It finally happened! Many of you know that I drive a city bus, so every person who gets on carrying a guitar I always ask "who's your favorite player?". I've been doing this for quite some time now, more than a couple of years anyway and I've gotten all manner of answers, last night (FINALLY!) a dude said "Joe Satriani!" I was thrilled to no end.

Only a couple more weeks until I get to see Joe AGAIN, here in Ottawa... I can't believe I go years without seeing him and then BAM! Twice in one year. Giggity!

Also, I can't bleeb that the Montreal shoot will be in 3D... I can't wait to see myself all over that puppy, hopefully the theatrical release will be somewhere close enough to me.

How is everyone doing? I flew to Kansas City on May 31st to see Buckethead (most expensive road-trip EVER!) and had a GREAT TIME! Pinchface on drums and Dan Monti on bass. It was a helluva good time. My videos can be seen here:
Phydeaux_3

One last thing, the new Tony Macalpine album is absolutely amazing. I pre-ordered so I got the early digital download (plus a tee-shirt too!) and I haven't been able to stop listening to it yet. As a charter member of the shred genre, and indeed one of the first and best shredders, he has STILL got "it", I can almost guarantee that you won't be disapointed. There's a few vids up at my uToob channel there so check them out!

smooches,

Boone - Further to what Joe says in the linky that the peaceful one posted here follows my version of Ten Words which i've just dug up from way back in 2006:

TEN WORDS

I’ve been a thinking lately

That I am so much in love with you

We been through it together baby

And we’ve seen our problems through

Now is the time for me to speak out

I’ve got ten words for you

Just – wanna – spend – the – rest – of – my – life – with – you

Just – wanna – spend – the – rest – of – my – life – with - you

I know it’s been a long time coming

And you’ve been real patient too

I may be hard to live with sometimes

But I’d give my life for you

Now is the time for me to say it

I’ve got ten words for you

Just – wanna – spend – the – rest – of – my – life – with - you

(Instrumental)

I’ve been a thinking lately

That I am so much in love with you

We been through it together baby

And we’ve seen our problems through

Now is the time for me to speak out

I’ve got ten words for you

Just – wanna – spend – the – rest – of – my – life – with – you

Just – wanna – spend – the – rest – of – my – life – with - you

Edit.....Barf LOL

Ovation - It is great that daddy's little princess is back home, thanks for caring. It's kinda difficult, the more probs she has with her pregnancy the more I get to babysit my grandson. Obviously I don't want her to have difficulties but I just love having the wee fella round at our house no matter how hard work it is for an old fecker like me.

mikesb, I presume?

Been around. I think I've only missed two (Satchafunkalis & Black Swans). I commented here about chickenfoot; I think you called it an open-faced sammich, which Joe hisseff posted directly after.

How you been?

Black dog: yeah, i din't know they were limited...I suppose your'e right, it wouldn't be limited anymore!

Well then, what about them doing them in these colours CA: candy apple (they already do) White (like the 2400) Chrome, but this wouldn't be like the chromeboys, i mean they could make one entirely out of metal. (which i think they did with the chromeboys anyway, but they could do this one with iron-TRAIN UP YOUR SHOULDER MUSCLES!!!)

They should definitely do JS 1200's that are like Kirk Hammett's blue liquid guitar-except that they have red liquid in instead. What does everyone think of THAT?

Life near the lake is good.

It has been a long time.

A while (long while) ago I sent you an email - just checking in.

Life is good for you (and yours)?

Glad to hear things are going well for you.

I don't remember seeing your E-mail, but I rarely check that account these days; I'll double check.

Life has its ups and downs, but overall things are going as well as can be expected.

Re: Mrs. Palin.

While I am envious of her outdoor skills, I have been less than impressed on the political front. She has the potential to make some waves, but I don't know that she would make a good PotUS.

I'm still very impressed with this guy, snowball's chance in hell though he may have. He actually understands the core economic issues (which are the key to most of our other problems down here).

Bill Clinton (broken clock) was actually on the right track with "It's the economy stupid.". Unfortunately for him, and the rest of us, he understands economics no better than the common house cat.

Unfortunately, I think our choices in 2012 will probably be a quasi-socialist who doesn't understand economics and uses single issues to incite fear and loathing and a quasi-fascist who doesn't understand economics and uses single issues to incite fear and loathing. Hell of a choice :?(, but why change now?

Edit: Uh-oh...it's started again.

Anyone who doubted my identity should feel quite at ease on the matter now ;?)

Say - did you see Joe will be in NWI this summer - next month !!

Within driving distance still, right?

Road Trip !!

I am enjoying the political banter again - glad to have you back.

I sent an email - probably last year sometime, just basically saying HI - I figured the government finally found you - I assumed you ended up at gitmo or someplace worse.

Didn't know, thanks for the heads up. While not too awfully far, I don't think the timing or funding will work out for me on that one. Maybe next time.

AN INTERESTING OBSERVATION

1. The sport of choice for the urban poor is BASKETBALL.

2 The sport of choice for maintenance level employees is BOWLING.

3 The sport of choice for front-line workers is FOOTBALL.

4 The sport of choice for supervisors is BASEBALL.

5 The sport of choice for middle management is TENNIS.

And....

6 The sport of choice for corporate executives and officers is GOLF.

THE AMAZING CONCLUSION:

The higher you go in the corporate structure, the smaller your balls become.

There must be a ton of people in Washington playing marbles!

Ovation _ Talking about Vai substance.. as you broached the subject.. well, Vai arised in 80's, after evh revolution & Joe's teaching. To me, Vai created something like the super guitar heroe, & expanded it inside the Frank Zappa vision. Here is his part of the story, i think. Do you agree?

Richie Kotzen : to tell the truth, i don't know his work.

I'm supposed to jam soon with this man

Zenfish: I definately agree about \//\| carrying on the Zappa roadmap, but I think Mike Keneally does it much better with his all around theatrics and craziness on the guitar..and keyboard....

Alain is very melodic and has great tone..congrats on your the opportunity to jam with him..very cool indeed....

Btw, Kotzen plays without a pick these days.... At about 4:40 he goes ZZTopish, lol, check out how he goes into hyperdrive..he is constantly evolving....

rCeUdTuHx: Ron Paul is who I'm rooting for too, he makes too much sense though, lol, and IMO, he would bring some real change to WA..but you gotta have a great supporting staff as well....

Satriella: Thanks for sharing and the pics don't look dark at all..it really has a Satch feel to it :-)
