be the song of the day!
Just can't get enough of the new CF song. I did purchase it from iTunes hoping it would be of better quality than what is streaming from the CF site, but I do not believe it is. I really hope that actual album's audio quality is better than this. Otherwise, two thumbs up!
Ian
EDIT- Guitarman- Regarding your p/u installation- Are you going to install them yourself or take it to a music shop? Reason I ask is that it would benefit you to have all three p/u's installed at the same time (to save on the cost of labor) (depending on the luthier). My guy charged me $60 to do both p/u's, the hi-pass filter and replace the coil tap in the JS-100. Had I taken it in two separate times to have that work done, he probably would have charged me $60 each time. Hope that makes sense. Here are a couple wiring diagrams that may help you... JEM555 and Ibanez RG series. Hope these help, and good luck! Also, be sure to check the polarity of the p/u's before you mount them (whether they need to be upside down or not) as this will affect the coil splitting when you use the 5-way switch. My shop installed the neck p/u upside down, so I had to unmount it and turn it around; fortunately he left enough wire so that I could do that.

Aaaaaaaaaaand, since my last post is probably close to the character limit (sorry!), I wanted to share this little story about Mike Fraser's 10 career defining records.
Also going to see Ned Evett and TD here in Boise Aug. 20th! Getting stoked about that; tickets are only $10!! Taking the wife to see the Blue Man Group in Sept. too. Saw them on DVD, figured it would be worth seeing them live while they are here.
OK I'll shut up again for a few weeks...

A lot of people thought that it was a joke. the star in a unknown festival in a insignifiant little town in France.
